  1. Lets keep calm. Julio is not even available. There is speculation he could be made available, but as of right now, he is not. Would I be interested in a trade for him, sure, who wouldn't like having an Elite WR. Do I think it will happen, absolutely not. Here is why. Brown killed his trade value and the Steelers leverage, so the price to acquire was going to be at a discount if you are willing to take on the contract. Julio will have no such discount. Its going to take premium trade assets to get him, and I don't see Beane both trading away high draft picks and then taking on that contract for a 30 year old WR who has had been banged up a lot.
  2. I mean some people keep talking about John Brown still. History shows this AB stuff and all its mythological lore and nonsense will not be going away anytime soon. Especially those who want to be negative about Beane will keep finding a way to use this like they still use John Brown. Welcome to TSW, where misery has no end and loves company.
  3. In most cases, yes of course. However, this was a different circumstance. A report broke he WAS being traded here, so our GM had to address it as GM's don't normally address rumors anyways. But this was not a typical rumor, it was running on NFL.com, NFL Network, ESPN etc that it was happening. And they said they are moving on, but that doesn't mean the second party has abandoned hope. If the issue was Browns contract, and suddenly Brown is faced with no trade or relaxing on his contract demands, the Steelers will call everyone back and let them know. And if Bills had best offer, they certainly will call the Bills. So, if they do that and its in the ball park of what Beane was comfortable with, then I am sure Beane will listen. All that being said, I also don't think he will be a Bill just given I haven't heard anything suggesting we really still are involved other than a couple posts on TSW where someone said they heard it on the radio 12 hours ago. But, I can see how its still possible.
  4. Making three trade ups in the first round without giving up any future picks will always be pretty genius.
  5. Where exactly did you hear this report? Nothing even on twitter about it and you posted this 12 hours ago. If there was a report on it, seems more would be talking about it given the drama on Thursday.
  6. Huh? They have done quite well drafting. That makes no sense.
  7. I picked other: Trading up THREE times inside the first round of ONE draft and NOT giving up any future picks while landing the QB and LB for our future.
  8. I don't know, I mean you very well could be right, but also the fact they went after Brown tells me they want to aggressively address it. And if you dont land a proven stud via trade like Brown, they may draft 2 of them and Isabella in the 3rd would be a great value, or maybe Marquise Brown just might slip there. But I expect them to draft one earlier than that unless they make some big trade for AJ, OBJ, Julio, or surprise and still land Brown. I really dont think the trade angle is in play anymore in any case, but its possible. So if they dont land a stud, they may go with multiple younger prospects to restock the talent in that room. Truthfully, I dont think they will go WR at #9 and will go OL or Hockenson. But with the recent try at Brown, I went ahead and went a little more WR heavy in this mock.
  9. Free Agent Signings: OL - Paradis (or Morse), Daryl Williams, and Safford for the OL. WR - Humphries TE - Jesse James DE/DL - Sign one of the guys they feel best fits their system Trade: RB - Duke Johnson (our 5th round pick) Draft: #9 - D.K. Metcalf (or N'Keal Harry) #40 - Jeffrey Simmons (top 5 talent, falls due to ACL injury) - We can afford to take him as we have a strong D and can be patient on his recovery. #74 - Andy Isabella #112 - Jamie Oliver #131 - Bryce Love #147 - Traded for Duke Johnson #158 - BPA here on out Starting Offensive Unit: QB - Allen RBs - McCoy, Duke Williams, Love OT D. Williams OT Dawkins C - Paradis or Morse G - Saffold G - Long WRs - Metcalf, Foster, Humphries, Isabella, Duke, Zay, McKenzie (I think Zay would get traded for a 4th/5th round pick if we got both Humphries and Isabella) TE - Jesse James and Jamie Oliver
  10. I saw twitter rumors the 3 teams are believed to be Oakland, Redskins, and Saints. Doesn’t mean it to be true, but those seem to be the teams most mentioned. I’ve seen some claiming Saints are the ones about to trade for him, but most the assumption is Oakland based on the black and gray comment in his IGTV video.
