Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
947 replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jeep Trackhawk Carter was driving has over 700 Horsepower & costs $91K. I'll assume this was part of his NIL deal with Georgia, and all the big NIL deals include fancy cars, but why give a top prospect a 700HP vehicle? There are tons of 300HP fancy car options less likely to result in needing to show off that speed. -
McD can still clap & pat guys on the back in between calling defensive plays.

Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR

So who do we bring in for DC? I'm guessing Frazier doesn't actually come back after a year of living the retirement life. -
Is Edmunds decision the most difficult Beane has ever faced?
947 replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it seems extremely stressful to us fans because we all know Beane should let him walk, but we also know darn well that McDermott might be able to convince Beane to pay him, and we'll be screwed on Offense. It really shouldn't be a difficult decision, but given our team's history, they're likely to make it one. -
He has a $16M cap hit this year, and he'd probably cost at least a 3rd round pick, it's highly doubtful. Plus he's been overused for years dating back to high school. I doubt he'll play another full season in his career. Take a look at Henry's Senior season in HS absurd stats: in 13 games: 462 carries 4,251 yards 55 TDs He averaged more than 35 carries, 327 yards, & 4 TDs... PER GAME.

I'm thinking no way, but Woods is exactly the type of signing Beane goes for.

It's a bit easier to protect your head when you drop to the ground & turtle up when any defender actually gets within 3 feet of you...

I think we absolutely must add a FA Guard. Going into the draft needing 3 OL is a big risk, and not one I trust Beane not to reach for. If we can add a guy like Dalton Risner in FA, I like our options a whole lot better to get an OT and OG in the draft. If Morse retires, I like Bates at Center if we don't draft one. But then we'd need to add an OG to start. I don't think S Brown is locked in as a starter. I think he'll be better with a healthy offseason, but we need to add a Tackle in the first 3 rounds.

I live in the Chicago area. Many of the Bears fans I know really want Edmunds, they think he'd be an upgrade from Roquan Smith. I warned them it could end up like how Bills fans felt after taking Jauron off their hands.

Khalil Shakir / answer for WR 2 / Makes Sports Illustrated
947 replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I want to know is, did we under-utilize the slot by design because McKenzie couldn't get open consistently vs zone coverage & dropped way too many when he did? Or is the slot WR just a neglected part of Dorsey's offense? -
Smoke & mirrors. We all know darn well that our new WR Coach will be from the Panthers.

Josh Allen massive favorite in odds to win 2023 NFL MVP
947 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we can ever have a season with 2 or less bad weather games, Allen will win it. It's impossible to have the passing numbers needed with the conditions we've dealt with the past 2 seasons. -
Watching each team's first drive, I couldn't believe how clean the pocket was on every pass. I commented on one of the Eagles plays that Josh didn't have that much time on a single play the entire season. I fully agree. I'd like to see 2 OL picks in the first 3 rounds & a FA addition.

She had a baby about 6 months ago, got really big while pregnant. Could be pregnant again, but probably just didn't lose all the weight.

Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...

Will the odds change if Beane goes DL/Safety/LB in rounds 1-3 of the draft? -
I hope Von still runs his Pass Rush Summit this year. Groot & our other DEs need that work.

How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?
947 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
They built a passing offense based on getting the ball out in 1.5 seconds, so they could still excel without top dollar O-line players & spend their big money on other areas. Rarely getting called for OPI on pick plays allowed them to execute any short/quick pass they wanted with a ridiculously high success rate. It also helps that Brady took some bargain deals that were supplemented by Kraft investing in his TB12 company "under the table". -
Josh Allen not going to Pro Bowl - Tyler Huntley going in his place

From sportscasting.com: The New England Patriots selected Robert Edwards with the 18th overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Head coach Pete Carroll needed Edwards to fill a hole in the offense, as previous running back Curtis Martin had departed for the New York Jets. Edwards impressed in his rookie campaign, rushing for 1,115 yards and nine touchdowns. He could well have been the Offensive Rookie of the Year if this weren’t the same season that saw the rise of both Peyton Manning and Randy Moss. The Patriots squeaked into the postseason but lost their wild-card game to the Jacksonville Jaguars. While Edwards did not earn a place on the regular AFC Pro Bowl roster, he did earn an invitation to the “Rookie Beach Bowl” — a four-on-four flag football game featuring top rookies from the past season. Also featured in this event were future Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Charles Woodson. This would be the last Rookie Beach Bowl. At some point in the contest, Edwards jumped to defend a pass from Lions quarterback Charlie Batch. Also jumping for the ball were Woodson and San Francisco’s R.W. McQuarters. The three players collided and tumbled to the beach. Edwards landed awkwardly on his left leg and could not get up. An ambulance carried him to a nearby hospital. According to Sports Illustrated, Edwards couldn’t feel any pain while he was on the ground. Doctors discovered that Edwards had torn the ACL, MCL, and PCL in his left leg. Worse still, he had severed an artery, causing massive internal bleeding. If the sutures in his artery did not hold, the doctors would have had to amputate his leg. It seemed from that moment on that he couldn’t walk without the aid of a cane, let alone play football. Ron Courson, who treated Edwards during his rehab, called it “the worst knee injury I’ve ever seen.” -
OT…Daniel Jones about to be a very very rich man

I have a feeling he'd turn back into a pumpkin without Daboll pulling the strings. Giants are going to have to pay the going rate now. -

Can't they interview Frazier instead? -
Signing Gronk now would feel just like when we signed Frank Gore. It's 3-4 years too late & costs way more than it should for the production.

Parris Campbell fits that description to a T & is a UFA. First couple years dealt with injuries, played very well this year despite Indy having possibly the worst QB situation in the league. Can play slot or outside.

I think they went into the draft thinking this would be Edmunds' last year as a Bill. They liked him & thought after they could get him ready to play LB with a redshirt year. It sure seems like a failed plan at this point, but who knows. The problem I have with it, is why draft a guy in the 3rd round that you could've gotten in the 4th or maybe even 5th? Beane may have had a 2nd round grade on him, but he should've known most teams looked at him as a Day 3 pick. I have no problem with getting your guy, but value matters. This decision likely cost us a 3rd round OG who could've supplanted Saffold.

I bet there's a scene where somebody throws a d!ldo at him.
