I think you are right about Spencer Brown. He took a step back in my opinion this year though. You're right about a big strong running back being a standard except the Bills haven't had one in years. I think a better than league minimum is needed though. Imagine if Josh has a running game, and they add the receivers you talked about? I wouldn't mind a tight end at number one either. There are two very good ones in the draft.

I agree with you. The defense was awful down the stretch and worse in the playoffs. Too much money spent on an ineffective D-Line. I also think they are not physical enough in the secondary.

A healthy Lamar is worth more than Watson, but he made a big mistake stepping on the field last year without a new contract in place. Now this makes two years in a row he got hurt and couldn't finish the season. The ravens have just two decisions: Pay him a fully guaranteed contract or trade him for as much as you can get. Diggs is going nowhere. The cap implications make that move impossible. As far as next year, I do think there is a good possibility the Bills fall to third place in the division, especially if the Jets find themselves a capable quarterback

Any cap problems that the Bills have right now comes from overpaying on the defensive side. Look at our D line. All that money put into it and we get nothing come playoff time. Put the money into a better Offensive line and more weapons for our franchise quarterback. Then the Bills will be dangerous come playoff time. Also, in my humble opinion, they need a an upgrade from Frazier.

Honestly, this may be unpopular, but I think they need a new mind running the defense. Where is the creativity in the defense? It's too simple, no stunts, no disguise. Come playoff time, better coaches take Frazier's lunch money. How many years will this be the case before they make a change? Having a top five defense in the regular season has done nothing for them come playoff time.
