Could this be a vested veteran move? Be just like Belichick to cut him, have all the NFL buzzing and then re-sign him and start him week 1. The man is an evil genius.

This makes NE rather conventional. Pocket passer with two good TEs and a fleet of running backs to run or catch swing passes.

I went and watched their 3rd preseason game when Ben and Najee were in. Ben threw a beautiful bomb on one play and Najee can catch the ball. Should be a good test for both teams. -

Bills cuts to get to 53 [final info in the OP]

Since we get the higher of Carolina's or Vegas's 6th, I suppose we are rooting for Gruden to flame out.. Shouldn't be a problem. Jon: Please start Peterson and ship out Carr... you know you want to... Do it... Do it now!!! -

Allen, Watson, Wilson and Jones in the AFC East would make for years of fun games. -

It has to be psychological at this point. He drops so many passes he could start for the Steelers. -

I was hoping to get another gilmpse of him in the 3rd preseason game. Giving him the keys to the car without a real drivers test is interesting. So far he looks real good in the limited reps I have seen. Gets a real test right out the gate with that Panther's defense. -
Big loss for sure. Baltimore is stocked at RB. MCClary (sp) looked pretty good. And I think the Oline and LJ8 threat to run there makes any RB look good.

Jackson got sacked twice and Dobbins hurt. Harbaugh saw enough. On to Huntley. -

Dobbins holding his knee after a tackle. That doesn’t look good. -

But to be fair, there was no Rodgers, Jones, Adams, Scantling, Cobbs or Tonyan in the game. And Mason Crosby missed a gimme FG. I would have liked to see them tune up against their 1s. -

It's upthread. McD wanted to surprise him to mimic a game situation. Go in on a moments notice. -

Agreed. Imagine the havoc Rodgers/Adams would have wrought against Cam Lewis today.. Not knocking Cam (he's still developing), but he did get lost on a couple of his coverages today. -

Listening to Beane, it sure sounded like Phillips and Zimmer made the team. Threw in props for Johnson too. If I'm Butler/Addison, I'm concerned I will be on a new team in a few days. -

An eligible to play Watson in Miami is scary. They have a darn good receiving core there. -

Time will tell, but I just don't think Sanders has the wheels anymore to get that reliably deep. John Brown is 3 years younger. Unlike QBs, father time slows down RBs and WRs. I think Sanders will fall into the wiley veteran with good hands role. I expect him to lull the CB2 to sleep and double move him, but I don't think he is the just run deep guy anymore. Edit: I'll also add, I think Diggs has come out and said he wants to run deeper routes too. Could be E takes some of the middle routes DIggs was running last year. -

The afterglow 1.) Buffalo doesn't even pretend like they need to run. 2.) JA17 running to his left and throwing back across his body to the middle of the field was the second jaw dropping play he made today. We all know what was 1st. 3.) Not sure what to make of our #1 Defense going against their 2nd string offense. GB made a lot of plays. They are definitely deep and talented. 4.) Too many presnap penalties. 5.) Neal was the most noticeable player on defense today. 6.) Love TW27 saying he wanted to talk about his QB when interviewed. 7.) Bates, Stevenson and Brant seem like the only new M*A*S*H entries today. 8.) Think we saw how they plan to throw to "E" today. Quick hitters. 9.) No Singletary was interesting. (edit: caught two passes and no rushing attempts) 10.) Thought they might throw more to Hollister today. Didn't happen. 11.) I would have liked to see Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams go after our secondary. Those would have been valuable reps. 12.) We ready.. We ready.. We ready
