Both Beane and McD. I think we have already seen their ceiling with a generational QB and are going to see their floor in the coming years. How many years in are we and there is not one difference maker on the defense, not a one.

I agree with all of that. I like number 3 especially. Keep hearing in the draft about penetration, yet I see Davis Mills go sackless, and Houston's OL isnt their strength. I just rarely see the penetration, maybe some from Walker but thats about it. And they can get parted like the red sea on runs up the gut.

This off season Beane has his work cut out for him and its self induced. Everyone knows we need a receiver. We are currently over the cap. Guys not signed for next year: Just the DL Bosa, Ogunjobi, Daquan, AJE. Linebackers Milano, Shaq. Secondary Tre, Cam, Ingram, Poyer Potential Cap casualties, Knox, Samuel(god willing). OL McGovern not signed. Other guys like Moore, Guy you might want to upgrade from Rapp. Man thats a lot to replace with not much money and a draft. Hoecht and Carter will be coming back from achilles injuries. Thats going to have to be one hell of a draft next year and we're going to need those guys do more than "flash". I think we have seen peak Beane and the curve will be on the down slope.

Bosa, AJE and Rousseau combined for zero sacks. Anderson and Hunter had 4.5 sacks. Difference between flashes and production.

Amen to all of that. There isn't one all-pro on that defense. I dont think there's anybody on D who is even 2nd team AFC. Nobody near that even. The SB years had Bruce, Biscuit, etc. This D has got a bunch of meh guys. Its not in the ball park of a superbowl contending team. Everybody loves to talk offense, but this defense is sub mid. Just no studs at all on that side of the ball. No difference makers.

I dont think your off base, unless there some huge disconnect between Brady and McD. Herbstreit talked in the pregame about Brady saying we have gotten away from the run the past couple of weeks. Well they were wins. But Cook had a 100. So maybe Joe is fine.

With Josh being off, one thing I dont understand in terms of a down and distance situation, is there are several times a game, where the first down is there for the taking, but Josh is trying to do more than is necessary. Somehow the short, first down isnt the first read. Thats was MVP Josh, limited the TO's. Didnt somebody say nobody went broke taking a profit. Josh needs to get back to that. This is a total team loss. Coaching, special teams, defense, OL, QB, not good enough. Zero sacks and TOs against the likes of Davis Mills is not good.

Zero sacks on Davis Mills. The Houston OL isnt tops in the league. The gashes up the middle. Did Greg Rousseau play, I honestly dont remember hearing his name. Thats our 20 million guy. AJE same crap. At least Bosa drew a holding penalty. Their DL made a lot of plays ours not so much.

I was thinking pregame dont pass up FGs. You're on the road against a very good defense, take points. Dont Dan Campbell it. Good teams win ugly close games.

Another part of me thinks the FG attempt we turned down.....would of been a long one...and Prater missed an xtra point...but if he attempted and hit that in a dome...then we could of gone for a FG to win at the end. But I have no idea on what Praters pregame max was in warmups. Its amazing the injury bug has even affected our kicking game. This could of been an escape with an ugly win other wise. Very true and it would of been called back. You are right in that there are many examples where Josh is trying to bite off more than is required. Missing guys underneath for new set of downs. I can recall several of them tonight.

TE looked wide open for a TD. Still would of came back with the hold.
