Preseason week 2 (non Bills related)
DrPJax replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
And so it begins. Worthy already with his first td reception for the chiefs who lead 13-0 against the lions. Can’t help but wait for our receiver to catch his first pass even. lol, the chiefs look good tho. Maybe we can make a deal to get ariza back as it looks like they won’t punt often between the o looking good and having a great fg kicker. Sorry , but it sure is a different vibe betwwn us and KC. We just lost Milano , not sure which wrs will actually step up, and they are talking three peat ! Has to make you question why we can’t turn the corner , why we traded w these guys , and If we have the right coaching regime. If we don’t compete for at least an afc championship this year, I think we have to consider fresh ideas as it sure looks like other franchises aren’t afraid to seek the best and don’t just stay in place. Araiza just hit a 62 yard corner placed kick with just a 19 yard return. Sure does make me ill that we gave up on him and folded to the me too movement. Another bills/ chiefs tie that binds us, in a bad way. 😏. Doesn’t help that the broadcast crew is singing his praises bout hang time , while we talk about hanging our punter and place kicker!😄😎. Just kidding ,,,, somewhat! -
Most of the Bills' injuries have been on defense...Why is that?
DrPJax replied to mannc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just a couple thoughts , but I bet there are studies available to answer this. Educated guesses : D players are running backwards or being pushed backwards which is not regular kinesiology, so you are stressing muscle groups in different directions than they were developed for against large resistences. Many of these injuries are non contact, like Achilles injuries and torn tendons from their attachments. Perhaps those chronic micro injuries take a toll Offensive players know the directions they want to go , are not reacting , and reacting causes greater strains on muscle groups / tendons with huge forces generated from suddenly slowing or changing directions or suddenly stopping against an opposing force hitting you. Again, reacting and sudden deceleration or acceleration puts tremendous stress on ligaments and tendons. You may be right about our scheme using smaller lbs and more dbs against large o lineman , large backs running you over and basic physics regarding force comes into play. Mass , acceleration or speed results in forces acting on you, and I’m sure smaller guys tend to lose those battles more than the smaller guy comes out on top. Offensive players have a warning many times they are going to be hit , so they can go down , slow down, change their body Angle to avoid full impact. D players do none of that. They keep going full speed , they try to hit with maximum impact , many times they get blindsided by blockers or they may have already made impact only to have one of their own fully hit them from behind , adding yet more force that comes w no warning. We all have seen d players miss hitting the offensive player who ducks , only to hit his fellow team mate and cause a broken long bone or head injury. Plus , it’s only been recently that spearing or using the head / helmet as a weapon has been outlawed and many times those spearing hits could end up hitting a teammate in a pile etc. D is about hitting to cause fumbles , knock players back to stop forward momemtum etc, you just don’t usually see d players slow down before hitting someone. The o guys can try to adjust impact by going down , going out of bounds , twisting to avoid impact. It just seems like basic physics regarding impacts that d players take puts them more at risk. I agree , luck is an issue. But overtraining plays a role. Both tre and Matt were recovering from serious injuries that required surgery and immobility of the injured limb. They still continue to train tho , and being very competitive, they may overtrain the other functional grouos and both interestingly were tendon ruptures on other prior healthy limbs. Matt was a safety turned into a lb. He has huge biceps and they didn’t get that way by not stressing against resistance , lifting large weights over time , and finally those tendons can tear as they don’t enlarge where they attach to bone while the muscles are enlarging much more His biceps probably doubled or tripled in size / force it was capable of compared to no tendon enlargement , and finally all that added strength ( force) of that growing biceps tears the tendon holding it to forearm. I’m not a sports med specialist or orthopedist but get some training in sports injuries in family practice. It would make sense that tre had modified or altered the use of his prior non injured limb. So his Achilles attaches two muscle groups to the back of the heel and bottom of the foot as the plantar fascia. He had a non contact injury or tesr, but this was at least a year of altered use as his other limb was the one with the torn ACL. Obviously he used the other limb more while rehabbing , and prob developed micro tears in his Achilles and it finally snapped. So training , altered use prob plays a role in these non contact injuries In addition , who really knows what these guys are willing to use , take , inject to keep earning huge $. I’m sure some guys know how to cycle to minimize detection and things like creatine that bulk muscles or increase training capacity may also play a role in injuries. Not accusing tre of using anything illegal , but I am sure some in the league have , as alzedo for example died from complications of years of anabolic steroid use. It’s been mostly eliminated but still every year someone’s urine has a banned substance. That’s prob an anomaly , but these are huge men with low percentages of body fat hitting each other, so it’s just natural to wonder ! lol! Just some educated guesses why the d may be more at risk. If I find time ( unfortunately I’m dealing with an undisclosed / unduagnised abdominal situation right now and just had two cat scans. Still looks like I need colonoscopy and may need surgery , so not feeling great and it’s hard to read a lot when you feel lousy. It’s so true , if you have your health , you have everything. 😊) I could see if a literature search has definitive answers because there has to have been some long term studies done! -

