  1. Been through Batavia on my way to the Buffalo are a couple of times. As I recall it's about a 30-45 minute drive along I90 east of the Buffalo area. Seemed like a nice place to have a stadium. It seems like it would give that small town feel that you get in Orchard Park (which I love) yet it's not like it would be out in the middle of nowhere. But I'll admit, I'm not sure what it would do to the Buffalo economy overall.
  2. Well-said. Imagine if Luck had Sammy to throw to. It could possibly develop into the best QB/WR tandem in the league.
  3. The Sam Bradford at 15 is IMO destroying any credibility this list may have. 7 years, never made the playoffs, and he's ahead of guys who've gotten there consistently like Dalton (granted, he's had AJ Green to throw to), Flacco who has won a Superbowl, and Eli who has won 2 Superbowls. Also think Stafford is too high and it's too soon to put WInston, Mariota, and Wentz as high as they are.
  4. I remember this game/ending. I said it back then and 19 years later my opinion hasn't changed, if that was PI then just about every desperation heave at the end of a game is PI. Not only was it on a hail mary, where receivers and defenders are usually making all kinds of contact with each other, but there was barely any contact at all between the defender and receiver on that play. Not sure what they were looking at. Dreadfully bad call. That was almost as bad of a call as the FailMary.
  5. Epic scene with Shiva (the tiger) jumping in just before Carl's about to get his brains bashed in. Agreed, she was great.
  6. Also, a lot of people forget the Rams originated in Cleveland. So the Rams and the old Browns (now Ravens) both left Cleveland.
  7. I had always been worried about whether or not I'd be accepted among native WNYers as a Bills fan since I'm not from the area. Turns out, on this board, as well as with the people I watch Bills games with each Sunday, it doesn't really matter where I'm from. As long as I'm a Bills fan, I'm accepted. Best fanbase in the league.
  8. Grew up in MD and first got into football in the middle of the 1990 season when Buffalo was in the middle of it's first super bowl run. The Colts had left a long time ago and the idea of the Browns moving from Cleveland was nowhere near a possibility yet. I gravitated towards the Bills and stuck by them ever since. I do admittedly root for the Ravens but I am a Bills fan first and foremost.
  9. 2009-2010, we got three blizzards in one winter including two of them in one week. Shoveled a ton that winter. I did the polar bear plunge that year in driving snow (fortunately not one of the blizzards but still a big snowstorm). I couldn't feel anything from the time I went under water until I got back to the bus. But this was in MD. I'm sure our worst winter is nothing compared to even an average winter in WNY.
  10. Just heard about that. Sad to hear.
  11. I do like the band though
  12. Hate: Patriots of course and 49ers. At this point I can't say I hate the Dolphins or Jets as I just want anyone to unseat the Pats in our division. Like: Giants and Ravens, perhaps the two teams who have been the biggest postseason thorns in the Patriots' side. By that logic I guess you can throw the Broncos in as well.
  13. Might be a little too soon but I think beating Carolina would be far from stunning. I feel like the year they made the super bowl was sort of a fluke. Cam IMO is a little overrated. I wouldn't be too surprised if we beat Oakland (or Las Vegas) either. Their defense is still suspect.
  14. I hear a lot of people make this similar argument but I feel like you could say this about almost any band/artist.
  15. Nickelback (the band, not some defender). I don't get why they are hated so badly.
  16. The Walking Dead Game of Thrones Lost Big Bang Theory Seinfeld
  17. Delorean - set to 01/01/1991
  18. Come on Middle Tennessee vs Northwestern
  19. 100% Agree, and I would throw in that a lot of New England's big wins at least from the early years of the Brady/Belichick era were on the defense. When your defense shuts down opposing offenses with a WR playing DB that says a lot about the man behind that defense, not so much the quarterback. When playing for the Colts, Peyton never had a D even remotely close to being that reliable.
  20. In that case, the Bills are going to the playoffs
  21. Regarding Montana, Manning was better than Montana. I would also say Elway was. I personally find Montana to be overrated. Great, but overrated. He was surrounded by talent and had one of the best head coaches ever. Elway meanwhile made his coaches look better than they were (pretty clear by now that Mike Shanahan was a mediocre at best HC who benefited from Elway and Terrell Davis). But at this point I would agree that Brady is GOAT.
