  1. yeah, just google "Mr Show 2015". Its on. I have perma-smile. I google Mr Show every few months (for years) to get a snippet of anything possible for the future (they also had a really awesome movie script nixed years ago). I knew they were planning a 2015 reunion, but I expected it to be just a forum/little live show like they did a couple years ago. Was definitely going to go no matter what. Never expected this.
  2. http://badassdigest.com/2015/01/07/david-cross-confirms-mr-show-will-film-in-march/ OMG OMG OMG Basically Cross had a kickstarter page for a movie he wants to do and some of the awards refer directly to new Mr Show of some sort. There was also a recent photo of a good chunk of cast all together http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/02/bob-odenkirk-explains-mr-show-reunion-is-about-mak.html
  3. Not a big schilling fan but yeah. Good for him. People are the worst. He should have sent them kingdoms of amalur
  4. I don't understand the thought that Nolan suddenly wants to win to stick it to the Sabres angle. The guy has wanted to win to prove himself since he got the job back last year (hasn't done a good job of winning, not much fault of his). Finding buttons to push throughout the year, he has certainly played the "tanking card" to the players a few times... Im sure. There isnt much Nolan can say or do to get these guys to win. The only reasons for the recent "hot" streak are gone now. Neuverth, Stewart, Mitchell all trying to press and get out of here. Those guys were awesome. Flynn has been good too. Meszeros too but he is kind of a nonfactor. Girgensons is still out. Ennis is coming back which is disappointing. Murray has done all he can at this point. Let's see if they finish 30th. Magic number is 36.
  5. Long losing streak. I caught some of the 2nd period yesterday. It was 3 0 boston and shots and the play were fairly even... shots were 20 to 20 at the time. Arizona is done with the road swing... hopefully they could get a hot goalie
  6. Those were lucky goals/gaffes by luongo. The sabres were horrifically outclassed as they have been all season. Playing a few tired teams and neuverth holding a stretch of like a .960 save percentage as well a freakish shooting percentage (contributed to some goalolies) was what led to that "streak". The sabres are 2 hot goalie streaks away from being completely buried in 30th. Watched some of Arizona and a good amount of edmonton. Those teams aren't even in the same league.
  7. Out shot 44 to 14 and it was still scary
  8. 13 shots. 3 goals. Awful luck
  9. Blocked shots is a misleading stat. The Sabres have had a ton of them this season... because they let up about 500 shot attempts per game and "only" surrender about 30-45. That is why this Corsi Number thing has been getting so much airplay in the past few years. Hits would be more of an indicator, but hits is kind of an subjective statistic that is in the eye of the beholder and is counted differently in each building. The Sabres have only outshot their opponent one time in the past 29 games. Shots are also not a be-all-end-all. But that kind of trend is staggering. Most/all analytics point against the Sabres. They are off the charts. They have had some fortune the past few weeks. It may continue, but all indicators point to this "streak" not being sustainable.
  10. Vancouver was wasted too. One time the puck went to an empty wing and it seemed like it took the players on both teams 10 seconds to get over there. It looked like a Performax game
  11. Vancouver was dog-tired. The Sabres hit a fortunate stretch of schedule the past week or so. I think the deadline losses and this 5 game road trip followed by NYR, WAS, BOS, and NASH will bring them down to Earth.
  12. looks cool, but all the pictures display people doing everything but watching the football game.
  13. This is a really interesting fan experience. I have looked away all year (didnt watch much, but checked score often) because its no fun "kinda" rooting for them to lose. But now that there is competition, and we are in the last quarter, I look forward to watching the games, and follow other teams very closely. Then you see McDavid tearing it up, and the Eichel hoopla. Its exciting and stakes couldnt be bigger. Personally, I think they should say hell to the "code". The Patriots live in the dark corners of the rule book and it doesnt bother them when they are acting like asses in Duck Boats. Murray should demand that we need to "see what we have" in Lindback to assess if he has a future here. Trade Neuverth ASAP. Call up the backup from Rochester and give him games to "see what he can do". Make tanky moves, but always use a "justification" that makes hockey sense you can always go to when accused.
