That's more than I thought and I hope that you are right
And you are right, sometimes or for that matter often times you can't fix all your holes in one year.
And yikes, I typed "there" rather than their.
I don't see Murphy on that list
Me thinks there is still a move or two to free up more cap space.
Plus it seems like there is still around $10m after there draft choices still left, no?
While I agree that we have holes in all the areas you mentioned, not all holes are created equal. Some are not as big of holes as others and some are more important.
I don't buy the argument that we should put equal weight towards addressing each hole. If it takes trading away a few to successfully address another more impactful one then you do it.
Clearly they don't think he is bad or for that matter they think much more highly about him than your influenced view from PFF.
I trust that McD/Beane have both watched every single snap of his multiple times and have concluded that he will fit the Bill for what they want him to do or they wouldn't have made the offer. These are detailed orientated guys and I trust that they did their due diligence. We desperately needed this sort of player and I'm confident that we will be more stout against the run than we were last year because of it.
And I'm hopeful that he will help push and collapse the pocket forcing more sacks from our edge rushers.
You guys have gone mad. Hughes may not be getting the sacks but he is still getting lots of pressures and is a terror against the run.
Our pass rush has been terrible and reading him makes it worse.
This is where I am. I won't be upset either way. And as you responded to the poster, I am all for going after an elite QB if they indeed believe they have found their franchise QB. But if they aren't in love with any of the QB's, don't reach.
