You’re right. I forgot to include the insane number of lucky INTs our defense hauled in throughout the regular season, which actually DID have something to do with us winning. If my memory is correct, TuhROD had two actually good games - Miami and Seattle - that season.

Andy Dalton had more to with getting to the playoffs than our own QB did. That is a fact.

I feel like, when the chips are down, Josh has historically (and figuratively) curled up into a fetal position, stick his thumb in his mouth and rocked himself to sleep. I feel like he made an improvement in that area a couple years ago, but something set him back at the 1/4 mark of last season and it’s clearly carried over into this season. My “lazy” comment was in reference to the reports that he’s not a diligent film watcher. And to Gunner’s earlier point, he seems to have regressed with regard to reading defenses. I have been a Josh fan since the second we drafted him and I still am. But something is amiss.

I think the “Josh is lazy,” narrative may be true. Add lazy to mentally fragile and this is what you get.

I haven’t let the analytics ruin it for me. Of all the Manfred-era rule changes, the only one I hate is the runner on 2nd for extra innings. But I just think it boils down to having better things to do/better stuff to watch.

@ExWNYer @Another Fan @SinceThe70s I’m all in on an AZ/TX World Series wITH AZ winning it. I despise the Phillies and the Astros. If that’s the WS matchup, I hate to say it, but I’d root for Philly. This has nothing to do with the Astros’ cheating scandal. I just think they’re a bunch of arrogant pricks. But they are - and have been - a hell of a ball team. I haven’t watched a lick of postseason baseball. Probably the first time in my adult life I’ve skipped this much of the post season. I plan to tune into the World Series and - regardless of the teams - I really want to see some high quality baseball.
