  1. I always tell people you are born a Bills fan. Few voluntarily select this team to root for.
  2. I know why I don't like them. It goes back to their creation. Art Modell sat on the expansion committee. He made sure that new franchises were sent to Carolina and Jacksonville even though Baltimore had a far superior package. He then uprooted the Browns who were very successful in Cleveland. He met the governor of Maryland on his private plane at BWI airport. He left with the deal to move Cleveland to Baltimore.
  3. I thought about this too. But the same could be said about Cleveland, Buffalo and Baltimore.. Good coaches will keep their players focused. I think each of these teams have good coaches and good QBs.
  4. Damn.. Belichick must have called him. He hates the Ravens more... How about a hat trick of sack, INT and FR for a birthday present?
  5. He's old.. Too much mileage.. No surprise. Dobbs obsoleted him.. Edwards is JAG..
  6. Defiantly .... sign me up. and Definitely won't be sleeping afterwards regardless of the outcome.
  7. Older than most on here. Grew up in Hamburg. Job moved me to New Jersey and then to Maryland after college. Was a season ticket holder during the great run of the late 80s and the early 90s. Drove in for every game over a five year period. Did not miss a game in five years. First from Jersey, then from Maryland. Everyone who knew me in Jersey and knows me in Maryland knows I am a "Buffalo" native and a Sabres and Bills fan, through and through. But I am a Buffalo, the city, fan first and foremost. I went to high school in South Buffalo which meant I was riding a metro bus back and forth each day. I meet lots of Bills fans in my travels and one of the themes that is most common amongst us expats is a reverence we hold for WNY. It's hard to describe, but having grown up there it literally is in our blood, part of our DNA. I keep a second home a few miles from the Rich Stadium (it will always be Rich stadium to me, the place I saw my first football game, the Rolling Stones, and the great runs of the K-Gun offense) and get back to the area frequently as both my wife and I have significant family still there. When the Bills are doing good, I like to talk about them. When the Bills are doing bad, I literally abstain from all internet. While I get it works for some, I have no interest in dwelling on the bad or tearing down the team or player. I work very hard to keep my written thoughts positive. I am absolutely envious of Boston, Pittsburgh, Dallas and places like that. Those fans do not know how lucky they have it. If one of their sport franchises is losing, it's likely they have another that will bring home a championship. What makes us Buffalo fans one of the greatest fan bases is we have not known glory. Our mooted celebrations are for wide right and no goal. We don't have a history of excellence. We do have a history of heartache. And yet hope springs eternal and we root on our team and our city. I am not prepared for this season to be over at midnight tonight. I genuinely believe this team has something very special going on. The Ravens will get their pound of flesh tonight, but they are leaving to clean out their lockers tomorrow. Josh and Cole and Stefon and Dion and Matt, and Jordan and Micah and Tre and Mario and and and will find a way. Go Bills!!!
  8. Don't be too hard on him. He just realized Maryland crabs are from Maryland. It's been quite a week.
  9. The amazing thing about Baltimore is it really doesn’t matter who their DC is. They have lost a bunch of them over the years and the new/next guy comes in and they don’t miss a beat. Amazingly consistent defense is played there. I suppose it helps when Ray Lewis was your ML for so many years. Wink is just a guy. If they replaced him tomorrow with “chad”, they’d be the same.
  10. Two things I think are going to surprise folks when the game is over: 1. Buffalo played better run defense than expected, and 2. Baltimore was much better at throwing the ball than people expected. Playoff pregame narratives don't always hold up. Exhibits: 1. Steelers barf all over the first period and lay the biggest playoff 1st quarter egg the world has ever seen, 2. Bears defense played the heavily favored Saints tough all game long 3. Washington was in the game at the end with a rookie 3rd string QB. 4. Buffalo was going to roll the Colts and Taylor was going to run wild on the Bills 5. Seattle had found their defense and their offense was going to do enough to stymie the Rams and their 9-digit QB. 6. Henry was going to roll up a 100 yard on the Ravens
  11. Here's how I see it. Last year, Baltimore was a team of destiny. They let their shot slip away. Number 1 seed in playoffs. Bye week. Consensus MVP. Blitzkrieged the teams they played. They can do all the ball washing they want, but they choked away their opportunity. To the extent that they beat Tennessee this year, they can feel good about their season now. But fact of the matter is, they let COVID run rampant through their franchise. Harbaugh was out on TV early in the season saying no one was doing more to be diligent about COVID and protocols. The NFL levied a huge fine. So much for that narrative. The Bills are this year's team of destiny. They have played a harder schedule under the national glare and vanquished demons just like the Ravens did last year. Buffalo has a red hot QB/WR tandem that every team has tried to shut down. Buffalo is home. Judon is ailing. Campbell is skipping practices. While I know they will play, I suspect something is going on with both of them. Buffalo will not steamroll these Ravens, but will essentially outlast them. Buffalo is going to take this show to KC.
  12. Tyler Big Ball Bass. He’s matching kicks against the best PK in the league. Bass’ kicks are going to be huge. I have him down for 3FG and 2xps. Bills win 23-20.
  13. Someone needed to be sacrificed to the football gods. Of course it won't be the HC and his gutless 4th down call..
  14. It's out there. It was a mutual love fest between the two QBs this week.
  15. Heard this on GMFB. If Josh wants to duplicate Brady’s longevity, he will be playing into 2041.
  16. This gif is going to be around for a long, long time,,
  17. This falls squarely on the coach. He rushed the playing of Tua and then pulled him twice. You could not have scripted it more poorly, especially with Fitz out and Tua getting blown out to end the season.
  18. The most plausible explanation I could make up for the delayed call in NY, was the replay official was having an in-game Lamar moment. The ref was under the hood, but NY was still on the can. The ref had to wait a good five minutes for the replay official to finish his business.
