  1. Lets see: Woods: Goff, a good O-line, a great D that puts the offense back on the field, and a RB named Gurley. Also has other stud WR's to take attention off of him. Watkins: plays in uptempo throwing offense with Andy Reed. Has arguably the 2nd best TE in football on his team, and another stud WR in T. Hill to take attention off of him. But rant on about how the Bills "let these guys go." Woods would have been nice to keep, but too much money for a WR in a rebuilding offense, and he'd be clobbered here with double coverage.
  2. yep. the team around him is awful. no running game, below-average D.
  3. having the highest ratings and having a decline year over year are vastly different metrics.
  4. I think Gory got tossed onto McCoy, fracturing, or not fracturing, his ribs.
  5. at some point, this needs to happen, somehow, to shut up analyst who say stupid things like this. Then the analyst should loose their pay for a day.
  6. My 2 cents. I did not want to draft Allen due to accuracy issues. But he has been better than I thought. He is mentally strong, and can move in the pocket. He also has ZERO help at the WR and OL positions, 2 areas where rookie QB's need help. If he doesn't improve, I can see us taking another QB in the 1st round next year, or early 2nd depending. Nothing to be lost by putting him out there now.
  7. I do love the optimism. would feel better if game were at Buffalo. Perhaps Diggs quits at halftime to sign with the Bills!!!
  8. no kidding. A Dolphin player does a D-bag thing. ?
  9. he is doing okay in Dallas, and would be an instant upgrade to our "WR's.
  10. It was nice to see the ball spread around. But he did miss some wide-open WR's. Not sure if he is hitting the progressions fast enough yet, or if the playcalling is spreading out the targets. Either way, nice development, and I expect his progressions and sight of open WR's will improve as the game slows-down.
  11. the freaking Browns had no problem getting FA's to go there. We will have no issue getting FA's to come here.
  12. you need to be sent out more often!!!
  13. Oliver or Bosa will be here soon.....
  14. I like Barr and Saffold. What do you think about Coleman from ATL. I think he is a FA after this year?
  15. This can't be true. I've read on TBD that we are the ONLY team in the NFL with any drama, consisting of a washed-up CB pouting and quitting at halftime, and a HC taking over the defensive play-calling duties.
  16. I think with some cap space we are better in FA next year. Although it looks like we will have to hit in the draft on a day 1 starter for OL as few appear available in FA. Kirby: any upcoming FA's you think we should look at?
  17. the refs should be fined. In fact, this crew was so bad yesterday it should be broken-up. Everyone was timid and they made terrible calls in addition to this one. Double incompetence on this play: (1) everyone knows that when a helmet comes off the play is blown dead. Not hard to see that the guy with the ball does not have his helmet!; and (2) not ejecting the player for leading with his head into a helmet-less player--a point of emphasis this year. If players are fined/ejected for "not getting the rules," refs also should be.
  18. facts that you don't like are not "BS".
  19. Davis: washed up. Boldin: where is he now??? Incognito: went crazy.
  20. Love it!!!! I'd rather have people like McD and Bean that move on from mistakes (benching Peterman, taking over playcalling from Frazier) than people who stubbornly sit by their decisions trying not to look bad and then blaming the negative outcomes on others.
  21. I liked the announcers assessment of it being called on Hughes, "um, no."
  22. Agree. no doubt Allen had mistakes, esp. with the overloads. But giving up a sack on a hand-off like this O-line did is laughably bad. I think Allen will learn and improve, not sure how much better this O-line can get.
  23. we didn't have much this offseason. We were fishing for reclamation projects/easy to get/low cost guys. Hyde and Poyer were nice additions last year.
  24. I'm not umbrellaing anything. This regime also made the playoffs last year, but some seem to cherry-pick the bad decisions. Frazier had a good track record as a D-coordinator, and I don't think it was a bad decision to start Peterman--who had a great preseason, over a rookie QB, behind an abysmal O-line, in the first game. I'd rather have a coach like McD that makes corrections and moves forward than a stubborn coach who sticks by his initial decisions hoping to be proven right at some point.
  25. today's officiating crew was a total joke. They botched the ejection there, botched our fumble recovery, and called a phantom lining up in the neutral zone on us on a Chargers 3rd down (it was a false start). agree 100%. Did not lose because of them, but they were AWFUL. It looked like they were all timid and/or had no clue what was going on sometimes.
