  1. what do these cards mean? are they anything in reality or the real world? like do they actually mean anything to the world beyond the video game?
  2. the post office cannot even be self-sustaining. forget what it was even 20 years ago, grandpa. you have some people arguing that, yes, it should be $40 to send that letter but that defeats the purpose of the organization. ups and fed, among others do it better. let them do it. the last 3-4 years the usps has started to get back on track. but jeesh, it was rough. the mandates for funding their retires bennies was funny and they just keep hiring contract workers.
  3. i wish it would. sadly, it's Constitionally declared. it's long been too expensive to operate as it has become a bureaucrative waste.
  4. offense wins games, defenses win championships. the offense scores and gets you the W's to get to the playoffs. by the time the playoffs come the top 4-6 teams are fairly equal in ability and talent to score. it is the defense that makes the difference. i don't care what stats say. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. ** this does not endorse our defensive strategy to overspend on non-skill players, etc. this does not endorse that the defense should outweigh the offense. this merely states that the defense must be good enough to be top 10. *** it is overlooked that a good ball control offense is just as important or potent as a big time defense. the giants in superbowl 25. the saints super bowl over the colts. if you can control the clock on offense you can win the game on offense as well as any defense can. thats what the colts did against the bears, as well. they were schooled on it a little bit later by the saints.
  5. mcdermott is more aggressive than frazier was and his habits and tendencies are proof. in carolina he never had stellar DL and was effective.
  6. I don't know why people try to hate on this guy. Hurts is a likeable guy, a phenomenal athlete, a very good quarterback, and most importantly he is coachable. There's not much reason to believe that he will not have a long and prosperous career. he is like mahomes, but he is likable and not an epic douche that surrounds himself with trailer park trash
  7. Didn't you just win an award for being a good poster? It needs to be revoked. 😑 Even if he's PS he would still be better than many of the WR's on our roster. He's been working out a lot and posting it on IG. I would have loved to have him and used him in doses so he's not beat up & broken
  8. I keep thinking how many sports cars we have in the garage. How many of these players are finesse perfectionists. Hines and Cook are not muscle car, the old reliable truck, or the utility wagon. The only one who, perhaps, is beyond a finesse player on the roster is Knox.
  9. I don't know. I always thought the redskins thing was cool. Especially growing up watching westerns seeing the Indians and how tough they were. It's a badass name, IMO.
  10. Murray is Duke Johnson this year. A vet who can be practice squad break glass when fire kind of guy. Harris is insurance at the short yardage for Cook is not a 3 down back.
  11. that urgency, that mojo, that sense of goign onto the field and hammer down was obvious against the Rams. they came to take lunch money of the defending super bowl champ without acknowledging anything, anyone on that team. they dominated. they had the titans come to their house and they straight nut shot them quickly and walked over them the rest of the game. got to miami and their high energy cockiness got put in check when they realized it's not going to be a cakewalk. i look at that as a big ***** in the armor and a shot where other teams saw that they can beat the Bills. after that we pulled a victory from KC, got lucky against GB, got beat around by the Jets, had the Vikings expose how unbalanced and undercoached we were, and then a few weeks later had a miracle save us in Detroit. last year was weird, but we were not as good as our schedule. in 2023 we may not get beyond our record of 2022 but we will be a better team even if we do not play as well or win as many games.
  12. Beat me to the sentiment
  13. I want credit for not being as big of an #######. 😁
  14. I keep wanting to think this but can't see where they regressed. Any thoughts?
  15. 3 parts to this: 1- what's it take to win the East? Sweeping the east for any team isn't happening. Going 2-0 against anyone but the Pats is unlikely. 3-3 in the division is comfortable to bet 2- how many wins will it take to win the East? Id guess 12 3- easier schedule? Miami. The defense can stop the pass, the front 5 are a weakness. If the offense can keep Tua alive they can easily win the East.
  16. I can't pass on him as depth. Harty is small, Sherfield overrated, Shakir was super inconsistent last year, this guy has a chance to be our 5th WR.
  17. Big body I'd like to have as depth. 4.38 40. If he's cut offer him asap
  18. Tim Tindale was one of Canada's best football players and wore 33
  19. The desire by some people to continue to disparage the South as an archetype personified by classical misconceptions.
  20. Do research before buying mattresses. You can usually avoid the big fancy marketed labels and buy the same thing much cheaper. Casper is made by Leggett & Platt, who also makes several other mattress brands. Leggett & Platt is basically the GM of furniture. They make the internals for many, many types of seating. You can buy direct from Leggett. You can also buy the cheaper versions they make which only has differences in the fabric applied atop. Regardless, if you go for a pocketed coil mattress it is one of the best. Purple is terrible, the brand that is. I ran production for a L&P for a while.
  21. It's a lot more complex then this, sadly. The state laws were not always honored in smaller communities, etc. This is not the place nor time to get into it.
  22. Good job on losing weight.
  23. Did you see the small indentions in the old bricks? Almost like finger prints? Those were from the slave children who at 4-5-6 and up had to turn bricks as they set. Regardless, that was just 1 example of what went on in NYC. Slavery continued in the north even after the civil war began and ended. History, and what we learn of it, is weird.
  24. No one expects Carr or Jones to succeed. So they're not exactly underdogs. Rodgers earned his money by past play. Jackson did everything he could to manipulate his play and the he and the team had choices that could have averted the overpaying
