  1. America's team.
  2. I hope you're right, but t's a long way from having high draft picks to being a consistent winner. I think many have been too quick to connect those dots.
  3. Be careful with too much the praise for the Pegulas skills running their teams. Their W-L record during their ownership of the Sabres is the worst in the NHL, so their "deep pockets" and hiring savvy hasn't exactly helped them out.
  4. I think that's on the OL. They're really a middling group so I think the RBs are actually doing well to be where they are.
  5. What if you don't remember what teams you picked for the first 3 weeks? How can you find out?
  6. I would say they were about the same, but I agree that Miller needs to play to develop.
  7. NE is well coached and full of veterans so they make excellent in game adjustments.
  8. Taylor or Harvin would be my picks.
  9. I think the basis of the rule is that it's a free ball, just like a kickoff. If it goes out of the back of the end zone then it's a touch back. I agree that it may be harsh on the offense.
  10. Eh, you could pretty much shuffle everyone in "Stuck in the Middle" and "Question Marks" up and make a case for it.
  11. My evaluation of Eric Wood would not have been so generous. I obviously didn't review every play but I saw him beaten 1v1 a few times in pass protection and he still seemed to be struggling to me.
  12. Except that then there is no time for them to become familiar with the system or players. Could be risky.
  13. I agree but I place more of the blame on the coaching staff. They need to do a better job of designing ways to get him the ball. They can't just let the other team "take him away" any time they want by bracketing him or placing a good CB on him. If that's all it took to neutralize a great WR then players like Jerry Rice would have similar numbers to Sammy. I wonder if Gronkoswki is ever double teamed or bracketed? How has that worked out?
  14. Only thing that makes sense. No way he was the 53rd roster spot. And as has been pointed out this leaves us pretty thin at RB for a run heavy team.
  15. I agree with this. If you take away Andrew Luck, I don't think the Colts aren't even a .500 team. Their WRs are average, their OL is slightly below average. Frank Gore is an average RB at this stage of his career. Where are all the stars that the Colts fans are talking about?
  16. Yes. That's an exception to the rule. It's silly because Glenn didn't "lure" the end at all on this play before Clay hit him. Clay fired right out into his legs and then went out into his pattern so I don't see what the problem is unless they're going to make all blocking below the waist illegal.
  17. I wish someone would pay me $10.2m for not playing this year.
  18. And Rex just got here, so he hasn't gone through the past injuries to harden his perspective on things.
  19. Yeah but not with the Bills offense and not with any of the starting personnel so it's of marginal benefit for a professional QB, IMO. If this was really beneficial you'd see lots of teams playing their prize rookies on the scout team to get them more reps. EJ is way past benefiting from just playing QB. He needs practice time with the system he would play in and with the guys he would play with, ideally in a live game.
  20. As was mentioned above, that rule changed a few years ago. Now teams get 46 roster spots on game day with no "emergency QB" instead of 45.
  21. I'm not sure that I would phrase this exactly as you have but I do think that getting Brown playing time to help justify the trade was part of Whaley's thinking. He obviously believes in the guy or he wouldn't have traded for him. He wants to see him get a shot.
  22. How many teams dressed 3 QBs last season?
  23. Would be nice but I suspect otherwise. I expect to see a lot of Karlos Williams and Bryce Brown in game 1.
