  1. Me too. Philly and Buffalo are about even, IMO, with Seattle a step behind. The only thing about a trio is that there aren't usually enough carries to divide by three. Only two of the backs are really going to get action and by that standard Philly is the top, IMO.
  2. There's always some innocent explanation. No one is every really guilty. Just like in prison.
  3. You mean that you voluntarily pay for the obligation to continuously buy season tickets.
  4. I think that he paid for most of it actually.
  5. ""And what if Schumer woke up one morning and decided to hold hearings about the NFL’s antitrust labor exemption, a hard-to-believe nonprofit status or the FCC’s controversial blackout rules?" The NFL is a non-profit? You must be joking.
  6. My thoughts exactly. In fact, I'd peg things at 50-50 as to whether he may be cut.
  7. If you are spend that kind of money and start over don't you want something better than the Ralph? The deal was made before Ralph passed and was part of the plan to try and make a successor stay in Buffalo, at least for a short period of time. If it helps to keep the Bills in Buffalo then it will be money well spent.
  8. Was that Russ Brandon's arm?
  9. I actually think it's 50-50 between Pears and Hairston. While I'm sure the coaching staff would like to move on from Pears, it's unclear how Hairston will recover from his injuries and I wouldn't be surprised to see Pears as the swing tackle with Henderson on the practice squad and Hairston cut.
  10. I had heard this interview before. I don't disagree with anything he had to say. It would just have been nice to hear Miller's voice during that legendary season instead of Rick Azar.
  11. With all due respect to John Murphy, Van Miller IS the voice of the Bills. Sad that he missed those OJ years in the 70s. I wonder what he would've done with OJ's record season?
  12. I think it's a realistic possibility. They have a decent team around him. The best team he's been on.
  13. a) I suspect that it's Jackson that they are trying to replace. If they wanted to get rid of Spiller they would've traded him to the Eagles when they were interested. b) Anyone who thinks that Spiller is a bust should have the misfortune of seeing him in an offense like Philadelphia's. He would lead the league in rushing and people at TBD would be crying.
  14. Thomas never had surgery but he still had a ruptured ACL. He just elected not to have his knee reconstructed. The outcomes of that surgery back then were less predictable than they are now. He played his career without an ACL and with a brace. I would say that's more iffy than the situation with Kouandjio.
  15. He's going to be fine. He obviously isn't going to fit everyone's offense but if Kyle Shanahan's is anything like his father's then he's a perfect fit in Cleveland. Mobile QB with a strong arm, high accuracy and excellent competitiveness. That sounds a lot like RGIII, Cutler and Plummer. They are going to use his mobility and play action passing. They will need a running game to make it work however, so that will be key.
  16. Maybe I missed something, and if so I apologize, but WTF does Koshinski have to do with any of this?
  17. Unless you like him better than Manuel then why bother? A decent backup is available for far less than a #2 pick. Personally, the only QB I'd take a shot at would be Johnny Football and he'll be gone by then.
  18. I'd take him. Certainly seems to have more potential than Lewis or Tuel. Would depend what the price was.
  19. The Bills will NOT move up in the first round. The Bills are more than one player away and the price is way too high to move up for anyone other than a QB. The Bills will NOT draft a WR in the first 3 rounds. The Bills have plenty of young talent at WR that they want to see develop. These are obvious smoke screens.
  20. These are pretty low times, no question. Probably the worst in my memory. The Kelly thing does it for me. Mr. Wilson was 95 after all. He had a great, full life and you can't live forever. But Jim's illness, especially to hear what they're saying about it - "aggressive", "inoperable"... It's very tough to hear.
  21. I would say that following the Alex Smith career path and reaching his level would be the best case scenario for Sanchez. I think that he may have it in him but things would have to break perfectly for him over the next two or three years. More likely, he will bounce around a couple of teams and be out of the league within 3 years.
  22. The Bills won't pick him up, IMO, which is good for both sides. If Sanchez can land somewhere with a good QB friendly coach and scheme then he has a decent chance to salvage his career. I never thought the Jets under Ryan had a very creative offense.
  23. I think you mean anomalies maybe? I guess that they could be misnomers too because there aren't really bears and ravens on the team. I always say that you try to put your best players on the field regardless of position (within reason) and devise a scheme to make it work. Pettine got a lot of improvement from the same players that everyone before floundered with. We'll see what Schwartz does with them.
