As an original Bills fan (12 yrs old in dollar seats on Saturday night in the end zone). The best football player I ever saw in person - COOKIE! A man among boys. I really believe he could have starred both ways.

Broke Jim Brown's record of 236. Remember we had to pry the hubcaps off the car and put them in the trunk to keep them from being stolen. I was 15.

Paul McGuire was the Bills punter and also played linebacker, Lou Groza was an all-pro tackle who kicked FG's, Cookie Gilchrist was a RB, DT, and kicker in canada. George Blanda was a star QB in the early days of the AFL before he became the old reliable FG kicker. In college people forget that Jim Brown was a place kicker as well. I remember the hubbub when the Bills signed Pete Gogolak, the first soccer style kicker, and he proceeded to nail 58 yarder in a preseason game. A good deal of the hubbub was that he wasn't a "football" player, but a "soccer" player.

As an Original 50+ year bills fan, the only RB's in the history of the Franchise that can compare with CJ are the criminal in jail in Vegas, and Joe Cribbs. No one else has had the speed, instincts, or elusiveness. And by the way, I think Thermal is an amazing RB.

Based on their comments about speed and scheme, can't wait to see Pettine's D hit the field. Now we have to be able to score.

I saw the Stratton hit on Lincoln. Except for the Taylor hit on Theismann, I cannot recall a hit that changed a game so profoundly. Stratton completely changed the tenor and momentum of that game and the AFC Championship.

I have a daughter who lives in San Diego, and grew up in Buffalo. Buffalo has better schools, more affordable housing, and a more committed fan base. Coaches can keep a lot more $ in Buffalo than in San Diego. If the weather forecast in San Diego is promising, your tickets go up on stub hub and you head to the beach. If CJ got the average # of Carries (19 /gm) of the 9 backs in front of him in the rushing standings, he would have 1400 yards, 7 touchdowns, 58 first downs, and the Bills would be 7-4. Chan must go. He's not using his most effective weapon. When a back is averaging 6.7 ypc, why are you trying innacurate passes on 1-10, 2-10 or 3-5? :-(

I like the idea of Freddie as a third down, short yardage, red zone back, because it give you the option of the screen to CJ in the slot, which is nearly impossible to defend. Freddie is a better power runner up the gut, and I think he is still a better pass protector than CJ.

I will say that FJ probably is better at running over people than CJ. I was at the game Sunday, and was most impressed with CJ. I also think that with Nelson out, when FJ comes back, either he or Spiller in the slot, particularly with some of the run game wrinkles Gailey has devised are going to give DC's around the league a lot of room for thought. FJ and Spiller are both serious YAC threats from the slot.

I wuz there, in a sky box. I couldn't f'n believe that the special teams didn't stay in their lanes. The play was close, My seat was at the Bills 20, and it looked forward to me, but replays tell me that it was SO close even a replay official wouldn't have overturned, (or they would have had to have been airlifted out of the stadium). Not sure why they didn't try to kick it out of bounds or some safe play to prevent a return....
