There is no GM... Brendan Shanahan who doesnt seem to have any experience, education, or clue has been running the show as a GM. its tough to determine looking like that. I think it would be better if he stratified players into 3 groups, like Locks, bubble, need to show something.

This is dead on. Nobody has been able to tame the situation there in almost 50 years... especially since the cap is in place. Babcock is a great coach and knows how to inspire and has seen many situations... but this will be like nothing he has done.

I think the Leafs needed a major shakeup by allowing Babcock to come in and get the contract and power to be the most powerful guy there.... although I think Shanahan is an uneducated fool. If they try to fast lane the rebuild too, this will just be another disaster. The Sabres did/do not need the shakeup. They have direction. They need a good coach. Not a guy with an un-fireable long term contract and Co-GM powers. We have a great rebuild going on. I dont think its necessary to put all the eggs into one basket like that.

I think the person who has looked the worst and keeps degrading himself is Robert Kraft. With Spygate and all that, you kind of just got the feeling he wasnt happy with that, wanted to be fair.... seems like a nice guy. Then even at the beginning of this, coming to the defense of his team, I can see that and maybe he really did/want to believe. But based on his actions in light of what has been found out... It reveals the guy is a shriveled little cheating fat toad

well the good thing is it seems the gloves are off. Before it was a helpless position in that it felt like the NFL had the Patriots' back.

I remember the whole narrative on Brady pre-spygate was how much "film" he watched. They dropped that phrase for the most part, but before thats all you would hear. To me, I have always suspected something fishy with Brady. The guy has like no highlight reel. The Patriots always run a simple number of plays... but nearly always guess correctly. I recall the Bills/Pats game in Buffalo in 2012? Buffalo seemed to have their number, but the Patriots came out at halftime, running a rotation of 3 plays, guessing correctly every single time and scoring like 6 straight touchdowns. It didnt look right to me. This team always seems to do that. They aren't that lucky. They aren't the only team "looking at film". Miscellaneous running backs, miscellaneous WRs. The guys always seem to stink elsewhere. They have recently seemed to suffer all sorts of major injuries... But Brady is "so good" he can elevate the franchise be a top 2 or 3 team in the league for 15 straight years?