Look, don’t let these w rose colored glasses get to you. These are legit issues , and throw in guys underperforming like cook, bass , mvs,etc , and after that first game last week , 33-6 , you have to have some questions or it’s just burying your head. I don’t think we’ll know till final roster is settled , and we get 4 games under our belt. By then we will know if Brady , Allen and the o can operate with one really skilled tight end and a bunch of journeymen wr ‘s If some break out , we may have a good 10-11 win season. This d is a real question mark. They always underperform in clutch games , regardless of their stats that so many rely on to argue how great they are. But the fact is this regime has made just one afc championship game , and regressed to losing their last playoff game AT HOME! All the injuries were cited as the reason , and that was a factor.. Yet now many more guys are permanently gone and somebody has to prove they can step up at the safety positions, plus stay healthy now at the lb position as depth took a huge hit. , and even the dl has to stay healthy as they have had injury issues every year and they need to finally see if they can ever turn pressures into sacks! They are in this position of question because many if beans moves have not worked like he expected, and he complicated things by giving out huge contracts to aging players or to bass before he proved he was indeed the guy. Now he can’t be depended on and they can’t afford to cut or move on from him despite obvious struggles. So I don’t know how anyone can be totally confident ; the odds are against us as they have not even made a SB yet under mcd , and they have underperformed in all but one postseason where they blew their best chance in 13 seconds. Could they have a good year ? Yes. But now it’s results time , show me you can at least get to a SB, overcoming the d always choking when Josh left the field with the lead. I’m only stating facts,,,,,not opinion or arguments based on a team / roster that has yet to play a full real game together with two newish coordinators , and a real SOS that has better qbs than they often faced last year. Hoping they will be great ,,, but prove it for once! ( bears looking good , they have a vibe I would love to start seeing from the Bills ! That’s not hating on the Bills , just want to see them play w confidence and not play down to lesser talented teams as they have a habit of doing ). Go BILLS ,,,, LETS start having potential turn into results!

Bills @ Steelers - Preseason Game 2 - Sat 8/17 7PM
DrPJax replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hope you have a great day. I’m originally from Ohio but right across the border from Pittsburgh. I grew up with all my friends loving the Steelers and the steel curtain. It was prime Steelers time and I was the lone Bills fan in my area. But I loved the area in the fall and around football season thru new years. Beatiful fall skies and trees and in winter the hills woul be covered w pristine snow and high lighted with beautiful decorations from Halloween thru Christmas with beautiful colored lights reflecting off the snow. I miss that so musc breung inn Florida , but it was the rust belt for a reason as the dying coal and steel industries killed gynecologists growth : just no jobs and hospitals were closing except right in Pittsburgh! But driving in that snow on those hills was no fun ; beautiful to look at but miserable to work or drive in. No better people tho or fans than in that area , just like BUFFALO , I would imagine as I have never been lucky enough to visit b- lo. So hoping you have a wonderful day, be safe driving , hope the bills start to answer some questions w some decent performance because another week like last week , and I think there are legitimate concerns popping up. ( watching the bears now and that qb Williams is for real, , dropping dimes and bombs on the run. Nowonder they so easily got rid of fields ! Guy is really accurate and Odunze is the real deal as well ). Just hope the d steps up a little agaist Wilson , as they need an emotional boost after losing Milano. I don’t care what the denial is goin on with posters who stated that he’s easily replaced, just listen to the players and guys who make a living following the bills ,,,that’s a big loss given All the positions in flux! This team ends some positives to temper all the news w Milano , cook, bass , mvs, claypool etc. Have a great day , go bills , I’m jealous but will be watching ! How do we pick you out? 😊👍👍👍✌️ -
Matt Milano had surgery for "significant bicep injury", out indefinitely
