Knox and Von are the teams only bad contracts and even though Knox is overpaid he still can be a productive player. Knox is a really good and flexible blocker and he is a very tough physical runner after the catch which helps set the tone of the offense. I also think Knox is not a bad receiver even despite his drops he’s just not a top 10 TE receiving wise. So while I think Knox is over paid he at least provides a solid level of production. I do hope that they use Knox as a fullback for 10 or so snaps a game and utilize his abilities to flex out and get more versatility out of the offense.

I would rather take on a 30/31 year old on a one-year rental whose been healthy to fill in a role than take on a younger player whose constantly hurt. I agree the Bills need a bit of a youth movement, particularly at D-line and safety but I also don't think you don't want to bring back productive vets on manageable contracts to "hold the fort" while you bring rookies up to speed.

He's a quality edge player, not a game changer but a good starter, with his 5th-year option I would hope the Bills pick it up and lock him in for 2 more seasons. Two more seasons of good production are nice to have at a critical position. I suspect the front office will approach the situation as they did with Ed Oliver, allow him to play out his 4th season, and assess his production and offer him a quality extension if he shows more progress in year four.

The Chiefs have been a combination of luckier and at times better. 2020- The Chiefs were just better, they were more battle-tested in the playoffs and a tougher team. 2021- The Chiefs were luckier got the coin flip. 2022- KC was better the Bills offensive line was just flawed among other issues. KC had the better team even if the Bengals were the team that knocked Buffalo out. 2023- KC was luckier by a large margin. KC got extremely lucky their division ***** the bed and they got to take week 18 off which got them a lot healthier for the playoffs. KC also got extremely lucky that Buffalo suffered a massive snow storm that gave them a 2 day rest advantage along with the Bills defense getting injured a lot in the playoffs. Not to mention about to be 31 years old and didn't have a great ending to his season. I still love Diggs but the Bills are for better or worse "Stuck" with him. Grab a WR in round 1 and round 3 along with a decent vet to replace Harty and give Shakir a bigger role, you can also kick the tires on Shorter. WR is going to need a lot of attention this off-season likely in the draft and in free agency.

It’s supposed to be a good WR class so if one of the top 6ish WR’s are there at 28 or a short trade up I say go there and then at pick 60 restock the defensive line with the best DT/DE there. The rest of the way just get the best talent

They will move on and take the dead cap hit unless Tre massively restructures his deal to take less money in exchange for a better shot to make the team or get “red shirted” at a lower salary than what his dead cap would be. I am not cap expert so I will have to defer to the many TBD cap scientists to see if it would actually be possible for Tre to redo his deal in that type of capacity or not?

WR is the primary need. Davis is likely gone and Diggs is older. Shakir is good but not much youth at the position. I think the top 4 picks will be WR, DL/S, WR and DL/S.

8 offensive players (9 if you include the first traded for Diggs) vs. 7 defensive players. Seems like a solid balance. I thought going into the 2021 and 2022 drafts there was an over-investment in defense. But after spending top picks on offense (Kincaid and Torrence were plug-and-play starters) in 2023 I thought they course-corrected. I think this year they have to go top pick at WR and defense in round two. There are going to be some key defensive needs like safety and defensive line so after getting Josh more fire power and a Diggs heir apparent I have no issue helping sure up the defense. Then in round 3 I go BPA at WR or Safety/D-line.

2021 his numbers were solid in the back half, the Bills had some weird games the back half of that year, the 41-15 Colts blowout, the super windy game against New England where they threw only 3 times, and the super rainy Falcons game where Josh threw a bunch of picks all come to mind as off games for the passing offense not related to Diggs. 2022 Diggs numbers took a dip but I think that was more so explained by teams realizing Gabe, Mac, Knox and company were not going to burn them in single coverage so teams just double-covered Diggs all day. Once again not a Diggs performance issue so to speak. 2023's performance is on Diggs as he just simply did not look like "himself" and I think there probably was some sort of injury explanation to it. But I am very cautious with how much Diggs has left in the tank. He will be 31 next season and WR's usually tend to naturally fall off around 32/33 so at best Diggs maybe has 1-2 "elite" years left certainly no more than 3. So the Bills have to get additional long term WR help to get an heir apparent for Diggs.

