good about the game. Dreading the injury report

Imo the Dallas game is the best shot. It's dallas. They could be playing for the division and the bills a wild card. Cowboys a draw, crazy stadium with legit playoff hopes and maybe winter backdrop... the game scheduled as of now is pit balt which looks like a complete dud. Couple of other games that week. Pats/jets and panthers/falcons could make the jump.

Requisite smug article out of Boston about MNF

lol, I was trying to have a conversation with one (who I consider a good sports fan) about Andre Tippett, Irving Fryar, and Stanley Morgan and he thought I was some sort of savant -

Cant say I really disagree with him if I am going to be honest. Sucks to hear... but if you ignore the cheating, it is absolutely true. The Pats' competition in the AFC: Indy hasn't been right all year, Denver and Cincinnati both struggling a bit. Then the rest are a pit of mediocrity. The Patriots have won like 1,000 straight meaningful AFC home games. How can the Pats' media and fans not 'discount' the Bills at this point? They have completely owned the Bills for a generation. Every time we and some of the media starts spouting off about how the Bills are ready and look out Pats, New England wins fairly convincingly. -
ESPN should turn up the investigative heat on the cheaters then

Idea about drastic NFL structure changes
May Day 10 replied to BuffalothruMyVeins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's ask Darryl Talley how he feels about a 50 game season. These guy's bodies are pushed to the limit with a 16 game schedule. Even a guy like Kyle Williams will feel it every day he gets out of bed the rest of his life. I could see them maybe some day going to an 18 game schedule... along with similar changes as you presented (bigger rosters, modified IR rules, additional bye). -
I though there was a game or 2 a couple years ago that they pinched a bunch of people for this

That Denver one was bad. It was also the Everett game. The rush to kick the field goal was just a mess and so quick. Just looking for a flag something had to have been wrong. That game was just ripped away -

If Brady keeps going like this into 40 I would say it is highly suspicious... especially in light of all the other crap that emanates from Foxboro. Fair or not, everything they do will forever be questioned and when things don't look right and don't support the sample size of all-time sports... it should be scrutinized. With that said, it just takes one part of one play to change everything.

Watching the Cardinals last night made me think too. They have carved a few good runs in getting QBs such as Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer.

Realistically, how does this all play out?
May Day 10 replied to Bills Fan in MD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree this is most likely... but.... they just invested a lot of bucks on the d line long term. If the team doesn't have a good second half, they could have a mutiny. What do they do then? This mgt has been in charge awhile. Do they get a pass because the coach they hired decided to walk off a cliff instead of coach here another year (possibly due to disfunction in the front office)? -
When will Russ Brandon be held accountable?
May Day 10 replied to Jeff Wright's Mullet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
there is something disjointed high up there in the Bills FO You have the mess last year between Whaley/Marrone, etc... along with various 'leaks' Then you have Marrone willfully walking away from an NFL coaching gig (2nd time that has happened here in 10 years) You see Polian who was set to take over walk away because someone in the organization was 'bad mouthing' him. Then this year with leaks of Whaley 'going rogue', Manuel playing to compete for the permanent starting spot, etc. Where is this stuff coming from and who is feeding it to the likes of Rapaport? -

I was hoping that when Pegula took over we would see a full cleanse of the front office for the most part. I thought bringing in a well experienced football exec ("czar" as many made reference to) was much needed. Apparently Polian was slated to take the job and someone was "bad mouthing" him. However you feel on Polian taking over, that should not sit right. So all the bluster happened. I loved the Ryan hire, loved the FA acquisitions and the hype.... but it seems to have staled out and it looks like we have taken a few steps back. The Bills were in a spot where they would give teams like the Bengals and Pats trouble at home... and win games like the one vs the Giants. They werent competitive in any of those games despite a few late rushes. Defense is awful now if you take into account money invested and quality of player in the defense. Its wrecked. This situation really reminds me of the 2011-12 Sabres. The Sabres needed change, Pegula took over, the team went on a run at the end of the year and qualified for the playoffs. A lot of money poured in, hype, etc without any of the real needed changes and the team fell flat on their face with no solution until the gradual cleansing of the front office. Now Brandon... I dont believe he is going anywhere. He has been installed as president of both the Sabres and the Bills.... recently. This organization still does not have a rudder. All the leaks last season undermining Marrone, Whaley, etc... then this year you have someone leaking out that Manuel is playing to compete for the permanent starting spot, Whaley is "rogue", etc. The whole Cassel thing and Freddie thing kind of blowing up in their faces. Things like forgetting batteries for the in-game communications system. I want someone at the top who can build a winning football program. -
Reflecting on the Bills last 3 first round picks
May Day 10 replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's where my mind keeps going. I bought in and believed things were destined for greatness but we are still stuck in the same rut with the same management... only with more resources. Very similar to the sabres' purchase. -
So bills-ey. No surprise they were specifically named in that espn article as an easy target of the pats because they are unsophisticated.