DrPJax replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. Some of this is just a lot of rationalizing just to make themselves feel better and thinking any player can just Be replaced because “ we won games without him”. Sure but football is still a team sport where chemistry and experience actually do count. If an injury was just in isolation , sure it’s easier to help cover the drop off of the 1/11 th of the guys who started. These guys become pro bowl players for reasons : first is raw talent and football intelligence. There’s a reason certain guys are pro bowl players or make the HOF. Denying there is a difference is irrational , these are guys who stand out and more often than others make plays that actually affect game outcomes. It’s pretty unusual to plug in a second year guy who has had little experience at critical times and not see some drop off. I don’t accept the Benard / Edmund’s analogy as emunds was way overhyped , rarely made any game changing plays , often made tackles trailing and never shot gaps or consistent with sacks. Bernard played well , but honestly , Edmund’s set a low bar. How great was Chicago last year with him ; easiest guy to replace on that defense. But the real issue is just as you pointed out. Football season is about attrition, the teams that are fortunate enough to be healthy come playoff time tend to be successful. Just look at us last year, or the BENGALS without BURROWS, Or the fins with Hill playing injured. It’s not just that Milano is down , it’s. Another blow to depth before anything even counts. You made a great point about Bernard and our other Lbs like Spector. . So far they also have not proven they can or will stay healthy. You’re right , they are under sized and I would bet none of them goes without missing at least a couple of games this year. So now we are dropping further down the depth , experience, talent pool. Pretty soon you are playing with guys off the street ,,,,hmm ,,, we’ve seen how well that goes. Not a single defenesive stop till almost the end of that KC game. But hey, we can just plug in the next guy ! The larger issue , trying not to miss the forest for the trees, is that this D roster has already taken huge hits in talent and leadership ; guys who have playoff experience runs in their past. Ok so now Milano , a pro bowler , get replaced by an athletic guy who couldn’t prove yet he was better than Milano. But this year we’re already missing White( luckily we picked up a VET, who is more physical than white , but he’s older as well and depended on the experienced safety duo to know how to play in this scheme. He has 1/2 year in this scheme , and has had injuries as he didn’t play well in the KC LOSS. Now throw in the loss of two 7 year starters , who also has pro bowl talent. Our current senior guy, rapp, was mostly a backup last year. Edward’s ,, expected to fill the experience gap, has been totally gone with injury issues. The talented rookie also. Is missing critical reps with injury and most reports from podcasters like Shout, reported he was still struggling Leaning the scheme , just as you would expect with a rookie. But Who now replaces Poyer ? Hamlin and Cam Lewis have both been on the field and looked terrible at times. Try telling me with a straight face that there will be no drop off in performance regarding the safety position , a position mcd has always stated is critical in his scheme. The losses of experience are adding up., the reality is this is a unique year and It’s no longer just about an isolated loss of Milano. Just looking at his injury is being beyond simplistic and disregards all the time these teams spend on effective communication! Our corners and nickel back have always missed some time as well , because they have more run support responsibilities in this scheme that rarely uses three LBS simultaneously on the field. Our #2 cb , also has had injury issues. Looks great while on the field , but I would bet he misses at least two games based on his past injury history. Suddenly , we are down to Elam , who may be better this year but still hasn’t earned a starting spot. Again , my point is in the ultimate team sport , our cumulative experience level keeps dripping or at least never rises to the level it had been at for years , and we have never made it to the SB, EVEN with our #2 ranked offense. Defense matters more in the.playoffs; it always has and it’s why usually the better defensive team wins SB’s. I learned that at a dinner before SB 27 in Pasadena , where Hank Stram ( previous KC sb winning coach famous for stating on NFL FILMS, keep matriculating the ball down the field , Lenny) He was a real interesting speaker but he won me over that year by predicting the upstart cowboys would dominate the bills in SB 27 based on a formula he developed that was heavy on defensive stats. Before the game I thought the game might have bypassed him , but nope , he was confident in predicting the bills would lose by more than two tds and he turned out to be right , much to my dismay! True story! So we have only touched on some of the legit concerns. . My point tho is offense can be good and win reg season games games , yet ours has many times failed to ne consistent. We have always had periods of the offense stalling , esp in the third quarter. Other than the year of the perfect game against the pats, ending with 13 seconds ( the one year I was really positive we were playing the best and peaking at the right time and we would win the SB , but then mcd took over!)., our O has commonly underperformed in the playoffs compared to their reg season success. Heck , last year we beat a bad Steelers team before our offense failed at home, needing a td ( rather than missed fg attempt) to beat KC and how did that work OUT ? So I don’t buy the statements that I don’t worry about the d, the offense will just win the games. We’ve had good reg season o, but still not even a SB appearance. Hard to win with just one functional unit playing well. I don’t even want to get into the issues with the offense. Almost a whole new receiving crew , and Knox being hurt already, and it takes time to develop timing and for the oc to know players talents enough to be creative designing plays. I trust josh but chemistry takes time , and injuries ( claypool) along with poor performance ( MVS , COOK STILL dropping passes) means this might be several games for that o to be efficient and effective. No guarantees there.! But Josh is great so they could be a surprise but I won’t believe it until I see some results and consistency with this group of