  1. Some of us have convenient memories, 11-7-21 Jags 9, Bills 6. Any given Sunday. Bills on a short week.
  2. Notice that next year JA17's base salary goes from 4.1MM to 27.5MM, which more than gobbles up the $17mm expected cap increase, so anyone we pick up is likely a rest of the season rental.
  3. Prime example is Carolina, 7 years ago they were 15-1, they went from that gaudy record to 5 of the next 6 seasons with below .500 records.
  4. Bills won their 1964 title at home wearing blue over white. The 1965 title was won on the road wearing white over white.
  5. Eagles have played the 29th toughest schedule to date and have the weakest schedule in the league going forward. That being said, Dallas with a healthy Dak/Zeke at home will be a tough hurdle. Their other games against teams with a decent record are a pair with the Giants, and Derrick Henry and the Titans. Eagles are 28th in rushing defense in a yards per attempt [5.0] basis, so Barkley and Henry could be problems.
  6. Rashan Gary, Packers LB and arguably the best player on their defense is in concussion protocol after leaving the game Sunday vs. the Commanders.
  7. QB - Josh Allen RB - Josh Jacobs FB - Reggie Gilliam [better pass blocker & receiver than Ricard] WR1 - Stephon Diggs WR2 - Tyreek Hill WR3 - Devante Adams TE - Chris Kelce LT - Laramy Tunsil LG - Joel Bitonio C - Creed Humphrey RG - Michael Onwenu RT - Jack Conklin Teller would probably be the RG if he wasn't nicked up
  8. Anyone notice that the Bills have somehow put together a defense with first rounders Von Miller, Ed Oliver, Tremaine Edmunds, Kaiir Elam, Tre White [when he returns] and Greg Rousseau all starting, and Shaq Lawson in reserve. Wonder if any other team in the league has 6 first rounders starting on D. The currently injured Xavier Rhodes is also a former first rounder.
  9. I remember than Thurman Thomas had an 85% tear of his ACL at Oklahoma State. He wore a brace for his entire NFL career. He had a pretty good career in the NFL.
  10. Our D-line is playing at a high level, If Bakhtiari is out, their O-Line is mostly JAG's or less - Rodgers will not have a lot of time to get his plays off. Edmunds & Jones have been playing well, which impacts the GB run game. Hoping Eddie O is mending from his bum ankle. Be interesting to see if Tre White is active for this game even in a spot role.
  11. Sunday night weather looking like perfect football weather 50 degrees, winds off the lake 5-10 mph.
  12. Just makes me appreciate more what McBeane and Frazier have put together this season. Esp without Tre White and losing Hyde.
  13. Teller is inactive today, seems he has a recurring problem with "calf strain' [?achilles?]. Cleveland looks like they are headed for Salary Cap jail with Watson's contract.
  14. I still shudder over memories on him being caught from behind in 2014 as he was a little cocky.
  15. Not sure we can say this. We still have to play at CInci, H/A vs. the Jets & the Patsies. We do get the Packers and Vikings in the OP. We also get Miami at home the third weekend in December. There's a lot of chances to stumble. Detroit on Turkey day is a trap game on a short week. Hoping the worst of our injury woes are over. McD stresses one game at a time.
  16. These teams have never made an NBA final: Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans.
  17. My nickname since my wife and I started dating was the Bear, I live in the North Country, although grew up in WNY.
  18. Toughest matchups against GB appear to be OLB/Edge Rashaan Gary, who is their best player so far with 6 sacks, and will give Dawkins and probably a tight end or FB all they can handle. Gary has 11 sacks in his last 10 games, and is still on his first round rookie contract, so will be looking for Von type money in the near term; and their NT Kenny Clark against our guards, although Morse may help with this, may put a lot of pressure on the center of our O line.
  19. They might get a mulligan on the Miami game, given the heat-related attrition of the OL that day. Baltimore wasn't pretty, esp in the first half. Would like to see some semblance of a competent [non-QB] running game, even when we get out to a lead, if for no other reason to burn clock and force the opposing defense to pick their poison.
  20. At one point in the Miami game, the Bills’ offensive line consisted of Dawkins-Saffold-Mancz-Doyle-Quessenberry.
  21. In the KC game, if he hadn't been tripped, he was evading Chris Jones, and probably would have been able to get the pass off.
  22. Doubt he is a good fit for Kromer's pin and pull system which requires pretty athletic O-lineman. Josh's mobility requires that the O-line needs to be able to move as well. Relative Athletic Score for the Bills regular Olinemen are all in the high 8's and 9's, Williams is a 2.5.
  23. Another famous late blooming draft choice that took a few years to develop was Sandy Koufax, he could always throw the heat, but control was not his strong suit. He finally figured it out at age 26 and had five dominating seasons before his arm fell off. His personal catcher, Norm Sherry, did a lot for his development, and I think Diggs is Allen's Norm Sherry.
  24. EJ Manuel and Vince Young come to mind in this respect,
  25. Shakir is taller and heavier, just as fast as McKenzie [4.43 vs. 4.42], has a much higher high point [Height [4.5in] + vertical [2.5in] is 7 inches higher]. McDirty is quicker in tight spots, but had two tight spots [backward lateral and end zone] vs. KC where he didn't catch the ball.
