Bears Decline Option on Guard Josh Sitton
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn’t say he wouldn’t. I asked a question to a poster. The question was based off the poster putting Cordy at RT. The move away from zone could benefit Miller and probably Richie as well. I agree Dawkins looked more comfortable at LT . Why does is seem so hard to find a RT? It almost feels like you need to find a Vet that can’t play LT anymore to move over to the right side. -
Patrick DiMarco - stay or go?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to defer to Daboll. DiMarco wasn’t the only person who looked out of place. Dennison had Tolbert in on packages at times that didn’t suit his skill set. I believe DiMarco has the talent. -

Why do you think Miller will start this year? Why do you think Cordy will play RT? -
Buffalo Bills 2018 Salary Cap
atlbillsfan1975 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In a perfect world this would be the plan. -
Cousins has very solid numbers and will be a top 10 quarterback for years to come. I hate to say it but the $60 million first year deal actually sounds pretty wise. Get a hug chunk of the deal out of the way so the Jets could build around him by signing their own FA as they need too. Cousins could be a really good fit for the Jets.

Buffalo Bills 2018 Salary Cap
atlbillsfan1975 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe the Bills are going to take the same approach to Glenn as they did with Watkins. Show he is healthy and then trade him in August for picks and a player. This is the biggest savings. I also believe we will get a tip on this being possible with Henderson. IF Henderson is healthy, look for him to be brought back as a swing tackle. Making Glenn the odd man out. Glenn’s contract is also one where trading him post June 1st makes the most financial sense. -
Bills Salary cap discussions
atlbillsfan1975 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice break down, thank you. If the Bills want to move on from Glenn then they need to trade him post June 1st. His contract has the biggest swing and most glaring disparage from a trade as opposed to a cut. Tyrod, Hughes, Lorenzo, and Richie have similar savings be it cut or traded. I would like to see Richie and Lorenzo brought back. I would look for Beane to make another trade similar to the Watkins deal with Glenn in August as teams see needs. A healthy Glenn displayed during some preseason games could bring back a nice player and high pick. I feel like the Bills have been able to find left tackles but struggling to fill the RT. Mills started to come on and Henderson might finally be back to playing form. Henderson would be a good swing tackle if healthy. Dawkins did very good for a rookie and I can see him becoming the LT. Hughes traded after June 1st would be a good savings. Hopefully Beane can find a defensive scheme similar to the one Schwartz runs with a team that has cap space and needs a pass rusher. Tyrod needs to be cut or traded pre March 16th or post June 1st. -
Rumor: Shady on the Trade Block
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade him to the Giants coupled with both first rounds picks and out 3rd rounder this year. Giants win the Super Bowl this year and the Bills get their quarterback for the next 15 years and get a Super Bowl win in 2025. -
WWE reportedly pursuing Gronkowski

Good place for him to practice and work on his acting. It worked for the Rock. -
2018 Potential Free Agent WRs
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is talk about Watkins here in Atlanta...talk about put up or shut up time. There would be no doubt who is getting all the attention with Julio on one side. Ryan isn’t the best QB but he is darn good. I actually think Watkins in Atl makes a ton of sense if they can get the money right. -
Exactly right about structuring the deal. I would expect the bills pro scouts are working with Beane and McDermott on who is available that would fit the scheme and most likely cost less. If i was the Bills i would keep things cordial but let Gaines test the waters. See how the league views his injuries and the fact that he was surrounded by 3 other players that had great seasons. The injuries are not just something that occurred just this season. I think a strong base salary of $7 mil + time played and wins incentives could be good landing spot for everyone. If Gaines stayed healthy and the Bills won 11 games and had a dominant defense, i think the Bills would gladly pay him 10 million a year.

Eh, it is February. There is most likely zero sense of urgency by either side. I know i wanted something to happen , because i wanted something to happen.

Gronkowski WILL RETIRE per - - -
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This could very well be true. I also think this time of year plenty of vets consider retiring. The season take a huge toll physically, mentally, and emotionally on these guys. Many of them rest and heal up and get hungry to play again. i can see Gronk first transitioning to wresting with some bit acting in movies on the side. Wrestling will help him work on his timing and others skills needed for acting. He will take the Rocks path ultimately if he can learn to be a good movie star. To me their is a difference between a movie star and an actor. Tom Cruise movie star and I see Tom Hanks as an actor. I think Gronk has been acting for a long time. He displays a persona that I doubt is really who he is. side note, was the elbow to White an audition for wresting?! -
UGA Cleans House in Recruiting
atlbillsfan1975 replied to atlbillsfan1975's topic in College Football
Kirby needs to win a Nat’l Championship in the next 3 years or people will be thinking he can’t coach up talent recruited. This was Sabans worse recruiting class since being at Bama. That was the point of my post. No doubt Saban can win with new coaches at different positions. I think though the massive turnover the last 2 seasons is impacting the talent being brought on campus. -
i Think this thread shows that everyone looks for something different in what they would consider a satisfying work place. Some guys want to have fun and occasional success while others would rather have a more professional environment that produces more sustainable positive results. Finding the right fit ultimately is what all organizations and individuals need to reach their goals.
-
UGA just set a record for the most Five Star recruits with this last class. I am the first to say Kirby Smart now needs to turn that into a National Championship. I am wondering if this could this be the beginning of the end for Coach Saban? The loss of all the assistant coaches might be taking its toll where it counts the most, finding talent and getting them on campus.

Bills hire another Alabama staffer
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Starr Almighty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the continuity possibility from The two working together at Bama. As others have stated analytics is all about establishing patterns. Using the patterns to exploit tendencies by another coach. I think it would help if you have two guys who are looking for and speaking the same language.
