  1. more wiggle room for the effin refs to screw us.
  2. yeah on the two square inches you can still see of his face.
  3. yeah, he's the guy beane had to wrestle with to sign for cripes sakes. i thought he'd be better than the "percy harvin" signing but not so sure now.
  4. Tyrod is doing his best to squelch any interest by other teams.
  5. Tyrod is showing his best tank mode. A real team player.
  6. just affirms what they saw in camp. a real downer.
  7. But the trade also has huge psychological implications- taking the wind out of their sails. McBean is a cold calculating GM. Too bad football is a highly emotional sport and the players aren't robots. Maybe McBean wanted to give himself a bigger challenge than he already had?
  8. No- they look idiotic, ridiculous and inexcusable.
  9. the Bills are playing uninspired to say the least (except for Mccoy). Last Friday's trade has ruined this team for the season.
  10. but did he agree or just go along with it?
  11. I wish this forum had a like button for the posts.
  12. They could very well win some games and wind up being better- but it will be in spite of trading Watkins, not because of it.
  13. Possibly more like a huge rationalization- that trading away the best receiver on the team, with developed chemistry with our QB, and is ready to play for the first time in a over a year- is somehow a good thing. Bills fans are nothing if not supremely talented rationalists. The reality is that our shiny new GM might not know what he is doing. This is a frightening thought that many fans do not want to consider.
  14. i still cant believe how depressed i am about this deal. all i can hear is john murphy's play by play from the PS game where he was extactic about the taylor watkins connection heating up. brandon bean you screwed up. no matter how you decorate it a turd of a deal still stinks.
  15. the bills get a few phone calls asking for a deal..... a backup qb and a third round pick should get it done.
  16. Hearing this Mantra "Win Now" coming from the Bills- despite trading away Sammy Watkins, is an absolute insult. A team that wants to "Win Now" does not trade away their best (and one of the league's best) Wide Receivers. From Vic Caruci- "*Wide receiver: Sammy Watkins. Yes, I know he's no longer on the team, but he participated in most of the camp practices before the Bills traded him to the Los Angeles Rams last Friday. And he was easily better than any receiver on the roster through most of those workouts (newcomers Anquan Boldin and Jordan Matthews either didn't practice with him much or at all, so they aren't being factored into this assessment). Having finally recovered from the foot surgery he underwent in January, Watkins ran well and used his athleticism to the fullest to gain separation and make plays. He repeatedly out-jumped defenders for difficult catches of throws that were over his head. The Bills are going to miss the guy who showed up for camp." As a Bills fan and yes a Sammy Watkins fan, this breaks my heart. It was a calculated decision- and mainly a financial one. To to the Buffalo Bills organization who insist that they truly want to "win now"- 1) What is your definition of "now"? and 2) Who are you crappin?
  17. I have heard this mentioned by Bills media reps and it is strictly pie in the sky public relations with absolutely zero substance. Makes no sense whatsoever based on their decision last Friday.
  18. I agree with you. The ONLY thing that I am holding on to about this trade is the fact that Sammy is not a skilled possession receiver. He drops 45% of his targets. I know a deep threat is important but if the team can do better at moving the chains in the Dennison offense they should be successful.
  19. The talk of signing him (again) after this season is ridiculous. Like it somehow has a chance of happening.
  20. A big part of the decision probably involves the type of receiver Watkins is and whether that is the best fit for Dennison's offense. Watkin's strength is as a dynamic, home run deep route speed receiver and not necessarily a short route possession receiver. Dennison's offense is definitely a passing / possession offense. Watkin's ~53.8% catch percentage might not have been a good fit for a passing possession offense.
