  1. I saw screen shots and had some reputable folks from this site who I talk to regularly describe the Chargers game as damn near mutiny. It was similar the COVID year in Tennessee and then we cut Spain.
  2. You heard right someone else mentioned it after It was diggs stirring the pot and flaming the DBs (Wallace) vs hughes. Davis got involved. If you notice Diggs and our WRs are oil while our DBs are water. They don't show much support there. And our WR personalities are the antithesis of how Poyer and Hyde are. My hope is Tre loosens things up for them. Mixed in with young rookies.
  3. Should have fired McD. Should have promoted Daboll
  4. I don't think the players dislike him. I think they don't fully trust him. It's easy to get right when we are winning. And it's easy for him to draw in attention and say "blame me" after so many losses but the situation is quirky. Take time everyone and remember 2017. The entire team wanted Taylor to start. This was not widely known at the time but has been leaked since. The team damn near threw the game because Peterman got the start. 5 pick Peterman. McDermott was the HC there that let that happen. Let the team and players damn near get into a fight in the locker room. Players texting friends and family before and during the game they were pissed Peterman was starting. We got our asses handed to us. We're unprepared several times that season then showed hope heading down to Jacksonville only to show up unprepared and unfocused to just stink the field up in an easy game that was close and winnable.
  5. It was great I think he can rebuild the trust in McKenzie. He has spoken well of him before and looked for him yesterday. Their past chemistry is there and if im buying stock in anyone right now it's him Also, I'm concerned with the lack of trust the team has in Hines. Trotting out Cook was fine for a few plays but Hines was brought in by Beane to be a great weapon McD said, "nah bro... Duke Johnson is gonna be me dude.". Going in to be game I was excited we had all 3 going in and like that we still have Gillam and Morris to work in... Two players thar succeeded earlier in the season we have seemingly lost. So Josh's pressure is obvious. His hero ball mentality is back from 2019 with some yips. He doesn't have anyone to calm him down and Dorsey wouldn't be that guy. Now, I've loved Dorsey since he coached Newton to his best playing years but he's not the guy who is ready to temper a young developing QB. Josh isn't Tua or Burrow coming into the league. He's Rodgers or Brady. He is still learning. I bring this up in why I think Daboll had more value than McDermott. The cards didn't fall to get that to happen, though.
  6. Beautiful post by Reed to share here as well. From another thread, obviously.
  7. This is well put together and cannot be ignored. It draws together everything we know to frame what is going on. This post should be read by all and it is why McDermott is a ***** clown until he proves otherwise. He double speaks out the side of his mouth. You combine this what other chatter that has emerged and behaviors we have seen this team make at the behest of McD. Mckensie in the doghouse Benching some randoms Letting Jerry go to Houston - a dude that was completely the culture of this team (I blame McD for this 1000%) McDermott is a great rebuild the culture dude. He's not a championship coach, however. Any chance he does will be the talent he has on the roster - the most talented roster in the NFL in many seasons I'm also concerned with what real role Frazier has with the Defense. Is Frazier running all of it? If so, why do we need McD? I was hoping we kept Dabol. I know and knew McD will choke. I'd have fired him at the year end and put Dabol as HC. Edit: even though Beas was washed up McD sucked balls leading the team there. Just as he did with Araiza. The players didn't care about Araiza but they'd seen McD leave his players out in the rain with McKenzie and Beas. I have, to this day, never seen a player speak out against Beasley. I've seen overwhelming support from McKenzie, Davis, Poyer, Dawkins, and other leaders on this team for who Beas was... And McD let the dude look like a tool. Not that McD could stop him but he should have got up there and said he wants Beasley to feel free to speak his mind and he's not there to decide the truth. Yeah, I'm too tired to write all fancy but he really screwed the pooch on Beasley.
  8. football gods were kind to us yesterday. we deserved karma for both of these mistakes.