Especially with Bates being a "super sub" who can play all 5 positions and reasonably at least be a primary backup guard who can flex into a tackle spot in a pinch it wouldn't be bad to grab one of the top centers in the draft as it only builds the offensive line depth and gives the Bills a good future along the offensive line. I also wouldn't hate drafting a tackle to develop in round 5.

I think the Bills will need to go WR in rounds 1 and 3, I hope Brian Thomas Jr falls to 28 or the Bills don't need to do a massive trade-up for him. The Bills are not going to get Harrision Jr, who will go top 5 and highly unlikely they get Odunze who will go top 10 or just outside the top 10. Keon Colemen is also unlikely to be attainable as he is likely going to go in the mid to late teens. Thomas Jr, however being the 4th WR off the board (thus far although a lot can change) is a possibility that he can last until pick 23-25 where the Bills can make a decent trade-up to get him at a reasonable cost. There are other options besides Thomas Jr that are solid too but thus far he is who I would like to see.

I would say the Bills are fairly "good" at linebacker, corner, starting offensive line, QB, RB1 and TE. A lot of the other needs will get sorted out in free agency either resigning this teams free agents or adding other free agents. The Bills should go into the draft with 2-3 "urgent" needs (likely WR, safety, and possibly D-line) and then the other needs will be depth and youth which can be addressed heavily in the mid to late rounds.

Hard to say as its going to depend on what the team does in free agency. Who is retained and if they can maybe make this year's "Connor McGovern" mid-level free agency addition? I assume Gabe is gone which is going to make WR a big need especially with Diggs being older they need an heir apparent and immediate impact which makes that first-round pick ripe to be used at WR. On defense, the D-line as well as safety are likely needs. Kicker and Punter along with maybe a special teams "specialist" are also possible needs. Offensively outside of WR the team is solid a bruising RB behind Cook is a possible need if it is not addressed in free agency and offensive line depth (or a center heir apparent if Mitch hangs it up) and a possible third-string TE are smaller needs. But overall outside of finding a dynamic WR2 and depth at WR its not many "glaring" needs on offense.

It depends on various factors such as, what needs the Bills have remaining after free agency, the cost of a trade-up, and for what player are they trading up. I have no issues with packaging picks 28, 60, and 205 for a pick in the 10-12 range for a really good WR if the Bills are not having many glaring needs on the roster. However, I am not going to trade up to pick 4 to get Marvin Harrison Jr, if the cost is picks 28, 60, 99, 128, and two future firsts. As good of a prospect as Harrision Jr is giving up most of your draft picks in one draft and mortgaging a big portion of your draft future in giving up back-to-back picks is not a great idea as with injuries and the chance a player is good not great (like Sammy Watkins) giving up so much for a non-QB is more likely to backfire than work. The Julio Jones trade was a trade that while the Falcons gave up a lot to go from pick 27 (a 2nd and 4th in that year's draft plus a 1st and 4th in the following year's draft) it wasn't that bad a mortgage of their future for a piece they needed. TLDR: Going for a big trade up might work but it is going to depend on a lot of factors.

Love it, when Babich was the safeties coach from 2018-2021 the team had great safety play. OK but the Bills were insanely talented at safety with Hyde and Poyer establishing themselves in 2017. But then he goes to be the LB coach and this team turns into Linebacker U all of a sudden. In 2022, he gets the best year out of a motivated Tremaine and gets a great year out of Milano. Then he follows up a good LB year with developing Bernard into a stud and then got great play from Dodson and so many other injury replacements. Other teams recognized this and wanted to poach him and the Bills kept him in house for a position that was basically vacant.

Don't hate it, like the idea of grabbing a WR in round one, not sure on the specific prospect but the position is a good fit. Would rather address the safety position in free agency and maybe draft one around round 4 so to speak. Would rather get younger on the defensive line and take one in round 2. But not a bad first draft.

Kincaid and Torrence early returns are good. I think Groot is also a good player. Really the only true “busts” in the first two rounds are Boogie and possibly Elam who the jury is still out on. AJE even turned in a decent couple of seasons.

I think it will be Brady but they should kick the tires on some other canidates.