wr’s. Back to the D. All these changes have to have some effect. I guess I could be wrong , but the BILLS cherished that stability and they didn’t just give out starting spots. I think we can all agree McD expects players to earn playing time, so guys are NOT starters for some performance reason. So lots of stuff going on in the back 7 , and now we also have a new defensive play caller / coordinator. It’s.a new challenge in Bobbie’s first year calling plays. Hey, even FRASIER had his play calling yanked at times so it’s just one more variable. Our DL has been consistently bad at finishing off sacks , especially against KC. WILL VON be an effective sack artist again? Epenesa has been progressing, but he’s another guy who can’t stay healthy. Groot is good , certainly not a premier pash rusher. We need more from him than just being good against the run. We have so many legitimate questions , I think is just looking thru rose colored glasses to think losing ANOTHER EXPERIENCED PRO BOWL PLAYER in not a big deal. The talent and experience considered as a WORKING UNIT that depends on effective communication to be a top unit has to be less effective with less experienced decision making on the field. That just seems like common sense. Just because we won prior games without him is irrelevant because we did not have all those other changes and losses all at one time in prior years and we mostly had healthy guys who were experienced playing together. Your point is the most important ; it’s another blow to depth and its unlikely we don’t experience more injures during the season. Pretty soon we are calling AJ BACK because there is a limitation to who you can plug in. Williams may have a bright future but it’s naive to think he could create the plays a healthy Milano did on his way to some calling him one of the best lbs in football. I get wanting to think that Josh is so good , he’ll turn new receivers into a scoring machine , but it’s a big ask against a tough schedule and I’m sorry , they have to prove they can be an effective o to me now. I guess it’s ok to say Milanos injury is not a big concern because he’s just a WLB, and that position isn’t important. Well, I saw him take over games at times , and no one I ever talked too thought Edmund’s was a better player than Milano. Saying Milanos injury means very little , everything is still the same , is just wishful thinking and it refuses to look at the loss of more experience without regard to context of where THIS TEAM IS NOW AT THIS POINT IN TIME ! If mcd can pull this off with a 11-12 win season, he could be a candidate for coach of the year! I wish we could look as Milanos injury as an isolated issue , but Bernard has said how important Matt was in helping see the d , and Milano has still seen more than Bernard and that can make a difference in getting off the field earlier on a couple of series. That spills over to getting Josh more possessions. He is an elite playmaker and even if we lost with him on the field , who knows if that loss was because of offensive turnovers , offensive periods of stalling out, and frankly many times watching the o play without urgency esp facing lower talent opponents. We can agree to disagree , but I think it’s akin to the straw that broke the camels back ,,,,,,it’ MIGHT BE too much loss of talent and experience to amount to a null effect. I wish he was there to help stabilize this d. -
Yes, you’re wrong! Those aren’t little things , it’s a bunch of crucial problem areas that need correcting or we will be facing another year hearing how things will eventually work out if we just believe in the process! lol,,,,,I’m pretty much over waiting for the process to work and I think its time the process actually produced results as opposed to hype and excuses! ( so technically, you’re not wrong!). 👍😊

That’s an interesting point. You might think they would have been better last year with same line all season. One thing I will say tho is they really have not helped take pressure off Josh as I don’t think the Bills have successfully brought in backs who thrive in short yardage and help divert attention off Josh and the passing game. Even tho cook had good overall rushing yardage , he is not great w short yardage and goes down with contact fairly easily. Motor had the same issue and so was used infrequently at the goal line with the BILLS. THIS year we again drafted another back that is on the smaller side , but may be better in short yardage. These guys are great until the lines are compacted inside the ten or short yardage like on 4th or 3 rd and short. Josh makes up for the BILLS back issues often, , but this reporter was focused on passing game epa. It seems disingenuous saying we were the number 2 offense , and only this limited play group/ stat separates us from KC’s success. I guess the reporter never saw 13 seconds , our ridiculously injured d last year , or the fact that we can’t rely on Bass to perform under pressure that contributes to winning and has kept us from competing in superbowls. In contrast , he wants to lay it all at Josh’s feet even tho he is responsible for record amounts of combined passing / rushing td’s. This is like ignoring certain data from a research study to comfirm your bias, rather than an honest evaluation. The internet is driven by he who puts out the most click bait, not by factual reporting any longer. I think its also possible teams feel like we lack power backs so don’t respect play action in those short yardage situations, common ever since mcd / beane have been here. So they can focus more on Josh in those situations , and it’s makes it harder for him to have time to pass in short yardage as they never face a true power back who would force their corners and safeties to hesitate just enough to make it feasible for our wr’s to get separation. In addition , we have had some