trading dareus was the last contradiction to "win now" that the players could overlook.

Rank in order the reasons for the loss last night
jethro_tull replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
an exhausted team coming off a big home win ran into a motivated division rival fighting for their life on their own turf. they'll recover. -
What Would It Take For You To Quit The Bills?
jethro_tull replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
relocation of course but i would lose interest if they had an owner who showed a complete disregard for fielding a competitive team. -
Around The League: NFL Week 6 (I think?)

but the call was a TD and the replays were inconclusive at best. -

richie incognito "nothing to do here"
jethro_tull replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he sounds like a pouty bored elementary school kid. here's one thing you won't be able to do like the big cities- get stuck in traffic like in chicago where it takes 45 minutes to drive 9 miles. the buffalo area offers some of the most accessible and diverse recreational opportunities in the country. maybe his passport expired? hey richie, you're a smart boy and i'm sure if you put your mind to it you can think of some really fun things to do! -
I had to shut off the WGR post game
jethro_tull replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
really? that is quite sad. i wish murph and donald jones would do the show, i like both of those guys. a little homer but still some objectivity, -
his blitzes are well timed and it seems that he has them hitting the right gaps because someone nearly always gets through. even if they don't result in sacks they have been forcing the QBs to make some panicked, ill advised throws!

Duh But seriously Frazier comes from a championship playing pedigree (1985 Chicago Bears, arguably the best defense of all time- they were fierce) and has been a very good DC. Not so great as a head coach but this is good because maybe he will not be poached from the Bills.

One Final Observation on the Denver Game
jethro_tull replied to Juice_32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
excellent observation, i remember thinking that it was a cool move to ice the opponents before critical plays and give the defense the time to rest and set up. mcd understands the psychology of the game. we could all be in for an exciting ride! -
Tell us what you really think, Shady...

often appalling for sure, still doesn't make it OK. -
isn't it safe to say that sammy's ability as a player has nothing to do with why he is no longer on the team?

but when you resort to those comments don't you become one yourself? and if you support those comments just because you agree with him aren't you in effect one also? what ever happened to respect and dignity when disagreeing with someone. -
Final Play--- drop or bad throw poll
jethro_tull replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
off the finger tips of the receiver who was in the midst of a fully extended horizontal dive- he did not have an inch to spare so to speak. in other words a low percentage catch by even the best receivers. since the receiver was wide open there was no reason to make him dive for the ball in the first place. -
Michael's comments stung, no doubt. But the Patriots as a team and organization are so strong that they can make the best of a player's talents. The Bills need to start dong this in order to avoid these kinds of comparisons. Gillislee is a good second level runner and looked good on those TDs because of the Patriots strong offensive line. Gilmore seemed to be exposed for what he is and could be a liability to them as the season progresses. Hogan looked extremely average when Brady ran out of first line receivers to target and against the Chief's very goo defense. In fact Brady looked average when his remaining receivers could not get open. The way the game played out is somewhat of a vindication to Michael's cheap shots. The Bills need to put up and Michael's will shut up.

Boldin does want to play football
jethro_tull replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boldin is over the hill and ridiculously slow. He is of value by his reputation alone and I doubt if he plays for anyone this season. -
No. 1) They haven't played a single game yet. 2) The moves are not that bad if you investigate the rationale. 3) Whaley was the worst GM in the league with a league low of 22% drafted players on the roster. Could not get any worse.

Absolute BS that barbeque is the most popular flavor! I keep seeing more and more food items in the supermarket with "buffalo" flavor. there are probably hundreds of items on the shelves- stouffers buffalo flavored mac and cheese for cripes sakes! the other day they had birds eye buffalo cauliflower!

I was back last week-end for a family wedding and the place blew me away since my last visit 5 years ago! Granted it was gorgeous weather but when was the last time you saw lots people actively walking around looking for something to do in the heart of downtown Buffalo on a Saturday morning! There were lots of people milling about, it was awesome! The new hotels are spectacular! Delaware Avenue is as beautiful as ever, even Main street is looking really nice thanks to the Canisius college properties. I truly believe my dream has been realized! If they would just clean up the blight along 190 from the south towns it would be a very nice drive. The only problem I see for future metro development are those ageing wood sided 2-story victorian homes that make up the bulk of the housing within city limits- so many square miles of them and they are not easy to renovate because of their cramped dated floor plans and old HVAC and piping systems.
