  1. OJ was a thrill ride and a half, that season was incredible to watch, but no playoffs. The first superbowl season was spectacular despite the outcome. Hasek was also amazing but they were painful to watch, almost the offense was like watching a soccer team.
  2. the problem with drafting for need is often short sighted. teams should draft for need for the season after next, not next season. why? player development, starting rookies is more often than not a losing proposition. how do you draft for the season after next? what positions will be free agents that season that will not be worth the money needed to keep him? what positions have two good seasons left? what positions are patched together with FAs? answer those questions, draft them this year and they will be ready when you need them.
  3. " dump a bunch of resources into the o-line " seems like more than one thing. as much as I like Dawson Knox, at 6ft 4 he plays much smaller than the Eagle's Goedert at 6 ft 5 and of course Travis Kelce, also 6ft 5. I know they do not grow on trees but that formula really works and has worked for a long time. An upgrade to a dominant TE is what I would do. As for who, I do not know.
  4. roster influence and management. assistant coaching staff management and supervision. player coaching and development. practice session agenda and management. game plan preparation. game plan development. game roster management. game management.
  5. the cincy game was enough of a coverage failure to justify the firing imho. there were other games too and it happened last season.
  6. Look for Fox to not even mention this during the Super Bowl. Took CBS three quarters before they mentioned about Britt Reid's drunk driving accident that put a 5-yer old girl in the hospital 3 days before the super bowl. I long for the days of Howard Cosell who had the guts to tell it like it was.
  7. thank you. since the Bills had just played cincy memories about that game came to mind and i felt myself wanting to make comparisons and observations about how they played the Bills and things they were doing differently in this game against kansas city. it was difficult to tell what was acceptable and what wasn't but definitely felt that some comparisons and references could have been of value.
  8. coaching is a big part of the team's record but it is more complicated than that. too many moving parts.
  9. a little too know-it-all at times but other than that he has some insight.
  10. if the "other team" would have a von miller type of guy, just saying.....
  11. lots of game left to play but it looks like cincy played their super bowl last week.
  12. We that wanted him for the Bills job are not happy if it pans out for the fish. Regardless of his accomplishments as head coach, the Bears defense was near the top impressive before he was hired by Denver. He is a big plus when it comes to player selection too.

  14. Fangio is fine with me. The Bears defense was excellent the year before he left for Denver and they have stunk ever since.
  15. Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
  16. it's fair to ask right now, the answer is we do not know. but i would rather keep plugging and build on the success rather than tear it down.
  17. Right on the money. Thank you. again not the point. i still trust the process and would rather a few more tries than a lather / rinse / repeat with unpredictable results and most likely a back slide. no thanks.