  14. I think its really dumb how "Dawg Pound" is incorporated into the logo. My only real complaint but to me its very hokey
  15. I want Nike out of the NFL design business. They have really put a hurting on NCAA Football. Ruined so many classic looks. Cant tell who is playing who anymore. Went to an Eastern Michigan game and they were wearing like gold/chrome helmets. Next step will be see-through helmets. Everyone has like 10 uniforms and most of them are nowhere near as awesome as the original look. One thing the NFL has done right... is keep the uniforms relatively untouched, classic, and the same. Especially compared to other sports, save maybe MLB.
  16. thats some pretty sick numbers in the AHL though. Its not time to panic yet. Things still look good. A tired Nashville team on the road outshot the Sabres 37-13. Neuverth cant possibly maintain a .970 save percentage for any extended period of time. Still have a 5 "point lead" and we are heading into the stretch. I will admit im a bit disappointed though. This weekend could have really put the Sabres down and out for the most part, and I was starting to imagine an earlier clinching date... which is significant because it will be fun to root for the team again
  17. Yeah, I do know that Katz loaned Bassen a bunch of money and basically tried to trap him into giving him the Otters so he can move them to Hamilton, own the rights to Copps Coliseum, and use that to screw over the taxpayers of Edmonton/Alberta. As far as I know, Bassen isnt willingly selling the Otters though, I could be wrong. I remember hearing rumblings like 2-3 years ago they may relocate to Hamilton (where they were in the 70s and 80s)... but knowing what I know now, that was probably the Katz thing. anyways, Let me put some numbers out there. The Sabres, if holding true to the sample size of the 1st 60 games will win 7.15 games. For sake of pessimism, we will make the .15 a full overtime loss. So that would put the Sabres at 7-14-1 for the last 22 games or 54 points Only 4 other teams are currently south of 54 points. Toronto would have to go 0-22-0 for the Sabres to pass them (clinched tiebreaker in this case) Carolina would have to go 1-21-2 (assuming Sabres wouldnt meet tiebreaker: all Sabres wins would need to be ROW, none of Carolina's, and losing 2x to Carolina down the stretch) Arizona would have to go 3-20-0 down the stretch (also assuming a similar unlikely tiebreaker scenario overpassed by Buffalo) Edmonton would have to go 4-16-1 (assuming tiebreakers held, 5-16-0 if Edmonton gets tiebreaker)
  18. Was he trying to buy erie?
  19. Why do they have to "reboot" everything? It's stupid and makes me not watch movies. Why not a decent run of sequels to indy with this Pratt character? Open the movie in more modern times with an older Harrison Ford who dies or disappears for later use. Have a relative or someone plausible carry the torch In new adventures A reboot already puts them in front of a mountain
  20. I think the white helmet was a huge improvement. I am very much onboard with the retro standing buffalo uniforms being adopted as primary. They would be classy
  21. itll be tough for Arizona and Carolina to drop that far. Still 3 points ahead of Edmonton and games in hand I believe. Its possible. Also remember the Sabres will have some lost players at the deadline. Sabres going .500 over the last 24 games is also a huge reach. The next bunch of games are: NYR (off back to back travel) Nashville (best in the NHL) @ Columbus Vancouver then a 5 game road swing @ Florida (fighting for playoffs and a good team) @ Tampa @ Ottawa @ Washington @Toronto
  22. Eichel is good. plays a little bigger more power-forwardy and has a better shot (as of now) than McDavid. McDavid is a complete player. Vision, passing, crazy speed/acceleration. from Eliteproprospects: From their last game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfZg3UNdVa4 here is a game vs Plymouth Its crazy. You just see how fast McDavid goes from 0 to top speed... with the puck. The whole opposition goes onto their heels every time he gets the puck.
  23. I'm not sure if reinhart will be ready to break out next year.... he needs to get some weight on his frame. I guess it depends on who his line mates will be too
  24. He has pretty much said on record that if the Sabres are 1st, McDavid will be a Sabre. McDavid is pretty much a lock at #1. He has emerged in front of Eichel a bit... But Eichel is still regarded a pretty good step up from the rest of the (very good #3-#7 range) and typically would be 1st overall without McDavid. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=183442 http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=191959 Basically, with Eichel we are dealing with a Tavares/Stamkos type top tier player. McDavid has the markers to become in the conversation with Orr/Howe/Gretzky