  9. Diggs was openly vocal and there was enough chatter even here that people knew he was upset at the pay day every other WR was getting while the team kept telling him he was the fundamental part of our future. this was causing an issue in the room, not a major issue but still an issue. Araiza was a hiccup for the team focused on dialing it in for the season. it never seemed to cause an effect on anyone, though. Poyer isn't malcontent but it is a known issue on the team he wants the deal, and some frustration was there that we brought in some outside help before bringing him to the table. common knowledge, as well. Beasley was talked about enough and enough chatter came out of the locker room and team to verify this. Of all the stuff you say is wrong - which is easily backed up by whats in the media and fanbase - you openly agree with something that was kept very much behind the scenes - Daboll being upset. i found that funny because so little was said of that and the only glimpse was the Miami coach bringing it up to go to the Giants. you don't have to take my word for it but i hear enough from the team about the team from people that i don't just make things up. you can say "journalist" about Wawrow but if you've met him and had a conversation with him you would understand why he says things the way he does. if he is making an off the cuff statement at all then he is frustrated and knows his sources are strong enough he can make a vague statement. the guy doesn't post rubbish - he cannot due to AP policy. (he must have a direct source and verification of said source if not a second source...and if someone is talking to him there is some problems in the team).
  10. And he's unlike any other coach. He wakes up early and does MMA!
  11. Running a team effectively is as much motivation through team building practices as it is embracing the culture doesn't see the reward beyond a collective goal. This is true for any team from contractors and low end employees to high end movie starts and sports divas. If McD was doing the job we think he is we wouldn't have had Diggs, Poyer and others upset over money. We would not have some of the problems we have Beane is also part of this factor because he has the purse strings but this is McDermotts team.
  12. The lack of plan maybe Josh has the keys to a car he's not ready to use. I don't know of any elite QB who later said they could process the game in the first 3-5 years. Most say it's 7-10 years in to grasp. Josh needs the governor.
  13. how do you phrase or term the issues with Josh's execution of the offense? i am concerned that he is still a younger and raw qb who doesn't have the eye in the sky that Daboll was...
  14. why? packers, cowboys, rams have looked worse than us the last few weeks. and if anything, we need weapons on offense - if anything, our stock for him is rising, as would/should our offersheet.
  15. he had his contract restructured in 2021, my mistake. still he was frustrated with the team that traded for him with all the hoot and nanny then didn't make him feel all that special when they constantly blow him up as the best in the media. maybe you forgot, but it was a big deal in the 2021 offseason.
  16. poyer and diggs were unhappy with money. it took money to fix it. money is only a bandaid to cover other problems. a good coach doesn't let a player build resentment. and you can think beasley stinks, i imagine you have a more valuable opinion than his teammates who defended him at every turn.
  17. Poyer being unhappy. Diggs being unhappy. behind the scenes with Zach Moss Araiza the teams handling of Beasley - when many/most players truly respected and many agreed with him and the team/org didn't back him up was a large issue. dabol vs. McD
  18. they aren't though. there was enough smoke and talk prior to this season and last season that some people, including myself, were concerned with how McD runs this team. this team is fragile and soft. this is why i don't want OBJ, i don't trust McD.
  19. there were rumors of that prior to last season in training camp. the direction of the team and the leadership of mcdermott. there were supposedly two directions being formed from what i gathered- McD with Frazier in tow, and Dabol having the offense in his pocket with Dorsey being the man in the middle. reading tea leaves the bills players noticed McD favoring the D while the offense was steered away from him by Dabol. Time will tell who is the better leader between Dabol and McD.
  20. he's not wrong. like ever. after having many good conversations with him - he does not BS. he knows the team. he knows the players . and his takes are usually on point. he cannot discuss certain things due to two reasons: 1) he does not want to jeopardize his relationships 2) he works for the AP not the NYT or WAPO so he can't just BS a headline and write his own narrative. he has integrity with what he writes. if wawrow is writing it down than it is so.
  21. this is accurate. he's spoke of this before.
  22. i've never liked his character and his personality from the start but this is a little harsh for a take the day after a loss. since entering the league he has not been shy to get in front of a camera and make sure everyone knew who he was... now he needs to get in front of a camera and hold guys accountable.
  23. Uh. They made plenty of stops against him And shut him down most of the 2nd half. Further, he's the best WR int be game.
  24. Josh lost the game plain and simple. Twice. Considering how good that passing attack was, the defense was amazing
