I am not a Mayfield guy. Don’t like the attitude and think he has decent passing skills. His game will not translate to the NFL with the same success. I watched him in the Rose Bowl. When UGA went to a four man front and was able to get pressure Mayfield played completely different.

Poe’s back isn’t right. I don’t think he will ever get back to form. Clayborne is a one year wonder who had six of his 9.5 sacks in one game.

He made a couple of nice plays in the Jax game, the play where he pulled the running back backwards was awesome. So much for fatigue for the old guys. I think DE best suits his skill set. High character guy who McDermott needs if Kyle hangs it up.

People saying offense was the problem are missing the point of this thread. if McDermott had adjusted and run the Defense he did in the last 5 mins for the entire second half the Bills would of had a better opportunity to win. I hope a reporter does ask why McDermott didn’t make Bortles win w his arm? McDermott witnessed firsthand how that’s done when teams shut down Tyrod.

Yep. Not to mention the fact that many players selected in the top 10 don’t turn out to be as good as players selected later. I think the Bills finally have good college talent evaluators in the building.

I wonder what Sammy’s career would be if the Bills hadn’t made the fade to get him and he had been drafted when the Bills picked at their regular spot. Sammy is a decent wide receiver with exceptional physical talent.

You are correct. Reed gets the most out of his QB’s. Smith looks good today. I want to see how he finishes. Taylor just isn’t on the same level as Smith. In this instance I kind think the numbers tell the story and difference between Taylor and Smith.

Marrone vs McDermott. Marrone’s specialty is the offense and McDermott’s is the defense. Let’s see what each one comes up with. I think Bortles is going to be ready to play. So much negative talk about the guy and he has shown he can put up numbers. McDermott will need to get creative with coverages and see some blitzes. Bortles does have the ability to put up a 300 yd game

I think people want Tyrod to run the ball. I could see 30 drop backs with 5-8 designed roll out with a run option for Tyrod and straight QB draws. Tyrod is a very streaky QB who can gain or lose confidence on a single play.
