With regard to the bigger picture...does it really matter? Wake me up when they bungle the draft and FA in 2019 when it really matters.

Step 1: Get the team out of our salary cap mess. Check. Step 2: Acquire your franchise QB. Check, but TBD. Drafting a QB in the top 10 is a step in the right direction. Step 3: Through the draft and FA, fortify the “trenches” and bolster the skill position players. This will happen in 2019. Seems like the rebuild is happening as scheduled. I think making the playoffs last year surprised even Beane and McD, and I think the fan base got a false sense that we would be ready to compete this year. I believe in what Beane and McDermott are doing.

Glad the storm didn’t impact you, and I agree that the media coverage of the storm was “over hyped” in terms of the potential for high winds. Especially as the storm grew closer and they know it was going to be a cat 1/tropical storm. Many people were affected profoundly, however, regardless of the media phenominalization. My Uncle, for example, is in remission for prostate cancer and is not healthy enough to work. He evacuated, but his home was destroyed when a large tree fell on top of it. He is going to collect a whopping 30K in homeowner’s insurance. Not enough to buy a new home. He doesn’t know what he is going to do.

My godfather was my Father’s best friend, and was a Hell’s Angels biker. He got murdered when I was very young. I am named after him ? My godmother is my 2nd cousin (my father’s 1st cousin). She is just the sweetest, most down-to-earth person I think I have ever met. She has always been a big part of my life, and now my children love having her in their lives. Neither of my children were baptized, so no godparents for them.

Absolutely horrible. I can’t even imagine. Allowing this guy to rot in prison, rather than die painfully strapped to a table with poison coursing through his veins, would be an horrible injustice.

It was a mixed bag from Allen in his first start, but I walked away from the game feeling more positive about him than negative. Especially since he’s playing behind a putrid offensive line and has poor WR’s. I will continue to watch his development before I pass judgement.

Didn’t he grade out rather well by PPF metrics last week? I didn’t key in on him so much that week, and obviously haven’t seen the all22, but he didn’t strike me as someone who played poorly. He eats up blockers and keeps the LB’ers clean. What’s the big deal here?
