I like Jackson and would be fine taking him at 12. The inevitable comparison to Taylor is a bad one, one of Jackson’s strengths is throwing over the middle, Taylor would not. He is more of a larger version of Michael Vick, without the character issue. People say he’s too skinny or has spindly legs, but he is 21and could easily put on twenty pounds of muscle. His upside is higher than any other QB in this draft. He could be a nightmare to game plan against and they would have to put a spy on him every play, meaning one less defender in the secondary.

If the Bills drafted Watson last year this discussion wouldn’t be happening. You remember Watson, the guy who fell to number 12 in the draft, third QB taken. His skill set won’t transfer to the NFL.

Had dinner last night with my brother, brother-in-law, and nephew, all long time Bills fans. Everyone has concerns about both Darnold and Rosen. A number of highly touted QBs from USC and UCLA have been mediocre or busts. Last two with any success respectively were Palmer and Aikman. Southern California is a long way from Buffalo, in distance, weather, and lifestyle. Will they be happy in Buffalo? Does any of this factor into Bills staff decisions? Are their skill sets so significantly better that they override these factors? We all admitted that we had not watched a lot of their games. Help us out, make your case either for or against.