poor play development w both daboll / Dorsey compared to coaches like Reid or Pedersen in that area. We have rarely seen wrs schemed open from the 5 in, unlike the times w Reid / pedersen who are more creative play in play development, which was critical in both winning SB’ s. Pretty easy to complete passes when you have someone running free with great play design. Now we will see how Brady is with having control of the o for a FULL off season., and see if he is more creative than his predecessors. I think your point about the o line factors in, yet it’s hard to believe that stat is solely related to line play and seems more multifactorial. Just as I don’t think it’s fair to say “ Josh must figure it out” , I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s just poor line play. I think it’s poor play development, in addition to the Bills never having backs that demand respect in short yardage ( cook , motor , aging backs like gore/ Murray who seemed to always get stuffed even if the line didn’t get pushed back; these backs never were great at gaining after contact , with the latter two falling with the Bills because they were ineffective at the end of their careers. They visibly got worse as the year progressed. Most teams don’t seem to struggle like the Bills do ( I wil say this epa stat does fit with what our eyes have seen during the mcd regime) as they somehow develop effective short yardage backs and I think that threat helps open up wr separation. How many other teams ask their qbs to be the most significant run threat in addition to assessing coverages from the five in, all while their oc’s set up their qb to be in SHOTGUN formation, adding to the ineffectiveness of the backs in short yardage / goal line situations How many other teams do we see use shotgun draws from the 3 for two downs, then expect their qb to be great in an obvious passing situation ? This reporter has not really watched 3 years of BILLS football like he claims ! 😂. On a side note , it’s terrible seeing Milano require surgery again , and a huge emotional blow and leadership loss in a year already challenging with so many critical player changes on D, I love his intensity and he reminded me of how TALLEY always seemed to come up big at critical times. In 2021, during peak panendemic time , I was lucky enough, and shocked that Milano’s then fiancé came up and introduced herself to me in a Target in Jax beach because I was wearing a BILLS HAT! She was really kind , and we chatted for about 15 min in the store. She described MATT as a very quiet , intelligent , non-extravagant guy who loved reading whenever he had time. She was on her way to meet him in Tampa before he was headed to camp Great memory for me , ending with us getting a pic of each other ; she got mine only to prove to Matt there are Bills fans wherever she goes because he had said he rarely sees people in Bills gear outside Buffalo. It’s really even more heartbreaking for me now seeing them going through this in consecutive years, as it seems they are a great couple/ great people and it’s always hard seeing young , kind , good people facing difficult times in life. Last year that was a very bad fracture , involving the tibial plateau and cartilage in the joint. That’s a pretty challenging fracture to return to walking normally from, let alone returning to pro football!. It’s possible he might recover from this biceps tear enough to play late in the season and that could be a huge emotional lift for the team. I hope he just returns to good heath and I hope we haven’t seen the last of him as a Bill. Just another unlucky setback that I think could make the D a legit limiting factor this year , rather than our O’s epa from 3 yards out ! Here’s hoping to see a SB run that makes this reporter spend all off season next year looking for a different obscure stat explaining why KC didn’t 3 peat! 😁👍

Its a new rule , so knowing how snake bitten this franchise is in its history, and our great history of special teams ace coaches ( outside of dehaven whom I always liked) , I am sure we will be the first team to give up something like home run throwback while in this new formation ! Don’t ask me how it will happen or to explain it , as it will be a “ first time “ occurrence requiring a rule adjustment being made the following season to correct some injustice to the Bills, resulting in a heartbreaking loss sometime during the season ! OR , IT COULD BE SOMETHING LIKE THIS: I’m sure it will somehow involve.the inert 12 th man on the field , who forgets to leave the field , and is mesmerized watching Bass hit a towering kick that results in a fumble , the Bills recover to return for the winning td as they had been trailing by 5 , only to be negated because our holder , in this case the Bills actual 12 th man rather than the metaphorical 12th man in the stands, stopped 2 yards short of the sideline so he could see the action better being in front Of all those other guys watching on the sideline! We are forced to re-kick it and because the kicking team is now tired , gives up a 80 yard td on a reverse , adding insult to injury! Mcd blames it on miscommunication as he personally told someone to tell the 12 th guy to walk quickly off the field and avoid running so said 12 th man wouldn’t trip , fall, and be penalized! Yep, you know it’s coming ; we will be the first team victimized by this new formation in a real game , kind of like the chiefs player who kneeled down in the end zone , while pulling the ball back from the field of play only to be called for a safety on review triggered by Pedersen last night ! That was classic and not yet expected by the great iq.’s who copied the xfl/ufl for this great new addition! When you’re a multi billion dollar league now copying two prior failed leagues for innovations,,,what possibly could go wrong!? 😑 GO BILLS!

