Week 6, 10/16/2022, Bills v. Chefs GAME BALLS
BearNorth replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lest we forget our Bass-o-Matic had another perfect day, 3x3 XP plus a FG. Their kicker missed a FG, normally in his range, that might have changed the game, and gave us a shorter field for the Allen to Diggs TD. -

Kumerow is listed as OUT. Taiwan has only practiced once this week. Should we be concerned re: special teams, with that much experience not playing? The way I read it, Kumerow, Phillips, T. Jones, Knox, and Benford will be inactive. Phillips and Knox are obviously the biggest losses.

Possession and two feet down doesn't matter unless he was OOB or down by contact. They were still running and the play was still in progress, and Gabe always had a hand on the ball. Once they cross the goal line, possession would have to be clear for either player to have a catch. Gabe ended the play with both hands on the ball in the endzone, and neither player was down by contact. -dtb-

Are the Chiefs guilty of looking ahead past this game? Unusual for them to miss so many 3rd down conversions.
-
Jacobs scored standing up against the middle of the Chiefs defense

Depending on the outcome, that play might bump Josh to Gabe's 98 yarder out of pass play of the week.
-
So yesterday, our "not any good" running backs had 11 carries for 80 yards with long runs of 23 and 24 yards[TD], the other 9 carries [some in garbage time] averaged 3.7 yards. Josh had 5 carries for 42 yards, including a couple of designed runs. With our passing attack, how many teams will be stacking the box, no one wants to force us to throw.

Not sure Minkah has ever had a receiver use pure hand and arm strength to rip away a ball he had his hands on. That was a Wow, as was Allen's 65-YARD throw.
-
His hands [or ball security] needed to be better on that fumble into the EZ

If Allen stays healthy, will Bills win 11 in a row?

I follow Ken Massey, his ratings are starting to be accurate by this time of the season. He gives us a 58% win chance at KC although that could move after tonight. He has the GB [79%] @ Patsies [74%] @Bungles [71%] games below 80% win chance. All others are above 80%. We have three of his top 10 in the next 4 games, @KC [3] GB [9] & Minny [6]. Fwiw -
Burrow is going to wind up like Andrew Luck if the Bungles don't fix their pass blocking.
-
Does this mean L'il Dirty may be back to being a gadget player and kick returner.

I did notice the back judge tomorrow will be Brad Freeman, his dad Steve had a long career with the Bills from 1975-1986 and was also an NFL referee.

Cornerback is valued for top players at about $5MM more than safeties, based on franchise tag numbers. We have the third highest DB payroll in the league already. Doubt we want to pay Tre #1 corner money to play safety.

Does the absence of TJ Watt mean the Bills can concentrate more on Heyward? Last year those two meant a pick your poison.
