  1. Don't forget about Bobby Chandler : Chandler played in the National Football League between 1971 and 1982 for the Buffalo Bills (1971–1979) and the Oakland Raiders (1980–1982). He led the NFL in receptions from 1975-1977 with 176, and was named Second-Team All-Pro in 1975 and 1977. He also caught four passes for 77 yards in the Raiders 27-10 Super Bowl XV victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in January 1981. In the first game of the 1981 season against the Denver Broncos, Chandler stretched out for a pass and took a hit so severe it ruptured his spleen. Chandler was rushed to a Denver hospital where doctors saved his life. Chandler made a miraculous recovery and returned to the field later in the season.[citation needed] Chandler finished his career with 370 receptions for 5,243 yards and 48 touchdowns, along with 11 carries for 18 yards
  2. Nice Read. The only thing I don't agree with is that "the refs threw us a bone". It was a legitimate call. They didn't give the Bills a gift.
  3. I hope the Bills become great again. These fans deserve it
  4. Love him or hate him...You have to admit Marv Albert really sinks his teeth into the material he's covering.
  5. You're right , of course he had to use them, but I give credit to the head coach and the quarterback for not wasting any time outs earlier in the half. The past Bils teams always seemed to waste time outs. Either they were not getting the plays in on time and were forced to call time outs or the defense was confused and forced to use one. If they had wasted just one time out, they lose.
  6. There was no planned celebration. It was pure emotion. To penalize the Bills on that instance would have been ridiculous.
  7. Totally agree with this post. And where was the referee when Mario was being tackled on what would have been his 5th and a half sack? Where cam rolled out and completed a huge first down. Why are there no holding calls in these first two games against the other teams? But they call this senseless holding call on a 4th and 18 punt.
  8. You might argue that they are wasting their money. I think Bills fans go for the experience. They are smart enough to know when their team is bad. They also realise that not supporting the franchise will ultimately mean losing it. Maybe that's not fair, but that is the reality. I think there are many in the league, like Jerry Jones and others who would love to move the Bills to a place like Los Angeles or maybe even Toronto, but it's those loyal fans who keep going to the games that makes it such a horrible pr move to move this franchise. Thos fans really do keep this franchise in Buffalo. They deserve alot of credit.
  9. Seems like You might be the one doing drugs here. Do your friends usually hang out with idiots ?
  10. "If I wanna win, I better go for it on 4th down. Wait, if I do that I might look like a bad coach...Punt it, Tom Brady won't drive it down, use up the clock and win the game "
  11. What makes You think one week where the entire division "might" lose would give the Bills hope for a playoff run? What makes You think we will be winning enough games to be in a position for a playoff run? KInd of a silly post.
  12. I wonder how I made it though the superbowl years
  13. IInteresting take on how the quarterback can help a running back. Good point.
  14. This is a good analysis of that game, except I don't think Talley was overrated.
  15. You know what takes care of that issue? Winning
  16. Penaltes, turnovers and the drop. Even after the penalties and turnovers, if Stevie catches that ball, the Bills probably win.
  17. I was thinking that also. Gino's pro career seems to have been more successful too. We should have drafted Gino
  18. And if they slowed it up and changed their philosophy in the fourth quarter and lost, you would be saying they got too conservative and that Marrone was another Dick Jauron. Do you forget how it was to have a conservative coach like Jauron? I haven't, and I say it's easy to second guess after the game is over. As thry say, hindsight is 20/20
  19. Why don't we lament that if Bruce Smith had played today, the Bills would have won. The fact is, we know he is never going to play again. He is no longer on the Bills or in football. It is totally ridiculous to keep bringing Hernandez into the "what if" category when he is no longer on the Patriots nor will he ever play again. How about if superman were playing for the Patriots, they would have really killed the Bills? Or how about this...what if Gilmore and Byrd had played?
  20. It's going to be a long year.......
  21. Nowhere does it say that Manuael is going to practice "today". And, unless he is able to get in 3 quality practices next week, Tuel is the starter week one.
  22. Correct, the NFPA has an obligation to fight for all players who paid union dues and are entitled to representation. AH has not been convicted of anything right now. If he fulfilled the contract stipulations for working out, then he should be paid. Kraft should know better.
  23. I think the OP has it about right...5-11..........hope I'm wrong
