  1. Bethelham steel, those were the days. As a young Irish lass I needed a job after my French ancestors brought us to this country. I remember the hard work and how long it was working Lexington Steele. My experiences there toughened my ass up to help me get through a shift at bethehaam steel.
  2. Thanks for this! By bringing it to light is not pessimism. It's just disciplined analysis.
  3. I need to do some of those. Only if you play them the right way I'll say this. A lot of beastiality going on here
  4. That was a different breed of football back then. Look across the board. And I'd bet we lose by wider margins in 2018 than we did by 2017 because we give more balls away.
  5. Yes I am laughing at how you're upset a man realized he was wrong. Change is not change until I change. Meaning you can't change anyone. You can't lead a horse to water. Your boss is a moron and said something stupid. It doesn't make him a bad person or racist, it just makes him stupid or lacking judgement/sympathy. I fired a guy last week who told someone they talk like they had a dick in their mouth. Simple as that. All it took.
  6. Washington has talent and upside. He is trade bait or at least going to get signed after he is cut. I dislike cutting players in their first 3 years, they're so cheap
  7. I'd take 3 pt games in a season over 10+ down 10+ with 2 INT's The average fan who doesn't get football never appreciates lack of INT's
  8. He did go.to the second rate school of the state of Alabama.
  9. Fair enough. Optimism like this may be needed for this year!?
  10. Have you listened to Drake? 20 years ago rap was about good times, getting high, confidence, getting laid and now pussies like Drake make it about #feelings and being sensetive.
  11. Isn't that also a bit of a concern being that old dogs can't learn new tricks?
  12. with his strength and size combined with intellect he had all the positives to be at a much larger program. his mechanics are not great from what i've seen. i have checked out on a lot of football the last year and change so i don't know much about him but any time i've seen him throw in any clip he generally has poor footing or bad mechanics.
  13. a good coach can correct footwork in an month. a great coach cannot even fix mechanics in an off season.
  14. yes but "gary busey/peace out" hasn't posted since thursday. he's likely on one of his other names by now.
  15. Are we keeping this one sterile just for additions? It'd be nice to have known that.
  16. A friend of mine was an UDFA in 05 iirc. During the whole draft coaches and personnel called him asking what he's up to, saying they like him, want him, etc. He was projected 5th thru 7th. Coaches calling getting a feel for how busy he was talking to folks. After a while the agent rep had them unplug the home phone and the only contact was through the agent, this is normal, to keep teams from gauging the interest and backing off a cold player. Anyway, late in the draft Gruden himself called him and had a 2 minute conversation, Cowher also, to talk about how much they want him to be a part of the team and not sure they'll draft him but he will make a good addition as a backup with an option to get a chance to make an impact. The last round of the draft teams were already making steps aligning the stones to have him as an UDFA. He had 4 contracts offered to him immediately after the draft. Played 3 years, left in 4th with second team.
  17. Rob is an assistant our at mission Viejo where his dad was a long tenured head coach. Both Rob and his brother are assistant or were assistant coaches for hs
  18. Damn it. I'd have shipped Washington, as I noted l, for him. I like Switzer.
  19. What he did with the now DC of the Panthers getting Worley and Bradberry with the other kid the same year and bringing them right up to not miss Josh Norman was impressive
