  1. This is not a bad look for Poyer at all. It's voluntary practices and he is in the heat of negotiations. He has laid out his heart and soul to the team and I guarantee you that no one inside that locker room views him skipping the practices with any sort of contempt at all. it is part of the business, he is trying to get his last real chance at a difference making pay check for the rest of his life. If they can structure a deal that looks really high on the top line similar to Harrison with only reasonable guarantees of around $22 Millionish or so in the first two years, then the deal may be doable for Beane and the Bills. I hope he finishes his career with the us because without doubt he has been an integral part of the culture building and to the good defense the Bils have.
  2. No it's not. We already have an ALL PRO safety, we would have to trade our ALL PRO and a 1st rounder to get him, in no way shape or form is that a win win for the 2022 season.
  3. That's it? That's the post?
  4. We're definitely getting a CB with one of our premium draft picks. I would say CB is the most likely selection at this point, but I don't believe they will reach too much to get one with the 1st pick. If the Bills can get a quality/serviceable veteran CB in FA, then the likelihood of a CB in the 1st round drops. I would love to see the Bills get a stud WR with the 1st pick, but same principle should apply, to not reach to get one. There are a lot of good WR's to be had in the 2nd/4th round. If we can get a WR and CB with two of the first three picks I will be a very happy camper.
  5. I think his ability to get to the QB is underrated, look at all the big games against top competition he had and he was constantly getting after the QB. With that said, I think we are all set at DT and I wouldn’t want to use any of our premium picks on that position.
  6. Keyshawn has always been an Allen hater. His ego won't let him turn on his view of him, he's just being a hard head about it.
  7. In my view we need three backs. Duke Johnson will most likely be the "Third down" and relief back. Motor has the inside track to be the primary back And I believe that the Bills want a "Homerun" back (speed) who could end up being the primary back. The Bills don't have a speed back and I think Moss at best gives more of the same of what we already have.
  8. I think the Bills going LB with the 1st pick is a real possibility. I just cannot see Beane letting Edmunds walk without getting anything in return. I just can't see it. If that ends up being the case, then he either negotiates a contract with him or he trades Edmunds for most likely a 2nd rounder. If he trades Edmunds then that leaves a gaping hole at LB and the odds of getting a LB with the first pick goes up by a lot. In which you could get a quality WR and DB with the 2nd round picks. I think there is as good a chance of this happening as selecting a WR/CB with the first pick.
  9. This could very well be the case and if so, then they could go with BPA (among their targeted positions) and fill the CB gap afterwards. No matter how you slice it, the Bills will definitely get a FA CB, it's just a matter of whether it will be a value FA CB or a higher FA CB.
  10. At this stage the odds of him not being a hall of famer would have to be a lot lower than him making it, barring injury. His trajectory is too great for it not to happen.
  11. That's not what I said, reread it.
  12. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of getting a WR with the first pick but with the Diggs deal and the glaring hole at CB, I believe the odds of a CB with the 1st pick are rising, unless they get a quality FA CB. If that happens I could see the Bills drafting CB with either a 2nd-4th round picks and wouldn’t be surprised if they chose two. If they get a value FA CB to compete for a spot then I think they go 1st round CB. There are a lot of good WR’s that I believe will be able to contribute that could be had with 2nd/3rd round picks. I could see Beane holding off until then to get one of those guys. Alec Pearce is a guy I think could be a real steal.
  13. I would not be happy if we did this
  14. This is not a zero-sum proposition, taking away from one side of the ball definitely hurts, look at the Super Bowl, it wasn't a shootout, defense was involved. Or look at what the Bengals did to the Chiefs. I like the idea of stacking Allen with weapons but Poyer and Hyde are the quarterbacks of this defense and personally I wouldn't want to disrupt that.
  15. I think so too. Poyer was critical to the teams efforts, he's a leader and a director of the defense. I don't think we rock the boat for the this upcoming year.
  16. I think another 2 year extension can be had. A 2 year extension. At $13m with $7m guaranteed, $5m signing with good possibility cutting him after 2 more seasons.
  17. Initially it was reported as 4 year $104 Million then later on as a 4 year $96 Million extension with incentives. I'm guessing the difference between the early morning report and what we are now hearing are the incentives? Either way, relative to the Hopkins, Hill and Adams contract we got a real home town discount, specially when you consider that the contract increase doesn't really increase for a couple years out. What a great deal and I think at the end of the day, Diggs wanted to do everything he reasonably could to remain a Bill and play with Josh Allen.
  18. That would have to be the case, but as ScottLaw mentioned, I wouldn't be too thrilled with the pick, At least not of the idea of doing so. 1st rounder.
  19. Zig seemed more unequivocal on the trade up than the for whom.
  20. I was listening to Sirius XM NFL radio this weekend and Zig Fracassi one of the hosts of this particular show seemed pretty certain that the Bills were going to try to trade up to get a player. He stated that his source hasn't let him down before. When the other co host pressed him on who it could be, he implied that it could even come from a position that is not viewed as a need such as a LB. Just thought that I'd share.
  21. Same argument applies. I tend to think of their decision making often times as one in the same.
  22. Beane was absolutely right to let him walk at that time. Gilmore didn’t want to be here which is not what the team was looking for at the time, he was going to get paid elite dollars which the Bills at the time didn’t want to spend because they were not contending and they wanted a fresh start with players who would have full buy in. Now that 5 years have gone by, the culture is secure with the team, and now Gilmore may have a different view of the team, not to mention he probably will be a lot cheaper and can possibly be had on a short-term contract, the timing and situation is different and could be had.
  23. Was his personality kinda crappy? Yep Did he appear to be aloof at times? Yep Was he a top 5 Cb in the league at his peak? Yep He would be a huge upgrade and would undoubtedly improve our odds of winning it all. With that said, I don't see how the Bills will be able to match whatever the top bidder can offer and I'm not so sure he would take a discount to be on a Super Bowl contender.
  24. Josh should definitely run less in the regular season and do whatever it takes in the post season. His regular season running should consist of scrambles which typically on scrambles you take big hits. The called runs should be only in crucial game impacting situations and inside the 5 yard line. He is too much of a weapon to abandon his unique running qualities when the team needs it most.
