  1. No matter how good the crust is, I still always give some to the dogs. They deserve to experience good crust too.
  2. Your big brother up north, Sonoma County, isn't much better. We lost most of our cell service in our neighborhood after the 2017 fire (Coffey Park area). I spoke to our cell provider and they said no cell work is imminently planned. 5G is my only hope and everything has stalled because every time a 5G "tower" was installed in a neighborhood...people would come out in droves to complain, resulting in it not being turned on. Santa Rosa was initially supposed to install 112 small cell towers (per 2018 report), but only 25 have been installed thus far (only 6 are operational). This is ludicrous.
  3. Watched it the other day. Very cringe worthy w/ how much they pushed the whole Buffalo scene early on. Got better as the movie went on. Not horrible.
  4. Half Breed: Cher China Girl: Bowie ...and this one, not sure how this ever past the mustard: (dang already posted) Beneath your perfume and your make-upYou're just a baby in disguiseAnd though you know that it's wrong to beAlone with meThat come on look is in your eyes
  5. Sammy Hagar -- The Red Rocker, wild, still a little crazy @ 70. Billy Beane ... I'm sure he'd have a lot to say about the way he's run a solid team on a shoestring budget Bill Walton ... may not be drinking Tony MaGee ... founder of Lagunitas, him and Bill Walton would have a lot in common Dolly Parton ... don't know why, seems like she'd be fun to drink with and tell stories.
  6. Yeah, retiring in a pandemic might start things off a little slow. You'll get the hang of it. I retired at 50, almost a year and a half ago. Now this seems like a regular day. Finding people to golf with is a little difficult as most are still working. I manage though. Can't go out to breakfast or lunch w/ friends for the moment, but we did often before all this BS. This will improve. I had no set list of things to do immediately. Why do everything off the bat? Enjoy!! You've earned it
  7. We had a trip planned for Aruba from early to mid-June. Us and two other families. We canceled a while ago. Good thing, Aruba won't be opening until mid-June. We rebooked for Hawaii at the end of Sept. Not even sure that'll happen. Apparently (as of this moment), it appears we'll have to take a rapid COVID test 72hrs before we go. Not even sure how that'll be possible unless testing drastically changes in the upcoming months. A lot of uncertainty. Don't like the fact we won't know about going until 72hrs beforehand.
  8. The only one I ever cared for...the original "The Rock, the magnificent one, Don Muraco
  9. Candlestick was awful. I always thought they were worse than Raider fans. Last game I went to the 'Stick...paid for "good" seats and had no problem. Previous games though, had a knife drawn on me...just for wearing a Bills jersey. Threatened in other ways. No thanks.
  10. I live in the North Bay, but probably skipping this game. We plan on going to Phoenix for that game (two weeks prior), then to Buffalo to visit my daughter for Thanksgiving and that weekends game vs the Chargers the week prior. Might have to sit the 49er game out. Plus, going down there isn't fun. Their parking situation is horrible, as are their fans. Most likely a hard pass.
  11. Only cut in half? Some dude hell bent killing himself jumped in front of our local commuter last summer, down the street from our house. When they opened up the crossing again, a crew of about 20 ServPro employees were walking down the track, flagging body parts. Drove by a second time, 100's of flags scattered all over the area. I'm thinking cut in half saves many people from that horrible job of clean up. BTW, the train is called SMART, not smart on his part. Bad way to go. Don't be a nuisance for others in your demise.
  12. Missed: Tom Petty. He spent a week playing in Berkeley a month before he died. Thought about going, but figured next time. That sucked. Was always a big fan. Regretted: George Strait. Went as part of a group, Super Bowl weekend in LV in 2010 (he plays that weekend every year there apparently). The guy has no showmanship whatsoever. He played in a square, sang a couple songs in corner...moseyed to another corner, sang a couple more and so on for a couple hours. Plus he has an extensive catalog of songs. You thought you know George? Oh heck no. Only die-hard fans know all his songs. Huge disappointment. Reba played before him and saved the evening. Otherwise, it was a snooze fest.
  13. Another Aruba cancellation. We were going along w/ two other families, sharing our piece of paradise w/ others. Nope, not happening. Parlayed that into Hawaii at the end of September. God forbid that gets canceled too. Still hoping to go back to Buffalo at the end of August to see my daughter. And do what? Who knows now, we were supposed to go to Toronto and see the A's play the BJ's. That sounds like a big whine...much deserved, I'm doing my part my sheltering in place...need to have something to look forward to.
  14. That's it right there. I went to college in Sacramento, about a 1/3 of a mile from Cal Expo...the huge concert venue in Sac at the time. Every year when the Dead would come to Sac, the Dead Heads would find any piece of grass w/in a mile radius of Cal Expo and camp out. One of those pieces of lawn was adjacent to my apartment on busy Howe Ave. I'd look out and see these folks all week. I didn't have to go to the concert to "smell the crowd." I smelled it whenever I opened my windows. Hot, summer Sacramento. The scent of herb, body odor, patchouli. I hated Dead week.
  15. I've heard that a couple times now, but I haven't seen it in writing anywhere. I'm working the PGA Championship, and this week it was rescheduled for early August...still in SF.
  16. I know the only thing that matters is the cold hard cash. I'm just saying Allegiant Airlines has a HORRIBLE reputation for poor quality and service. Maybe it actually fits..
  17. Just before the lockdown, we were in Vegas... stayed at the Mandalay Bay. Our room had a view of the new stadium. Yes, it was pretty nice. Real bad sponsor for naming rights though. Horrible airline...will they even survive the "purge?"
  18. Here is the obvious one ... if you have kids of a certain age, you know it well.
  19. CA: Dealerships closed (service open), DMV open but by appointment only. Apparently a virtual field office is being launched on Monday.
  20. I wish ... retired, but work Extra Help, for my old department (have a few upcoming shifts). No beards allowed. Hmm...that was because it wasn't a good look for outsiders to see (not professional). Nobody, with the exception of more inmates, is allowed into the jail at this time. Maybe it could fly.
  21. My PT called me today ... all appointments canceled until April (for now). I'm sure you'll get that call at some point. Earlier in the week they were open.
  22. I'm working/volunteering for the PGA Championship in May. Really looking forward to it. We'll see how this is going in a couple months. My fingers are crossed we're over the hump by then.
