  1. Not sure. They think Henderson might be really good, they are really worried about Glenn or they might be grooming Henderson as a "swing tackle". In any event, I don't know how you can decide until the hitting starts.
  2. They're going to be doing it eventually. Every team has to.
  3. To say that the Bills will not have a pro bowl DT and "not miss a beat" seems a little crazy to me. At least they have time to prepare for him not being there but the DL needs to be dominant for the Bills to win this game and losing probably their best overall player won't help in that regard. Also, that article made me sad by reminding me that the Bills cut Landon Cohen last season for no apparant reason.
  4. The OT situation is as shaky as it gets. Glenn had a poor year last season. Henderson was good for a rookie seventh round pick, but below average for a starting NFL RT. And Kouandjio didn't even dress for most of the season. Those are the only tackles on the team as far as I'm aware. Bills need it all to break right- Glenn bounces back, Henderson takes a major step forward and Kouandjio turns into a competent NFL lineman. Otherwise, "ground and pound" may very well grind to a halt.
  5. It'll sort itself out. He'll get hurt in the pre-season.
  6. Maybe he would've been if Bill Walsh had been his coach instead of Dick Jauron.
  7. Declaring someone the starter when he hasn't earned it on the field will not create stability and confidence in the offense. It wall also not call off the NYC media. Gailey did the same thing in Buffalo when he handed the job to Trent Edwards right after he got here even though Fitz had taken over as the starter late the year before. We all remember how that worked out.
  8. You just can't build facets of your game plan around a guy that is 50-50 to be knocked out with injury on any given play.
  9. Yeah. That's going to last. Fitz will be starting by week 4.
  10. I think that Cassel is the favorite to start, IMO. He's the only one that has shown that he can play at a playoff level at some point I his career.
  11. Yeah, just look at the great job he did with the Bills OL while he was here. It may seem like there's only one direction to go, but I learned long ago that the expression "it can't get any worse" is a fallacy. It can ALWAYS get worse.
  12. It's been a long time since TBD had a good Rob Johnson discussion. It was time.
  13. I don't know which is worse- Greg Roman saying that the bill are the "benefactors" when he means the "beneficiaries", or Joe Buscaglia reporting it verbatim to make him sound stupid.
  14. Me too. This is what I thought too.
  15. What if Jeff Tuel wins the job in training camp and then leads the Bills to an undefeated season and the Super Bowl? Would people still be talking about the KC game?
  16. Honestly, I think that SI is past panic mode at this point.
  17. He always looked good in the preseason in Baltimore, FWIW... And Rex likes QBs who can get out of the pocket and run. I think Cassel is the favorite and EJ and Taylor are neck and neck behind him.
  18. I don't think so. I'm sure they're saying this because the Bills added more than one QB in the off season (and because they need something to write). I just don't think that means they're panicking. I think it's good to give yourself options, just like at any other position.
  19. I agree with that. The Bills may or may not be screwed at QB, but they are certainly NOT panicking (yet).
  20. That is awesome. Pats** fans are the best.
  21. I want to wish The Deflator luck on his diet. I just don't understand what all the new sneakers have to do with it...
  22. +1. Turner is a clown. It just shows you how pathetic the "reporters" are who cover this stuff that he gets air time.
  23. Robey is the slot guy, not Graham. I think McKelvin holds on to his starting spot and Graham takes over at safety. I haven't seen enough from Duke Williams to make me think he's a starter. One concern you have to have looking at the defense is that teams will try to run it down their throats. They don't have a true NT and now no Spikes in the middle. If their safeties are A Williams and Graham then I'd expect to see a lot of teams go at them between the tackles.
  24. I'm not sure what else I need to hear, honestly. Outside of Boston, I think most people accept that they deflated the footballs to gain a competitive advantage- real or perceived. I'm ready to move on.