  11. Duke is one of the most under used and under rated players in the NFL for real. Been mind blowing how stupid Cleveland was with his career. Now they have 2 full time studs to carry the rock, so he is expendable. This guy will be a steal for someone. You guys remember Priest Holmes in Baltimore BEFORE he went to Cheifs? Mediocre RB who flourished in a better situation. I think Duke can have that type of transition. Not saying he will be as good as Priest was for those Chiefs, but saying I think you will see a major jump in his production too on a team that makes better use of his skill sets. I am ALL FOR trading for him. Obviously, it needs to make sense. I wouldnt be surprised if we could get him for one of our extra 5th round picks or maybe our 6th. RB's just dont hold high trade value.
  12. If this threads end up being more than 1 page then people have too much time on their hands and should go outside and play more.
  13. Except thats such an over exaggerated thing to say. What people dont understand is that there are already cameras around them all camp and preseason. HBO crew doesnt change that a lot. The biggest difference is the additional depth with interviews and the bigger audience that sees it. Many coaches have said they felt it got the best out of the players because they didnt want to look bad or mess up on camera. I never understood why fans over exaggerate this point. These guys are around cameras 24/7 during every football season.
  14. Those are just fan comments, and the only reason anyone thinks this happened is because of one twitter comment still. No disrespect bud, but I don’t see how some colored circles are now being made to be confirmation of an affair with his wife because some fans replying to it like it is.
  15. It’s possible, but still remain skeptical. What was this old tweet? I missed it
  16. If you got info then you got info. But I follow him on IG and Twitter and I haven’t seen a single thing remotely close to passive aggressive. He’s on vacation and just putting up travel stuff. So not sure what you’re referencing. As far as evidence goes, there still isn’t a single shred of public evidence to support this story. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, and doesn’t mean you don’t have your own sources. Just saying there is no public evidence of this yet, just a random tweet reply from no one involved. And I do believe you have your source, just stating my original post was about public evidence being non existent.
  17. I can’t stress this enough: THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO THIS BEING REAL. Literally none. What really happened is that a random twitter account made a comment on a tweet saying that AB slept with her. That’s it. Every single news outlet literally quoted this one random tweet reply from a no name twitter account. Never once has AB, Poyer, or Bush ever mentioned one word of this nor has anyone actually investigated it to provide any authenticity to the story. All that’s ever happened is people quoting this one meaningless twitter reply from someone with no connection to anyone involved. Its MUCH more likely to be a false story than real. The fact Beane was willing to trade for him only furthers the likelihood it’s all fake news and didn’t happen.
  18. All good, but I still dont think they are as close as you think. Raiders had Mack, and the same defense still stunk and was a seive. They are a lot farther away from a good defense than a pass rusher. Their secondary is terrible so is the LB's and DL. Any of these guys would probably be the best player on the Raiders defense right now: Hyde, Poyer, White, Edmunds, Hughes, Zo, and maybe even Star. We have easily 5 guys who are better than any other Raider defender today, and one could argue 7. So I still disagree on how close they are. And I would take Josh Allen over Derek Carr right now too. Yes Carr has done more, but he hasn't been the same in years and Allen showed a lot of growth last year and elevated a bad team. Carr has squandered talent, I mean he couldn't even get Cooper involved while Dak made Cooper a star again. Allen elevated UDFA rookies who got cut during the season and made use of guys who perennially drop passes like Zay. PS: Radiers also now have to contend with Mahomes in that division, while Bills are in a division where the Elite is near the end and Jets and Mia are not much of a threat yet. Bills better suited for near term divisional success.
  19. We have 10 picks, including the 9th overall and 40th overall. And I trust Beane and McD to do a lot more with those first 2 picks than Raiders accomplish with their 3 first rounders based on draft history. And we are a whole defense ahead of the Raiders as it is. They need to a lot of improvements to just be where the Bills are today and have a inept staff running their ship to try and do it. All great points and I agree with all of them. Browns I think will win their division, and I believe the Bills can and will contend to dethrone the Pats THIS year if Beane and McD have a strong offseason in rebuilding the talent around Josh on the offense.
  20. We have a lot of picks too and we are in way better overall shape. Raiders are light years away from a good defense and their offense is as devoid of talent as ours, if not worse. We have a lot of cap room to help fill the holes, and with an ascending young QB and a stout young defense, we are close to being a very good football team. Not to mention we have a better front office and coaching staff by a mile.
  21. Well to be fair, I would rather play in warm and exciting Las Vegas in a brand new stadium than in Buffalo...and I am a Bills fan. But he emphasized winning, and Bills are a lot closer to that than the Raiders.
