  1. Manning is not going to start over somewhere else. He's 40 years old. He is going to retire.
  2. I like Tyrod Taylor. I wouldn't want to give up anything more than a 6th or 7th for him, however.
  3. My guy Manning is on the list, so I guess I'm not the only one that senses he can be separated from the Giants. I'd give up EJ, Brown and a #2 in a proposed trade in a heart beat. After that, a third for Cutler seems totally worth it. The only issue would be that with his contract they may not be able to keep the defense together. If that can't be done then just stick with EJ and draft some competition.
  4. All I can say is that SDS better have the server ready the day the Bills hire Kyle Shanahan as the new head coach.
  5. Is there any basis to this besides wishful thinking?
  6. This is my perspective as well, although he has improved quite a bit since he signed IMO. Can't really pay him what his numbers suggest he might be worth because it would probably be too much invested in the DL and his numbers are definitely inflated from playing with the other DL. Whether it works out for him if he leaves remains to be seen.
  7. I wonder if Brandon isn't also one the old guard beholden to RW and concerned that he may be on the outs.
  8. Well, who made out better? Neither team made the playoffs and it looks like Chicago is going to end up with a real QB candidate and jettison Cutler (maybe to the Bills).
  9. I'm not sure I place much stock in these "reports". It's just heresy from marginal sources.
  10. After all the slander that's been thrown back and forth between him and the Bills front office, I'm sure he would still leave. I still think the NY Jets job is his if he wants it. I'd say the odds are against it working out but you could probably say that about every single NFL coaching hire given the general success rate.
  11. Maybe he didn't have all their phone numbers.
  12. He's not worth giving up draft picks for, IMO. Bills need all the draft picks they can get to keep refilling the tank as free agents leave. Yes. I'm concerned about this too. It doesn't sound like he's placing enough emphasis on defense and he may have trouble getting good defensive coaches and personnel as a result.
  13. I don't doubt that the anemic offense and especially, the poor offensive line, played a part in his decision making. However, now that he's gone I don't see him coming back and really it's not that catastrophic a loss anyway. The Bills need to move on and try to find a QB that they can win a Super Bowl with. That's not Orton.
  14. Is he signed yet? He would be awesome.
  15. Wow. The available QB situation really is grim. Schaub? I'd probably rather go with Manuel honestly.
  16. It's on like a mofo?
  17. The other obvious question, is why would Bradford be successful here and not with the Rams? On the surface, the two teams seem very, very similar. Will it be Hackett's genius that turns things around?
  18. Would probably have to trade for him to ensure getting him. If he's cut, he's going to the highest bidder. I wonder what the Bills would have to give up?
  19. My thoughts as well. Winston is just not that sure a thing to bet the house on.
  20. No. There are only 32 of these jobs and only about 10 of them come with a high quality QB, but there's still a lot of interest in the other 22.
  21. I see no chance that Trestman's style of offense is compatible with Marrone.
  22. Can't dispute your facts, but on TBD the facts don't always lead to the same conclusion.
  23. I can't see him quitting a HC position for a 9-7 team unless the situation is totally untenable, which doesn't appear to be the case. If he does quit, I don't think it'll be the disaster that many people seem to think.
  24. Rex will easily get a DC job this season (assuming he doesn't want to wait for a HC opportunity to come up). It would be great to keep him in the AFCE. Maybe in Miami?
