This could easily go the way of the Chicago Bears season last year where they signed "veteran" QB Mike Glennon to be the interim starter until Mitch Trubisky was ready. Trubisky had limited college experience (31 games) slightly more than Allen (27 games). Glennon was awful (not all his fault) and was booted in favor of Trubisky week 4. In other words, AJ McCarron could easily wind up making the case for Allen to start.

why do i actually need to watch him play when troy aikman said hes going to be a huge bust? after watching the videos i dont think troy aikman ever watched him play.

start him when he is ready. he only has (2) seasons of experience. putting a QB in when he isn't ready can derail his whole career.

how about a list of suggestions for XFL II ?- no instant replay (controversy makes for competition! ) no defenseless player penalties. mandatory cheerleader TV coverage. no timeouts until the final 2:00 minutes of each half. 15 sec. play clock.