Just quit the season. That performance was pathetic
DrPJax replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just wondering,,,,based on what exactly? O line w issues . We scored two fg ‘s today and no drives were sustained. Khalil looks good as does Samuel but other than them, who exactly looked good TODAY ? Who made plays today , exactly, that shows we will be just fine? I mean , sure there is potential , but what happened to shavers today who we have heard so much positive about from mcd? Coleman is a ROOKIE, and yes talented , but most rookies take a couple of years to adjust. The run game also looked really bad and it’s not like we havn’t seen the run game struggle before with sporadic success from COOK ( who has fumbled at times and is still dropping passes in 7 on 7 in camp) behind a line that had a prior full season together. Now with two new adjustments, who Knows how the o line will develop, as line chemistry is a fickle thing and today was as bad blocking as I have seen in a while , and it’s not like the Bears are SB contenders. If you can’t at least agree with that simple point , you’re being disingenuous. Hey, you may be right ! All I am asking is what exactly TODAY LEAD TO YOUR confidence that this group of journeymen , rookies , and inexperienced guys playing in a NEW SYSTEM, UNDER A OC WITH MIXED RESULTS IN THE LEAGUE, behind a juggled o line we have never seen in live action before today, leads you to be confident we will be just fine? Have you watched any other preseason games yet? This is now the 5 th I have watched. For comparison , Stroud took the Texans for a to Tank on a beautiful 39 yard rope between 3 defenders on their first or second possession. Plus besides tank , they have woods ( yep , prior bill) , Nico Collin’s, DIGGS, and good tight ends, and a group of backs including Joe mixon from cincy. I would take that over our wr corp AT THIS POINT. Maybe later we will be the better group , but so far the REALITY is we lack experience and chemistry. Both their o and d lines were really effective in the short time they played. Our o line was porous and we gave up 33 points at home to the bears ! NO OTHER team I watched was blown out in their game; I what , other than HYPE, offered proof we will be fine? I’m not asking for a guess or opinion, what factually says we will be fine watching today’s game? 😊. Man , I’m not trying to be an a$$, I just am asking about reality. . Even the Vikings with a Michigan rookie qb have put up 21 points on the raiders already! We never got close to looking like a team that is an offensive juggernaut! Yes we didn’t game plan but neither did the bears who put up 33! I know it’s preseason , but let’s be real, , we all know quality play when we see it and we all know terrible play as well ( Carolina may have looked as bad as the bills today , but they are a new staff starting to build, not a staff whose process has been in place 7 years with a unicorn franchise qb!). Isn’t it fair to expect more from a seasoned staff than the penalty filled mess they put out today as professionals? We should not be in denial and admit that performance, preseason or not, was encouraging today . How can you say the wr corp will be ok wit issues like claypool being mia and MVS continuing to drop passes showing why a good proven SB winner easily let him go even after some good plays in the SB? What if our tight ends have any injuries ( Dawson is out games every year ) , and who backs up Kalil or Samuel if they miss a game or two ? Hey , maybe next week they look amazing and really do look like theybcan produce. ! I hope so , but now it’s Prove it to me time ; I don’t want to hear hype as that time is gone. The jags / chiefs are just starting ; maybe check it out and let’s compare these teams to ours as we play both soon so it offers a good comparison ! ( hey Jax slrady drove to a td on their first possession). I didn’t mean to attack or pick on you , it’s just a recurrent theme of excuses today and let’s see if other teams look as bad in “preseason “. ! 😊. Best wishes! Hope next week is much better for the BILLS! -
Yeah buddy, may be true. You were there for those years and teams as I was. It was really the greatest time to be a bills fan and a great time for the NFL; real hitting, real rivalries when guys never helped the other teams guys up or mutually drool over each other post games , and there was no pc mandating policies with cancel culture prohibiting people from just sharing different ideas or opinions. It was ok to differ in ideas but still be friends in those days. Marv may not have won a title but he was a gentleman, a scholar, classy, and treated men as men. He managed to keep a team loaded with HUGE EGOS playing together for those 4 great Super Bowl run years. At least he got to the Super Bowl , even with guys like Dickerson , and honestly being present for 27/28, IMO it was more the players choking in those games with terrible turnovers, capped by Thurmans fumble to open the second half of 28 and then sulking along with his not quite showing up after SB 25. There was no “13 second” type coaching blunder that stands out like we have seen w this regime. It was failed execution like wide right that doomed that great 90’s HOF collection of Bills, whereas I think most see coaching failures as the main limiting factor in Allen’s time so far. Just my biased opinion , as it was a time filled with more comebacks , more great players making plays while allowed to be individuals , compared to the process being the ultimate focus. I know you didn’t in any way say anything other than your opinion about Marv, with nothing about mcd ; I just compared the two given it is the time of arguably the two greatest franchise qb’ s in Bills history. I really like mcd / beane , but I’m watching a second year staff on the Texans put together a pretty impressive amount of talent around Stroud , and I bet they do more earlierin their tenure than what we managed to do to help Allen succeed in his second year. That game will be a tough win for the BILLS this year; they have a pretty impressive wr corp and Stroud is much more impressive as a pro than I expected being a Bucks fan since sitting in a game at the shoe as a 10 year old kid. I can’t see anyone else but mcd as the Bills coach right now , just saying he hasn’t matched Marv ‘s level of success despite having a more talented franchise qb. Marv will always be my fav Bills coach ; we always hear people repeating him and his quotes while mcd is the master of the process and coach speak almost as bad as that famous Pats jerk. Mcd just does it with a smile and more politely! Marv was always worth a listen, and that’s rare these days. As a side note , I’m watching preseason games while dvring the Olympics , lol, and wow the NFL has managed to finally make a change that is just atrocious and one more step toward ruining or.making the game unrecognizable with the terrible kick off changes. It’s ridiculous and just looks like a mess. I hope it’s not permanent, as there won’t be any exciting returns w this crazy format. I also noticed diggs all smiles and kissing strouds butt on the sideline, just like his 1 st year in B LO. DIGGS, DELL , COLLINS , WOODS looks formidable and add Joe mixon and some other good backs and the Texans o could be potent. Best wishes. Go BILLS!

