You expect Rome to be built in a day? Zay wasn't Beane's guy and Benjamin was a whiff. If the Bills aren't markedly better by next year on offense you'll have a case, right now all you have is sour grapes because they got rid of Whaley, the under performing Watkins, the legendary JAG Williams and god knows who else you are still upset about. Give it a year and lets see what happens then.

Rebuilding your offense from the inside out
Magox replied to WideNine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo should do reasonably within their power to get 2 of the best FA linemen available along with the best blocking/receiving TE for 2019. Then draft WR's, a RB and more O and D linemen. With that we're good to go. -
The Rosen Era Has Begun in Arizona

I think this is a good time to bring this up -
There have been a few of these situations where there were multiple-time-offenders of NFL drug violations that relapsed this year. Aside from Marcel D's drop off in production, the risk of him lapsing into his old habit's was what made Beane nervous about maintaining him. I wish Josh Gordon luck and it should make it a bit easier now to defend them. Patriots right now have got to be really worried about their playoff prospects.

Yes, there is plenty of proof that they concentrated on defense and getting their Franchise QB. Beane has had one draft and one off season to make moves to improve the team. McD and Whaley did the previous draft, Whaley set the board and McD was the final shot caller. McD, focused heavily on defense and by most accounts seemed to do well with his selections. This past year Beane was in charge and it appears that he hit on his Franchise QB and then primarily focused on defense. So yes, there is plenty of proof that suggests that the focus was on defense, getting their franchise QB and clearing up cap space to make future moves. Check, check check! They have been successful on 3 fronts so far (assuming Allen is the guy which it appears he is). Now they need to finish what they planned which is using those 10 draft picks and $90 Million dollars and improve the offense.
-
That's because they focused on primarily the defense aside from Allen and Zay the past 2 drafts and cleaning up the cap situation so that they could build the team they see fit. They have a good defense and very likely now have their franchise QB with 10 draft picks and $90 million dollars to build their offense. Things are looking up and this next year is the year we will see them focus on the offense and add some staples as opposed to the place holders that are there now.

Robert Foster over Thielen? Lunacy or genius?
Magox replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
New England will look to stop Allen and Foster. They will try to keep Allen in the pocket and provide more shifting coverage towards Foster. This could end being Allen's worst game since hes come back. Certainly will be challenging, I'm excited to see how he responds. -
Josh Allen’s Adjusted Completion Percentage = 72.7%

They aren't perfect but they are competent. If Allen turns out to be as good as I believe he will be and Beane focuses like a laser in surrounding Allen with a supporting cast with McD's defensive mind, I think the odds of us being a good team over the next decade are decent. -

Newhouse and Bodine were never meant to be staples of this organization, they were low cost place holders. Peterman and Zay weren't Beanes guys. KB they simply struck out on. We all thought it was a good idea at the time and we were all wrong. The defense will be good. They hit on Allen. That alone most likely assures them of being in good position going forward. I expect that they will make a few signings and I strongly suspect that Beane will make it his mission to surround Allen with a good line and weapons. I have more faith that they will get it done than you do. -

Brandon Beane deserves to be fired tomorrow

Another gem from sir-hot-takes-alot -
That last play vs the Dolphins the previous Sunday, Gronk looked like he was 45 going on 50. He looked incredibly slow, I rewatched that a few times and couldnt believe that was the same Gronk. I dont know, he does seem to be fading fast. Him and Brady are not the same players they used to be. Bill's and Jets will be battling it out over the next decade.

Not 40, 60. It was from the 40 yard line but across the field -
Not a good receiver but an elite one. Now that Beane has found our franchise QB, he now needs to make it his mission to get an elite WR and a top 8 offensive line.

You mean you didn't like that I brought out facts to the debate? Aside from my opinion that it was all Clay's fault, which one description of events that I mentioned are inaccurate? -

Its 100 % bad drop clay. To blame Allen at all for doing heroic level scrambling, running over 50 yards in the process to then throw the ball off balance against his shoulder while his momentum still going against the direction he was throwing 60 yards in the air that lands in Clay's hands to then complain that he should have thrown it 62 yards in the air is simply ignorant. -
No, his big knock was that he was a douche.
-
He will end up being a multiple appearance pro bowl QB and lead us to quite a few division titles. Bank on it We have our franchise QB
