Random talking head says something about the Bills
billsfan714 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Its pretty amazing the playoff chances are in doubt over just a handful of plays. Jets game Garrett Wilson catch and a punt return, Denver too many men on the field, one Tyler Bass field goal against the Eagles. Its not just every game matters, every play matters. -
Don't look now...Von looked somewhat Von like...

He once again didn't register a statistic. How low are we setting the bar? -
Great point, never understood the money thrown at these announcers. If its my team or SNF, MNF, or TNF im watching unless its a blowout, announcers have no impact on my decision. Just as what musician does the lead in has no impact on if im watching or not. When I read NBC pays Carrie Underwood a million a game for SNF, I was thinking, you don't have better uses for 17 million? One more point on Al Michaels, I was in high school when he called the miracle on ice, next year Im retiring, again time to give a younger person a shot.

I'm beginning to think these Air Raid Bills Guys are morons. -
I pay for Sunday Ticket to not have this crap happen, its BS.

Toney's foot was past the ball. It wasnt one of these helmets in the neutral zone things.
-
Jesus Andy and Mahomes, they threw the flag rightly before you passed it, what do you expect them to pick it up if the result of the play was good after the penalty was committed. Whiney bastards.
-
Can we finally get them to come to Buffalo in the coming years. Please tell me these home games in Arrowhead are over.
-
Thank you Kadarious Toney. You are one dumb son of gun.

Wilbon and Tony are the grumpy old guys and you really wonder how much they actually watch of all the sports they spout off on. Also when I hear Josh has the most turnover since 2018, I just want one person to say how many games he has played in that span relative to other QBs. -
Bills v. Chefs, October 16, 2022 on NFL Network Right Now
billsfan714 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forgot Josh gave McD and the defense the lead twice with under 2 minutes to go and we couldnt hold it. Followed by the 3 play calls you wouldnt make with 13 seconds and the lead. -
Do you wonder if the league is fixed?
billsfan714 replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im not a Cowherd fan, but he touched on how ridiculous this is. Yeah the league is conspiring to keep teams like Dallas out of the superbowl for the past 25 years or so. Huge difference between bad officiating and a conspiracy. Did some of you watch the end of the Giants game on this board? -
Said before the draft I wouldnt touch him with a ten foot pole. The puffed him up to 205 lbs for the combine. He's just too small both in height and frame in my humble opinion. Multiple no.1s wasted on that, gonna be ugly for a while Panther fans.

Per Benjamin Allbright, McDermott's "seat is warm"
billsfan714 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've never understood the fear of firing McDermott. Like we could have a return to the drought years. After the music city miracle, you know what coach was going to have any long-term success with an aging immobile Drew Bledsoe, Trent Edwards, JP Losman, EJ Manuel, journeyman Fitzmagic, last year Kyle Orton and Tyrod Taylor? Your answer is nobody. Did any of these guys flourish after leaving Buffalo and going to new coaching, no. And before anyone says but McD ended the drought with Tyrod and got us the playoffs, I would respond we were 9-7 under Marrone, followed by 8-8 and 7-8 before Rex was fired. We went to the playoffs with a 9-7 record with Tyrod, it wasn't some dramatic turnaround in record. It was the same record as Marrone and a one game improvement over Rex's first year. The reason for our success is we finally got a franchise QB. Now it took 35 years after we drafted Kelly in 1983 to get Josh in 2018. So you take a basically .500 team(Marrone-Rex years) and add a franchise QB you should improve. So, if your happy just going the playoffs and losing, then McD is your guy. I'm in the camp that he isn't the coach to take us to the promised land, and that will always be the goal, getting back to, and finally winning the SB. 30 plus years is a long time to wait, and I don't want to waste Josh on somebody who has shown he gets out coached in the big moments. I have a bigger fear of wasting Josh, than losing McDermott would mean a return to the drought years. Josh isn't the QBs listed above, he's light years ahead of those guys. -
Damn learned something there on the void years. Seems Beane keeps pushing money out but the bill comes due eventually. His restructure of Von last year is a classic example. When we first heard about this contract, it was its really a 3 year deal, but now he's 15 million in dead money in year 4. Im with the original poster, think Beane hasnt had his eyes on the future enough, and hasnt managed the cap well.
