NY State Tax for the high Income folks is .06875. NY has a "pac-man" tax that eliminates your deductions and exemptions above a certain income level. In addition, the visiting teams have to pay NYS Income Tax When they come to Buffalo, but the Bills pay other State Taxes when they travel unless they are NYS Residents for Tax Purposes. So if the Titans or Cowboys (Texas & TN have no state Income Tax) come to Buffalo, NY gets those taxes as well, and the Bills that live year-round in Buffalo, still have to pay their NYS Resident taxes even if they play in a no-income tax state (e.g. Florida, Tennessee, Texas).

Adam Terry 6-8 335, Syracuse, Swing Tackle, backup to Jonathan Ogden, Michael Oher, and Jared Gaither is sitting right now in Rochester waiting to pick up the phone. Check back and he was the person that caused Pears to be cut from JAX. He's had two years to recover from microfracture, is a VERY high character guy, leader in the locker room. Pick up the Phone Buddy - he's sitting in your back yard, and would love to play in Upstate New York.

I have a bit of experience in this area. What they are essentially saying is that the Packers bring and leave (and multiply through the spending cycle) that much per capita to the Green Bay Area. This probably includes TV Money, and shared Mdse revenues. Their denominator may be too small, since Green Bay is essentially the State of Wisconsin's NFL franchise, less a few Bear fans in the southern Wisconsin bedroom communities of Chicago. If they are only using the Green bay SMSA, then the denominator is skewing the result. Ralph has a pretty sweet deal, the taxpayers are on the hook for most of his physical plant, and he doesn't live in Buffalo, so any money he takes out doesn't stay in WNY. In addition I wouldn't be surprised if Central Ontario, all the way to the Toronto Metro area is included in the denominator, which adds millions of people to our market size, yet we don't see a lot of dollar benefit from that population. Dallas has huge merchandising and corporate box rentals, and San Diego is the only So. California NFL team, so they benefit from that. These economic impact studies are all subjective, and depend a lot on how you define the market, what multipliers you select, and what you include and don't include.

Rock Pile, I think it was new years day 1964. Playoff game vs. Pats. Had snowed the week before. Our seats were in the "bleacher " section in center field. Instead of shoveling the seats, it looked like they had used a bucket to press "seats" into the partly melted snow. Your seat was a hole in the ice, good excuse to stay on your feet. Weather and the Bills play were both terrible that day, but it was the last playoff game they lost for the next two seasons. I swear that game was a principal reason why my Dad had to have his hips replaced. I also remember prying the hubcaps off the car and leaving them at home, as the neighborhood around the Rock Pile wasn't the best. Men's lavatories at the rock pile were pretty bad as I recall.

The one name I haven't seen mentioned is Tasker. Given a choice of Reed, Lofton, Beebe, would you take Evans over Tasker, given all that Tasker could do in other aspects of the game. Kelly always said that Tasker couldn't be covered when he played for the scout team, and particularly his last two years made some huge catches as the slot or 4th wideout in the Kgun.

I still vote for Jim Brown. Unmatched combination of speed, power, skill and attitude. Just reading his background on the SU website, Three Hall of Fames, Unmatched at his position, and probably the most durable running back of all time (never missed a play in 9 years in the league). He was a decathlete, finished 5th in the 1954 national championship with a couple of guys named Bob Mathias and Rafer Johnson ahead of him.