Only one way to go after flaming out part way thru a season and getting canned by a guy who made you qb coach In charge of a true unicorn , certain HOF athlete with intelligence, a cannon for an arm , and legs of a gazelle! DOWN ! He will only get worse with that ownership group and a qb who is more concerned with getting relief from his trigger points , than actually pulling the trigger in one of the more snakebitten franchises than BUFFALO , and even managed to leave the league a couple of seasons and have never even made it to a superbowl , let alone make it to 4 straight despite the losses! Yeah , he has a bright future that’s going to require shades! He and Watson should have nothing but great success! All I can say is time to invest in Microsoft tablets cuz with Watson and Dorsey together they will be the antithesis of the cardiac kids and I foresee at least two tablets a game bouncing off all the crap in Lake Erie. Go brownies

How about something simple and relevant: Super Bowl MVP ? ✌️
-
I am betting you don’t play professional contact football for a living. Plus there are multiple possible causes which require investigation. It could be a cardiac lesion , like a valvular issue or unclosed connection between chambers of the heart not detected before ( remember teddy brushci ?). I didn’t see any detail of exactly where he clots were or how they presented clinically. Those factors determine treatment and prognosis. If it’s a simple dvt in a leg , then it’s very straightforward, yet still affects his availability to play for a. Minimum period of at least three months. I didn’t see an exact diagnosis or cause given and this is a professional athlete where head injuries are not uncommon and obviously bleeding into the closed cranial space can be disastrous while on anti coagulation. Forgive me if the exact diagnosis was stated and I missed it , which determines therapy. Until that is know there is no way to know prognosis or treatment length , but it’s pretty obvious this is a POSSIBLE career altering situation for a professional football player. if someone knows the exact underlying diagnosis causing he clotting and any co-morbidities or lack thereof present , only then can they provide any useful/ trustworthy information regarding return to play prognosticators. Hope it’s a simple, straightforward cause and he returns in time to safely resume his career.

I believe all drones are now required to be equipped with individual ID modules ( i own a DJI mini , below 250 gms and new laws require id transmission which is public info and its possible to walk right up to a drone user by using a well publicized app; hence drone owners are fearful of attacks from those not aware the air space is regulated by the FAA only. It’s relatively New legislation that was just recently activated after taking a couple years to pass ) , so the days of drones flying incognito are gone. The poster with his commercial license can prob verify this. Certainly , guys are trying things to get around this law., but anyone using drones to make income , even just posting on a YouTube channel , must be licensed and follow the required ID transmission or face large fines if caught and YouTube has lots of examples of drone users being heavily fined for noncompliance. It’s similar to medical board disciplinary action, ignorance is not an excuse. It has always been against the law to fly over stadiums in use, crowds, traffic etc. The less than 250 gm drones are fitted with 4k resolution cameras, and I’m not sure , but have not seen drones that small and low price range with great telephoto lenses , which would be the only way to film all 22 type film , as the operator would have to be no where close to being over a crowd like game or practice time. Plus if you modify those drones at all , they almost always then weigh more than 250 gm , and for example, if it goes down and local police confiscate and weigh it , it doesn’t matter that it originally was under 250 gms as they go by current weight and if the operator isn’t fully licensed, drone registered properly with the FAA, and now have the new ID transmission, the operator is in serious trouble. It has become really hard to just fly an unregistered drone as a simple hobby with all the regulation and all the KARENS out there causing everyone of spying on them and invading their privacy. It just seems weird or hard to believe this is some really prevalent issue for the NFL. The NFL must be experiencing some other issue , or facing enough large commercial drone operator numbers who would have the sophisticated cameras to capture all 22 type data from far away or just breaking existing laws to film, to be lobbying (buying senators) for additional regulation. Apparently billions of revenue just isn’t enough , and they will chase any $! With belicheck out of the league , it’s hard to fathom teams would be that desperate to be using drones illegally in large quantities just to gain an edge. This league and its owners are progressively getting more paranoid! With all the public paranoia, i rarely fly my DJI mini any longer; just not worth the hassle and if not being compliant with all the laws, you can now face fines of several thousand dollars. Local laws can already control where it is legal TO LAUNCH FROM, thus over stepping FAA air space control, so this just seems like classic NFL overreaction.

