I am no one to respect anything more than anyone I'm just a schlub. A lot of it is wide out in the open. TMZ sports covers a lot of amazing backstory, other things are posted on social media but often get buried because we only like the sportsball man to be good at sportsball and ignore he can't spell "cat" or is a jerk to a waitress. Instead we chose to focus on the good they do. Maybe that's for the better, but a lot of these guys are pretty wacky in the real world. Most of them are just ordinary men, though. It's scary because he is idolized as an amazing individual when he is just an extraordinary athlete. Not at all the case many of the times. People realize that these men are over celebrated for playing a sport. I'm far from a saint. Yesterday I went to the candy bowl and cherry picked the good stuff then Last night I ran a stop sign. When people talk about Beckham being ok because Miller vouched for him I begin to wonder who cares when a guy who plays sportsball well says another man is a good person. Especially when the initial person is suspect.

What's scary are the murmurs behind the scenes about the person Von is off camera and in the private life. Rumblings that he is a pretty absent and AWOL father, that he is a production and self manufactured ego machine. Etc

Against this thumping defense with 2 or 3 matchups to exploit we can keep their big bodies in and burn them on speed. Friend of mine made national news not long after 9/11 when a passenger tried to open a door mid flight in a freak out. She punched the woman in the face, broke their nose and really roughed her up. Teams haven't had to protect both edges with rosseau out and limited outside pass rush. Get them both back and it will improve. Settle is not going to look as pretty in the stat column as he will on the field. Phillips has his strengths and they're tremendous but is limited elsewise on skill to make him a fully rounded out top tier player. This week he should make a difference on the pats interior.

rosseau used in limited rotation this week is goign to help but i don't want to use him too much. our pressure needs to come from inside - jones, oliver, etc. this week i like moving lawson inside some. he's quick enough to beat their weaker guys inside to get to the qb. this disguised look brings pressure and lets it be known but not from where.

He will win games but he will never win THE game. Unless it's a terribly watered down year where the top 4 or 5 teams are terrible he will never be starting QB for a tip tier team for multiple reasons: 1) he's been figured out 2) he isn't a top 10 QB 3) he will be paid like a top 10 QB and therefore draw too much compensation to get his supporting players to be caliber needed.
