  1. I like the narrative of they finally arent cheating so the Bills can finally beat up on their sorry roster
  2. Overall I think people are pretty sick of the Patriots. They are like the Atlanta Braves in baseball circa like 1991-2010.
  3. If I were the NFL? I would suspend Brady for a half a season. Possibly more. Those lockerroom attendants and their immediate supervisors would be banned from ever working in the league again. Take a 1st rounder + away and fine the organization $1 Million in light of repeat offender. I would allow them to get away with only this, if the league is permitted to install independent auditors who will have full access to team activities to ensure they aren't cheating.
  4. I dont know. a few things make me slow to dismiss this The NFL likes to handle things in-house. New England took things out of house with their deniability tour and Kraft went as far to demand an apology from the NFL Spygate. You have to think the NFL gave the Pats an off the record warning along with sweeping that under the rug. Repeat offenders.
  5. who knows how much crap they are pulling. This, along with the spygate stuff brings the whole thing in question, no? The validity of their wins will always be questioned. Baltimore was a game of inches. Probably should have lost if it was on the up and up
  6. again, it circles back to what the heck else is going on there. A league with mechanisms for parity has a team like this. 41 straight AFC home wins or something like that. Seem to "guess" correctly at a 90% clip with a few simple offensive plays... A QB who looked like a contest winner at the combine.
  7. think about Kraft's demands that the NFL apologize to them.... as well as Brady's goofy embarrassing PC. NFL cant be too pleased
  8. Statement from Robert Kraft: “When I addressed the media at the Super Bowl on January 26 – over 14 weeks ago – I stated that I unconditionally believed that the New England Patriots had done nothing inappropriate in this process or in violation of the NFL rules and that I was disappointed in the way the league handled the initial investigation. That sentiment has not changed. “I was convinced that Ted Wells’ investigation would find the same factual evidence supported by both scientific formula and independent research as we did and would ultimately exonerate the Patriots. Based on the explanations I have heard and the studies that have been done, I don’t know how the science of atmospheric conditions can be refuted or how conclusions to the contrary can be drawn without some definitive evidence. “What is not highlighted in the text of the report is that three of the Colts’ four footballs measured by at least one official were under the required psi level. As far as we are aware, there is no comparable data available from any other game because, in the history of the NFL, psi levels of footballs have never been measured at halftime, in any climate. If they had been, based on what we now know, it is safe to assume that every cold-weather game was played with under inflated footballs. As compelling a case as the Wells Report may try to make, I am going to rely on the factual evidence of numerous scientists and engineers rather than inferences from circumstantial evidence. “Throughout the process of this nearly four-month investigation, we have cooperated and patiently awaited its outcome. To say we are disappointed in its findings, which do not include any incontrovertible or hard evidence of deliberate deflation of footballs at the AFC Championship game, would be a gross understatement. In addition, given our level of cooperation throughout the process, I was offended by the comments made in the Wells Report in reference to not making an individual available for a follow-up interview. What the report fails to mention is that he had already been interviewed four times and we felt the fifth request for access was excessive for a part-time game day employee who has a full-time job with another employer. “While I respect the independent process of the investigation, the time, effort and resources expended to reach this conclusion are incomprehensible to me. Knowing that there is no real recourse available, fighting the league and extending this debate would prove to be futile. We understand and greatly respect the responsibility of being one of 32 in this league and, on that basis, we will accept the findings of the report and take the appropriate actions based on those findings as well as any discipline levied by the league.”
  9. my caring about deflategate just went from a 0 to 96
  10. come on. This has to be a joke, right? lol
  11. omg this is so much better than I could have imagined! that whole operation reeks to high hell invite McNally to TSW
  12. my rule is do not buy jerseys of current players. 10-year rule in getting a jersey after a player retires.
  13. I have a bunch locked into a 401k, roth, a few individual stox to hold... and a house. Keep adding as I can. Really committed to it when I was about 27. Im 36 now and feel like Im on the right track, barring global catastrophe. My goal is to retire at 59 1/2.
