  1. I think it might be Byrd's(E.Parker's) plan to sit most of the year and come back for just enough games to show the rest of the league that he still has the ability to be great. This minimizes his chances of getting hurt and at the same time, in his mind, to be able to get top money in free agency. He would also think that this would force the Bils to not franchise him next year. Of course that would be violating the collective bargaining agreement but too hard to prove since it's a convenient type of injury for this course of action.
  2. People say it's mostly about execution, but I think the offensive game plan also plays a major role along with the play calling. Hackett doesn't seem to know how to attack an opponent's weeknesses. Who is watching the Bills and can't see that they seem to run only a handfull of plays. It's predictable and boring. Hackett is bad.
  3. This idiot DC needs to be reined in by the loud mouth head coach. He's trying to make excuses for the player who lost his cool because SJ was beating him on the field. Instead of getting his player under control, he now gives him more excuses to take more pemalties since his coach is telling the world that he was justified. What a bunch of clowns in that organizatin.
  4. YES!!!!! just like what happened withn the Sabres.....wait..oh right, that didn't work either.
  5. Too bad the Bills didn't know that Levitre was going to leave in free agency..if they did, they could have planned for it and spent some of the 20 million in cap space on a guard that can actually play the position
  6. Tough break for him and the team. He was coming into his own this year.
  7. I laughed when I read this post.....then I cried, becasue it's true
  8. LOL, i was bemoaning the same thing yesterday. I literally yelled "why do we have so many injuries every %^&%@ year"
  9. Or spend some of the $20 million in cap space.
  10. The Bills only lost by a touchdown because of all the penalties against the Jets. If it wasn't for that, the Bills lose by alot more. So In all honestly, I cannot see this as a positive. The fact the Bills lost to a team who had a crazy amount of penalties and two turnovers, is a negative. The Bills were awful.
  11. We’re an open-minded, educated generation, so let’s insult each other more thoughtfully. If You had a member of your family who had a developmental disabilty, you might think twice before you called someone a a "retard" when You mean to insult them.
  12. I agree that Hackett seems to be in over his head. Let's hope he's smart and a fast learner. Maybe he will learn and get better along with Manuel. We can only hope.
  13. If I'm a fan of those franchises, at least I have experienced multiple superbowl victories. I give my team a break then.Unlike the Bills, who's wheels are always spinning. Sorry for turning this into a "woe is me" reply.
  14. I agree. Right now Hackett appears to be in way over his head. But isn't this what you get when You hire a college coach who thinks he can bring in a college assistant who has no NFL experience?
  15. Will they keep these nice pieces? Or will they continue to draft players to replace players they lose to free agency?
  16. You are absolutely right. Rogers cost them the game. He was just horrible. I have to say this about the Colin Brown situation as regards to the football decision makers on this team. I can undertand why they might have come to the conclusion that Levitre's contract was too much to pay for a guard. What I just cannot fathom is that they seemingly had no plan to replace him. Did they really think Colin Brown was a capable replacement? Because if they did, I have to question their ability to grade talent. They sit there with all that cap room and they decide to go ahead with Colin Brown? Really????
  17. Hackett is showing his inexperience. The Offense isn't very diverse. They run a hurry up offense but the scheme is so basic and predictable that the hurry up doesn't really accomplish much besides getting the defense onto the field quicker. Spiller thrived last year. Why? Gailey got him into favorable matchups and into space. Hackett doesn't know how to use him. Of course, last year gailey was criticized for not using him enough. Maybe Gailey knew what he was doing. I know this is not a situation that could have happened, but the Bills would have been better off with Gailey as OC this year.
  18. The offensive game planning clearly lacks diversity. The coaches don't seem to know how to get Spiller into space and to create matchup problems for the defense. Where are the screens? Why isn't Spiller involved in the passing game? The Bills are running a very basic scheme offensively. I hope Hackett is a quick study because right now he's showing his inexperience. He was badly outcoached today.
  19. Don't forget about Bobby Chandler : Chandler played in the National Football League between 1971 and 1982 for the Buffalo Bills (1971–1979) and the Oakland Raiders (1980–1982). He led the NFL in receptions from 1975-1977 with 176, and was named Second-Team All-Pro in 1975 and 1977. He also caught four passes for 77 yards in the Raiders 27-10 Super Bowl XV victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in January 1981. In the first game of the 1981 season against the Denver Broncos, Chandler stretched out for a pass and took a hit so severe it ruptured his spleen. Chandler was rushed to a Denver hospital where doctors saved his life. Chandler made a miraculous recovery and returned to the field later in the season.[citation needed] Chandler finished his career with 370 receptions for 5,243 yards and 48 touchdowns, along with 11 carries for 18 yards
  20. Nice Read. The only thing I don't agree with is that "the refs threw us a bone". It was a legitimate call. They didn't give the Bills a gift.
  21. I hope the Bills become great again. These fans deserve it
  22. Love him or hate him...You have to admit Marv Albert really sinks his teeth into the material he's covering.
  23. You're right , of course he had to use them, but I give credit to the head coach and the quarterback for not wasting any time outs earlier in the half. The past Bils teams always seemed to waste time outs. Either they were not getting the plays in on time and were forced to call time outs or the defense was confused and forced to use one. If they had wasted just one time out, they lose.
  24. There was no planned celebration. It was pure emotion. To penalize the Bills on that instance would have been ridiculous.
  25. Totally agree with this post. And where was the referee when Mario was being tackled on what would have been his 5th and a half sack? Where cam rolled out and completed a huge first down. Why are there no holding calls in these first two games against the other teams? But they call this senseless holding call on a 4th and 18 punt.
