You brought up America, the Beautiful and god, not me. Read your post. In god we trust is the national motto and is on our currency. Its been that way for years, sorry but god isnt under attack in America in 2011. Quick tidbit---I work in the food industry and regularly visit restaurants and schools and American legions and VFWs. I walk down the halls in the school on the way to the cafeteria and hear/see the kids saying the pledge of allegiance in the morning. Then in the afternoon I'll be in the legion or VFW and have some old guy tell me the kids aren't allowed to say it anymore in school when I heard and saw it just hours ago. I try and politely tell the guy he's wrong, but he doesnt believe me and he probably hasnt set foot in a school in 40 years. His mind is made up, facts be damned, and I walk away just shaking my head, just like I am now.

The ACLU represents both conservative and liberal civil liberty issues. Case in point, their defense of students who were disciplined for wearing anti-abortion t-shirts.

Did Reagan, Ike, FDR or Lincoln wear flap lapel pins daily?---no, but now it's as much standard politician look as helmet hair. Patriotism is real, like getting chills hearing Ray Charles sing America, or Whitney doing the national anthem, or watching the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. It's how you felt after 9-11. It shouldn't be exploited as a PR gimmick. I hate to see it become cheap and gaudy like a 3 dollar piece of chinese jewelry or some fat slob in a stars and stripes and eagles t-shirt riding a hoveround at Walmart. Going into the 2010 draft if I had told you we would come of out with a first round running back who had 440 total yards from scrimmage, 1TD from scrimmage and a 3.8 YPC, a spot DE, DT and LB, zero help for the line(wang and the kid from Iowa we cut), and 2 IR guys, well that would of been a huge let down. But it is what it is.

Hey Donte, take a look at what Troy Polamalu has done, thats an elite safety. You are about half the player he is and should be payed as such. The only way Whitner is money is if your starting fantasy football TE is going against him.

With a rookie salary cap it maybe easier, a lot easier. I dont know how any other GM doesnt look at the way the Pats wheel and deal, and say to themselves god that team knows how to work a draft, maybe I should try and do some of that.

I was thinking the same thing. Champ Bailey is expected to leave, creating a huge hole at corner for Broncos, Houston needs a corner bad. With the QBs, its going to be which teams like which QBs, but theres plenty of teams desperate for a QB like the Cards, Skins, I think the Jags have had enough of Garrard, the Vikes, Bengals maybe thinking past Palmer, do the 49ers want another year of the Smiths, the Dolphins can't like what they see in Henne. I think in this years draft there are plenty of dancing partners for a trade down.

I never said it was the "only", measure. I was just illustrating the Bills horrendous drafts. In 10 years we really haven't drafted a difference maker.

Totally agree. Wouldn't stopping the opposing teams offense occasionaly give our offense more opportunities, thus moving them up in stats? The Steelers are a perennial a playoff team because they take away your running game and make you one dimensional. Your never going to be good giving up 200 yards rushing and 34 points a game 8 times.

When the Bills draft, ANYTHING is a possibility.

I wonder if Mallett comes out how he grades out compared to Flacco, both tall QBs with great arms, but where Flacco played at Delaware, Mallett plays in the SEC.
