  1. But will he demand a King's ransom?
  2. Any truth to the rumor that Metcalf wants the G-meh or the Jest to draft him so he can rock a 'DKNY' t-shirt? ?
  3. I like Hockenson as a prospect but it's disturbing to me that so many people are willing to overdraft him at #9. Look at the list of TEs drafted since 2009. There are some very good names but the highest drafted were Eric Ebron (#10 in 2014) & O.J. Howard (#19 in 2017). Ebron was a reach and a borderline bust (until last year) at #10. Howard was very good value at #19, IMO. Notice no Gronk (RD 2), Ertz (RD 2), or Kelce (RD 3). If Hockenson turns out to be half the players those guys are, the Bills would be fortunate. The 2017 draft was a good one for TEs. Besides Howard, it produced some very good up-and-coming, potential stars and none of them were taken higher than #19: Evan Engram (#23 NYG, RD 1), David Njoku (#29 CLE, RD 1), and George Kittle (#146 SF, RD 5). The board got this one wrong, IMO. Color me surprised if the Bills actually pull the trigger on Hockenson that high. History (theirs and league), suggests otherwise. Interesting to me in the list below is that 4 of the first 10 TEs taken in the last 10 years were by perennial 'also-rans' Detroit and Cincinnati. Baltimore has also attempted to get their guy twice but not any higher than #25. FWIW, my choice was Sweat. That may not be wise either, who knows. I just don't think that TE is the right value at #9. We'll see. The 1st TE taken in each draft since 2009: 2018: Hayden Hurst (#25 BAL, RD 1) 2017: O.J. Howard (#19 TB, RD 1) 2016: Hunter Henry (#35 LAC, RD 2) 2015: Maxx Williams (#55 BAL, RD 2) 2014: Eric Ebron (#10 DET, RD 1) 2013: Tyler Eifert (#21 CIN, RD 1) 2012: Coby Fleener (#34 IND, RD 2) 2011: Kyle Rudolph (#43 MIN, RD 2) 2010: Jermaine Gresham (#21 CIN, RD 1)) 2009: Brandon Pettigrew (#20 DET, RD 1) http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?position=TE&type=position
  4. So what you're saying is that when Denver saw they were getting a Chubb, they boned the Bills...
  5. Between, AB, Burfict, a clueless owner, and one of the most out of touch and overrated coaches in the league heading up a team with one foot out the door to Sin City, it will be fun to watch this shite show unfold and implode as the year goes along.
  6. I don't disagree, Virg. I'd take him, as well. Just passing along that tidbit.
  7. FWIW, there was a guy on Sirius NFL Radio the other day who covers the 49ers and he was convinced that they would take Williams.
  8. The front of the jersey should also display NEW JERSEY not NEW YORK.
  9. He's a NYC guy who is actually a Giants and Yankees fan. I first saw him on 'Loudmouths' on SNY. I have always liked him but I get why some people don't. He can be a little flamboyant and over the top but he's a straight shooter. He did rightfully criticize the Bills for the Rex Ryan hire and said that Rex would be fired within two years. He has also shown the Bills love and always refers to Buffalo/Orchard Park as "lovely Western New York" and he openly called out the Buffalo bashers after the AB situation as ignorant and childish. He's not afraid to express his opinions and he seems like a good guy regardless of what he may or may not say about the Bills.
  10. The new green unis are okay but the Namath era ones they were sporting were still their best look. The new black unis are a complete abomination and so '90s. The only outdated element they're missing to complete that crappy ensemble is a splash of teal.
  11. There is certainly a viable scenario where QW makes it to the 4th spot. Given that Arizona takes Murray, if SF and the Jest take Bosa and Allen then Oakland is next. I can't see them passing on QW given Gruden's gaffe with the whole Mack situation but the Raiduhs gonna Raiduh so maybe they can be coaxed into trading out of 4. Are you then willing to pay the price to get to that spot? That is the question that the Bills front office has to ask themselves. Draft day can't get here fast enough. ?
  12. The smart money says to hold off until they triple dog dare you...
  13. Me neither. Good luck to all the Twatters out there...
  14. Nice thought and I agree that they will not make all 10 of those picks but I believe that Hockenson will be gone no later than the mid-teens. Moving back into the 1st Round that high would be too costly, IMO.
  15. ^^^ This. I like Hockenson but I'm taking Oliver over him every day and twice on Sunday.
  16. Born into it...it's in my DNA. And I'm loyal to a fault...must be my Dad's Sicilian blood coursing through my veins. Dad is from Dunkirk (no, his name is not Don) and he has been a Bills fan since their inception. Prior to the Bills, he followed the Browns since they were the closest team geographically to Buffalo and he loved legendary Browns QB Otto Graham. I had an otherwise happy childhood growing up in WNY so I think the Bills must be my karmic payback to keep me from getting too full of myself. But to throw the Sabres and Mets on top of the Bills in my lifelong 'fandom of misery', I now think I must have been a real SOB in a former life. In a cruel twist of fate, my dad was not a baseball fan but got hooked on the Mets in the early '80s because of my brother and me. You're welcome, old man. Payback is a beotch.
  17. Maybe. Would definitely come with an attitude and his own sundial to time him in the 40, so there's that. But...but...he's heard of him.
  18. They have plenty of cap room. Take the full hit this year and let him walk after the season.
  19. Bennifer, Kimye, McBeane...help me get these stupid kids off of my lawn!
