  1. As a life long Bills fan, I'm still getting comfortable with the notion that we have a legit top-5 QB1. All those years wandering the QB and HC desert have left me somewhat cautious. Josh was the guy I wanted on draft night. I was estatic when they drafted him. Last year was THE most fun I have had as a Bills fan in literally decades. Watching them hew down the over-vaunted NFC West and sweep the AFC East made for a delirious ride. Even the Cards game was awesome when Allen led them downfield to give them the lead. I used to joke with people that the Bills were the minor league football team of the NFL where they would draft the players, train them up and then send them to big league teams where their full potential could be exploited. No more. Josh Allen is now becoming a player that attracts talent. Times are a changing. I'd personally like to see Josh match last year's performance. I don't expect him to exceed it as I would hope the rest of the team picks up and truly plays complimentary football as is so oft spoken from the HC. I hope to see growth in leadership. I hope to see him continue to win games when they need him to. I hope to see him manage games when they don't. I hope to see the INTs and fumbles go down. Teams aren't going to get caught by surprise with the wide-open Daboll offense again this year. Josh's play needs to evolve this year. Like every legit top QB-1 seems to be able to do. I do wonder if Simms' mancrush on Josh doesn't skew his e v a l a bit. I personally can't pick him over Rodgers yet. Rodgers has been so clutch and displays all the things I have highlighted on a consistent level over many years. There is so much preseason hype on the Bills. Hard to go from never talked about to always talked about. From hunter to hunted. But it sure is going to be a fun ride for the foreseeable future.
  2. Listen to this: Cowherd makes a pretty convincing case it was Chicago and our newly minted QB2..
  3. It should be interesting to see the Ravens this year. They lost some big bodies on defense during FA. Their defense plays so well every year because they had the Dline and DBs. Their DBs are stout but benefit greatly from their Dline stopping the run allowing them to play the WRs. If teams start running on them, which I project, the complexion of their defense will change. And if some cracks open up in their rush defense, that is going to put more pressure on their offense. And if their offense is starting to switch to a more pro look (LJ under center), we are going to find out once and for all what LJ abilities are/are not. Their division is as strong as it has ever been top to bottom. There should be some classic battles in the AFC North this year. I saw a report recently that Baltimore QBs were no longer allowed to be filmed during their OTAs. "Ravens coach John Harbaugh explained the team's new restrictions on outside media using video during practice. Harbaugh was specifically asked why filming quarterback Lamar Jackson throwing the football to wide receivers was not allowed at the mandatory minicamp. "The reason is because you're not us," Harbaugh said." Sounds like it's a work in progress. edit: This article came out that puts some Ravens context on the quote above. Short read, but it essentially says the Ravens will allow some filming of a one-on-one pass to receivers, but anything that shows a complex route (2 or more) provides footage for other teams. Ravens don't want that out there. So rather than force themselves to police the media, they are just shutting down that type of coverage. https://nypost.com/2021/06/17/the-ravens-are-hiding-lamar-jackson/
  4. Big dude. Lucky/unlucky dude on the cusp of making his dream come true. Takes four bullets and survives. Should be interesting to hear the real, non-agent-adulterated version.
  5. 1. Josh Allen 2. Stefon Diggs 3. Dion Dawkins 4. Darrell Williams 5. TreDavious White 6. Jordan Poyer 7. Matt Milano 8. Tremaine Edmunds 9. Taron Johnson 10. Tyler 'big balls' Bass
  6. The interesting thing about Beasley on Twitter is not what he said, but the fact he is on Twitter at all. At one point last season he stated in an interview that he had quit all social media and was now living his best life because of it. Social media must be like crack for the modern athlete.
  7. News I recently saw was LJ and the other B'more QBs are making a point of emphasis this off season on throwing the deep ball. He is also taking more snaps under center. I suspect we are going to see a more typical pro offense out of B'more this year. I think every team knows you can't run your QB indefinitely. Sooner or later, he's going to get popped by someone. Should be interesting to see if they activate all the new toys they drafted and brought in during FA.
  8. One thing I liked about the Matt Milano interview was his refusal to blame his health for his slow start back from injury. He owned his level of play.
  9. That a Belichickian thing. All rooks get 50 until they earn their number.
  10. I was in the stands for that game. It's one of the few I have seen that really stands out in my long term memory. It was absolutely nuts in the stands.
  11. So I didn't say anything about forcing a player to get a vaccine. And I doubt a player who isn't required to wear a mask is going to wear one. It seems to me the NFL is on full speed ahead to return to normal. Full stadiums, less restrictions on vaccinated players, live draft, etc... So I fully expect reporters will be out of their cars and back in the building by training camps. Again, I just don't see how you can look at that list of restrictions and come to the conclusion that I would rather wear a mask in the weight room, go through mandatory testing every work day, be segregated in the lunchroom, get tossed off of planes for trips if you are in close contact with a positive person, etc, etc.. And yet some will.. Crazy to me.
  12. Dawkins may just be the true heartbeat of the Bills. His interviews are always instant classics. He just comes across as so down to earth and real.
  13. So for all the secrecy of who was vaccinated and who was not, all you will need to see his footage of those wearing masks at the facility. It amuses me how a player can look at the restrictions for not getting a vaccine and saying, "I'm good with that."
  14. Back in the 90s, the stadium also sat 80,000 people making sellouts very challenging..
  15. I put the schedule through my calculator and came out with 20-0 with wins over Mahomes (x2) and Brady (x2). You should rush right off to your favorite bookie before the odds change.
  16. That's crazy. I get she is 5 foot something and he is more than 5 foot something, but that size differential is amazing.. I hope Josh can see over that Ent to throw.
