Pay particular attention to section C,D and I. At virtually every major sporting event the flag is flown horizontally. Ever seen a guy in an American Flag shirt or how about a flag on a beer can? According to the code all are disrespectful. §176. Respect for flag No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor. (a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. (b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise. © The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free. (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general. (e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way. (f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling. (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. (h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything. (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown. (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart. (k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

Tyrod Taylor held to higher standard bc he's black ?
chris heff replied to Game Manager's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I find disturbing is the continued denial that racism no longer exists. How many times have you heard someone say "I'm not a racist, but....". We all know people that are racist, most are closet racists, political correctness has made racism less in your face. I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine about racism, one of his comments was that "black people should just get over it". He doesn't view himself as racist. The fact that we all know racists why is it so hard to believe that Tyrod Taylor would have the perception that part of the criterion by which he is judged is his skin color? -
Yup, Bengals also added in 1966.

McBrothers "Silent Tank" occurring?
chris heff replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll ask again, give one example of an NFL team planning and executing a tank. The two examples that have been given in other tank threads are the Colts, but they didn't plan Payton's injury, without which the tank never happens and how has it worked out? The other example is the Cowboys Herschel Walker trade. Cowboys were 0-5 when trade happened, Aikman and Irvin were already on the team and they had already used their first round pick in supplemental draft on Steve Walsh. -
What has Brandon Beane done to improve this team?
chris heff replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which apparently he'll have to use all of on WR. -
Here are things I don't understand, is Groy only the backup center? Is he incapable of playing guard? Cut Powell, then brought back Brown and cut him, are they worse than who played today? Are the two WR on the practice squad worse? If so why are they not replaced? Why the rotation from week to week with Tate? He's obviously better, this is not pre-season.

I'm confused is the rain good or bad for us?

I worked with him and knew him for years, he was quite affable, but clueless. I've always done my best to treat women with respect. In business I've had a good deal of success, I treat female colleagues the same as male colleagues. As to your reference to women cheating on a feminist male because they want a real man is laughable. I've been married for a long time to this day when my wife walks into a room conversations stop. I've always shown her the utmost respect, she is my equal. Your theory on what women want is archaic macho nonsense.

When I was in my early twenties I tended bar in NYC, I worked with a big Irish American guy named Bill, who was ten years my senior. A group of people came in after work. Bill walks over to a woman in that group and says "what will it be doll?". She says "excuse me but I'm a Federal Court Judge, I've worked hard to get here, please don't address me as doll". Without missing a beat Bill says "whatever you say hon". I just looked at her and said, "he's never going to get it".
