  1. If Rex does a lot of Blitzing and leaves Darby 1v1, then Luck will eat him up. Fortunately, I don't think Rex will do that.
  2. I have a feeling that McCoy isn't going to play much vs Indy and Brown and Williams will get the bulk of the playing time.
  3. No. EJ is out of the picture for now. Limited reps during the week and in street clothes on game day.
  4. EJ is going to get really limited reps during the regular season as the scout team QB. I don't see how this is going to help his development in the slightest.
  5. I agree. Jackson #5. Although you could argue that Kenny Davis was just as good but got fewer chances because of Thurman.
  6. He gets hurt taking a knee. They guy is just not durable.
  7. Anonymous sources declare that Whaley "went rogue". We don't know the sources or if they are trustworthy and we don't know what "went rogue" specifically means. It sure sounds like a juicy tweet thought. Typical "reporting" in this day and age.
  8. I actually wouldn't mind if the Bills released Cassel and kept Simms but at today's PC Rex all but guaranteed that Simms would be cut.
  9. I assume they'll start with a lot of 2 deep shell, keeping DB eyes on Taylor and making him beat them with his arm. This will also help with the WRs. Or they can rush 5+ and make him run as much as possible, making him one dimensional that way at knocking him out of any rhythm- the Mike Vick strategy. Probably a combination.
  10. I still don't believe, with his vision, toughness and experience, that he doesn't offer more than Bryce Brown. But there is no question that his is 80% of what he was 3 years ago.
  11. I suspect that the Colts will be the second ones to know, after the Bills and before the fans.
  12. Unless I'm missing something, they're just going to watch the next practice and see who is taking 1st team reps, then all will report it at basically the same time.
  13. I still say you platoon EJ and Tyrod depending on situation. They do it for every other position.
  14. I think there's a really good chance of this if Simms plays well vs Detroit but I can't say I would agree. You gotta keep Cassel in case something happens to Tyrod and EJ, IMO. You don't have a chance if your QB play is poor so I would keep the best three regardless of salary.
  15. OK. Let's not get carried away.
  16. If you have additional information from other meetings with EJ that is not in your article then you should report it. If the article omits important details or context then it's bad reporting. Your tweet doesn't follow from your article. Plain and simple. Just come out and say it's your opinion or theory. Everyone has an opinion about EJ.
  17. You are correct. That exact headline was posted on your Twitter account, linked in the OP to this thread. So it is an exact quote by you despite your attempt to subtly imply otherwise in your response above. Again... Misleading the reader. The only quote by Manuel in your article regarding playing "somewhere else" is what I quoted in my original response. It in no way indicates to me that he thinks "his days in Buffalo are numbered". That angle is completely fabricated by you. It's basically a National Enquirer style headline. But they sell right?
  18. Schefter headline: "Emkampali punches possible tranny attempting oral sex."
  19. Who is the copy editor that allows "Colon takes another pounding" to go out as the headline? At the top of the page no less.
  20. Sigh. Reporters are the best.
  21. I think that this is all manufactured by Wawrow as a way to generate interest and controversy where none exists. From the article: "Asked if he's considered the possibility of playing somewhere else, Manuel gave a mixed response. "I haven't. I don't know how that works," he said. "But I also understand the business of it. I don't know. All I can do right now is continue to play well." From this we get the provocative headline: "Manuel doesn't dispute possibility his days in Buffalo might be numbered." Nice.
  22. Good move by Ryan. EJ has the most upside of the three if he can win the job so it doesn't make sense not to give him a chance to prove it with the ones. I think the QB that looks the best Saturday will be the starter. It's a dead even competition at this point, IMO.
  23. I hear you, and I know that it's just Sal's opinion but it seems absurd to me. If Manning was the Bills QB right now I'd be placing Super Bowl wagers in Vegas.
  24. He had a 92.1 QB rating for 2014, which is better than is career rating of 82.4. He didn't suddenly forget how to play.
