Which HC Job, If Any, Does Brian Daboll Get?
wjag replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My vote was aspirational. He stays in the hood. My real vote would have been the no brainer selection of the Chargers. -
My wife has rekindled her interest in watching me watch the Bills. Apparently I am quite the show. 🙂 I'm pacing all game, cheerleading, groaning, hooting and hollering.. So when Buffalo was up by 14 points in the fourth and was really limiting them, I was explaining to her strategy between plays. It went something like, okay, now just make them eat clock as they drive down to score. 4-5 minutes drives and this game is over with a capital O. And then, 1:50 something seconds later I was back to groaning... nooooooo... and then the subsequent drive was again lickety-split.. Game on. My phone is blowing up with text messages as non-Bills friends are coming out of the woodwork to ask what the hell was going on.. 2019 is creeping in to my thoughts as Buffalo wastes a brilliant and only good RB run of the day by ending up in 3rd and 33. Rivers is all of sudden dissecting them. You could see the genuine concern in Josh's eyes as he watched helplessly from the sideline. Like many have expressed on here, I was wiped out when it was over. I didn't know what to feel. Elated sure, but concerned too. What was that? How did a brilliant third quarter go so quickly down the tubes? Whatever happened in those frenetic final 10 minutes of the game, be it personnel, communications, strategy, whatever, please fix it. That left a really bad impression on many and almost ruined a perfectly sunny day at the Ralph.. I'm sure the Ravens are busy dissecting the tape. Go Bills!!!

Nope. I can already see his next pivot. Baker > Josh. It started a bit today. I know it's play acting, but Brandon Marshall always looks like he wants to punch him in their segments. 🙂

Yep.. That was the worst they have had it all season. Punts would just die inside the 10. Roberts gets nailed on the 10 after their TD. Have to go on a 96 yard drive to flip the field and the momentum. I said in another thread, the Ravens have an exceptional kicking team. This may just be the game within the game.

They haven't had all their lineman on the field at the same time much this year. They do now. I think that has kept their numbers down. Make no mistake, they are coming after Josh. They will likely get there. This is the battle Buffalo must win if they want to win the game. I have already ceded the loss of the Bills Dline to their OLine.

Passer Ratings from Wild Card Weekend: Josh Allen is #1
wjag replied to BigBuff423's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cleveland gave up 47 completions on 68 passes last night for 500 yards. Me thinks Patrick Mahomes is smiling this morning.. -
I posted before I watched the clip. Where does this information come from? It has not been reported and it sure would have been on Ian Rappaport/Tom Pellisaro segment before it was announced by Peter there. I'm at least suspicious on second thought that this is accurate. No way the Bills release that information when it has been Fort Knox on his actual injuries for two weeks now.

Passer Ratings from Wild Card Weekend: Josh Allen is #1

501 yards for Big Ben and only an 85.5. Those INTs were killers.. Not magical, just SF-like... -
I'm shocked. 😉

Ever since they got over their covid stuff, and re-emphasized the run game, they have been rolling. Their game is to get ahead in the first quarter and then pound the rock. They have THE best kicker in the league. Their punter is top notch. They are heavy into analytics and likely to go more times than not on 4th down. Their Dline with Judon, Williams, Campbell and Wolfe is solid. They have a rookie ML in Queen. They have a solid secondary. Peters being the most likely to be targeted. KC shredded their man-to-man early in the season and essentially routed them. They run a three-headed rushing attack with Edwards, Dobbins and Ingram (inj). They are healthy as any team heading into the playoffs. They are brash team. Their TE is lethal down the middle and out on short routes to the left or right. Their best receiver is Brown who is in full diva mode this year. He was absent during their dip but is back and running good routes. Their other guy, Boykin makes enough splash plays to be a concern. The strength of last year's team was the TEs. They let Hurst (he beat the Bills on that route last year) leave for Atlanta so they aren't as deep at TE as they were. Last point, they lost Stanley, LT, a few weeks back (just after they paid him extortion LT dollars 🙂) and seemingly don't miss him in the run game. So kudos to them and their depth.

Forget the Ravens run offense. It's going to get its share. I want to focus on the five game balls that will be handed out if the Bills win. They will go to Dawkins, Boettger, Morse, Feliciano and Williams. The intriguing part of this matchup is the Ravens will play man. If the Bills Oline can keep Josh clean, this could be a fun game to watch.

He's coming around. He admitted 17 has a massive upside. He said more flattering than unflattering this week. As Josh gets closer to his Chiefs, he's holding back. The bet is now at least a push. Cowerd is off the hook. Bills beat Baltimore and it's condiment time.

Why is everyone focusing on just Jackson in this game? Edwards and Dobbins are the other two elements. They all run the ball behind a behemoth of a FB. Fine, keep Lamar in the pocket if you can on pass plays, but the Ravens run a lot of plays where Lamar stuffs the ball into the gut of both Edwards and Dobbins and then pulls it out for the keeper or leaves it there. Tennessee had increasing difficulty figuring out whom to crash down on. That run game with pulling guards and tackles is what makes them so potent. Buffalo is going to get gashed all game long by this play. The offense is going to need to out point them. This has 200 yards rushing written all over it. Watching the Tennessee game, Tennessee did a good job of taking away Andrews. Best I have seen all year. So Jackson found Brown mostly and Boykin somewhat. The other thing I noticed was Tennessee left Ricard (FB) open in the flat and he made some big catches from there. I get it, let the FB beat you rather than the TE or WR. It's going to be an interesting chess match.