  14. This is why I suggest getting them now. The line of perceived perpetual will not easily be crossed the other way. Once we are past it, and the Bills have 1 or 2 decent competitive seasons and the resell market far exceeds face value.... people will keep them even during a few bad years. Nobody wants to lose their license to be in the building.
  15. If anyone is on the fence, get them now. Really. It'll be the same situation as the Sabres. I know people who were indecisive back in 2007, didnt pull the trigger, and they have been on that waiting list for years.
  16. Imo it's low rent. No matter who it is it should be an honor to meet the president. It's a whiny move and it disrespects the country. I'm sure Obama would have been happy to spend a few minutes chatting with brady. Brady could have told Obama face to face if something is bothering him... but I'm sure it's basically "durr durr durr"
  17. well I did admit it was pretty much baseless.
  18. she is pretty much on the line now, if not past it.
  19. My assessment is certainly not fair and based on a very limited knowledge of these two. I admit I do have a pro-Canadian bias and pro-CHL bias. Im sure Eichel has plenty figured out and will be fine.
  20. I dont know, but Im sure its a legit reason and I wouldnt look twice at it, really. Agreed a bit on the character thing and was a huge force in me preferring McDavid as much as I did. Eichel just seems like your prototypical American player/college kid. A lot of times, these players are loose cannons, entitled, and sometimes run into problems. From my view, the psyche of a US player (not always the case) is less desirable than the Canadians. It doesnt necessarily mean disaster/burn, etc. You have Kessel, Kane, had Tkachuk, Chelios, Roenick, Hull etc... those are the greats, really but were prone to immaturity on and off the ice and its one more thing to overcome. I saw the same kind of spoiled entitlement in Miller... its tough to quantify, but its there. The one A-Hole who complained about Buffalo at the WJC was an American kid... I also heard Eichel got himself into a bit of headache over social media stuff. That video of Eichel chugging the beer. All I can think of is "I wonder if at this moment, McDavid is working on his faceoffs or his shot?". It just seems like McDavid is so... I dont know, "wholesome" as opposed to Eichel. He seems dedicated only to being the best. Maybe Eichel is too... I dont know. I dont intend to take shots at Eichel. Im excited we secured him for sure. Really pumped. Just being open with my thoughts.
  21. yeah. For sure. MacTavish said again yesterday that there was no chance (which of course is smart to say either way). But yeah, fans would reject a trade pretty harshly. As it is, they despise Katz and management vehemently. They trade away the next Canadian great hope... oh boy. I think people would actually attack the team offices. I just dont see nearly enough motivation on their part to trade McDavid away to risk the backlash, and the possibility of being a future Jeopardy question. Then there is the sour feelings the McDavids (likely) have towards Katz (I dont think it has anything/much to do with Edmonton). That would be the behind scenes thing that can drive it. McDavid seems like a righteous kid. However, I would think Katz would be more than willing to bury the hatchet with Bassin/the Otters and make it right as he has a lot more to gain with a happy Connor McDavid. The only factor remaining is how much do they dislike/distrust Katz already for trying to obliterate a great hockey man for greed? Especially when they were exposed to the Pegulas who appear to be very friendly, salt of the Earth, wanting to do right by people (at least in their Sports enterprises lol)... Overall, I would put a Sabres' trade for McDavid at a <2% chance. I only have it that "high" just because Murray/Pegulas are obviously over-the-moon for the kid and the "call" has been/will be made.
  22. Yeah. There is no weed there. The instant any sign of smoke of any kind and security swarms. haven't witnessed a possibility of stabbing In the past 10 years, just a few small fights in my section. It's definitely a rougher crowd, and being next to the a-hole lottery has greater odds... but I don't have too much urge to move
  23. I'm in the rockpile. Best crowd there imo. Lots of standing. Likelihood of being near a drunk monster higher. View is ok I think. Better than high in the upper deck. Opener or the pats game will be sick.
  24. She annoys me. Like she is always trying too hard