Ever heard of something called the franchise tag? Ridiculous premise to begin with, but Allen is either playing for the bills in that time frame, or he’s joining the pga tour.

Maybe we will have another Kurt Schultz , but quicker , roaming back there. I think that was Kurt’s number, but it’s been a while and I’m much older. Heck i would rather trade claypool for Burks now , certainly not Elam. I just don’t think people are capable of suddenly not being narcissists ( if it quacks, its probably a duck; where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire; if you hear hoofbeats and turn around, it’s usually a horse and not a zebra; you get the idea) after demonstrating in several situations that is his character even when he did have some success. I know its probably low risk, i doubt he makes the final roster , but beane just dropped 31 mil to rid the team of a guy who essentially got dumped from 2 franchises now after very good , consistent production. So why even flirt with a guy who pissed away multiple chances because no matter what he does in preseason , how could you ever really trust him in the regular season ? This type of decision making is another example of beane’s flawed roster building that has kept the current era at reaching only 1 AFC Championship. Some of his moves just lack common sense. Hey, POLIAN drafted at the bottom of the 1st rd. For several years , but they went to 4 straight SB’s before they had to turn over the roster. Why should BILLS faithful be so much more patient now; Allen is more talented than JIMBO ever was, yet the beane rosters so far wont be sending multiple guys to the HOF like polian managed. Beane is a class act , love the guy as a great rep of the BILLS. But this claypool thing , taking another international project that is unlikely to ever make the o-line, having mahomes ,worthy, and the punt god ( all the talking heads bring this stuff up immediately, so its not just me being histrionic) all being KC gifts tied to buffalo , become more unforgivable or questionable of his competency the longer this team can’t even get to a SB while having a talented franchise qb. Allen is his saving grace, but thinking he can help Allen win with support like claypool almost negates the Allen pick. So , yep , i would rather take a shot on burks than letting claypool waste reps, and i hope Elam might finally flip the switch. Still, always hoping for the best, but this looks like a 9-10 win season type of thing at best as i think the fins & jests both will be improved and the schedule looks pretty unforgiving.

Here is a simple minded question. If kc was going to get worthy regardless, why would they move up and be willing to give away draft capital just to move 4 spots when no matter what , as you so strongly say, there was no way anyone else might want him and it was inevitable he was going to kc ? Just to play mind games w mcd /beane again? Appears they were concerned another team might want him, or maybe we had some other offers? It’s a fair question, and just because someone has a diff opinion than your speculation, does not justify name calling like weak, simple minded, or just pathetic. Something made them move up right?. Not just for giggles. / Isn’t it bad enough after each blown loss to the chefs, even a home playoff loss now as they got yet another Lombardi , that the press and fans always remind people how mahomes got to kc ? He will always be tied to mcd/ white and so far ALLEN’s Bills have 0 meaningful playoff wins over mahomes/ KC! ZERO. And , we are regressing in terms of playoff advancement. Now, PERHAPS. we can also be reminded we helped them get a guy faster than hill ( who already helped defeat us once in the playoffs as mcd had no answers to control him under Reid in route to a prior SB) , while our own wr corp currently remains the subject of ridicule as we absorb 31 mil in dead cap from another great beane deal ( like Von and the dt from Carolina). Typical more Billsy lore ! But why not avoid the superior air snide comments, passive aggressive language , which is very unbecoming. It’s ok to have other viewpoints rather than only from those that are blessed with flawless , SPECULATIVE ( forgive me if this is Brandon) knowledge. Relax , no one on here is employed by the bills w exclusive insider knowledge or able to foresee the future. The chiefs traded up for a reason , so they didn’t know worthy was theirs one way or another. Another chiefs player now linked to “ using the Bills”. Wonder why some franchises still have ZERO Lombardi trophies after 55 years, and others jusr keep progressing and adapting. Some have vision and don’t draft/ play “ not to lose”. Just an opinion, not dogma! ‘

Will always love the BILLS , esp the 90’s teams and their greatness, but imho the final 4 is more pure athletic joy to watch over the much hyped , but often predictable, often less competitive Sb! For one thing tonight’s national anthem was performed beautifully , flawlessly , with no improvised runs or interpretation. Done by a Native American who moved the crowd to chant USA, USA with no ongoing war , just moved by her performance which was fabulous and has replaced Whitney’s rendition imo ,{albeit it was still supporting the USA at a time of war}. Just my opinion , but thats how you show pride in your country with no political agenda. If that didn’t move you , maybe you are either very jaded or over medicated. The quality of competition in march madness has been really good, and the meaning to each player , some of whom will never become pros , leads to the exhibition of passion pro sports fails to reach at this point. Now foes are just buddies, who share commercials, may even be teammates the next season, plus they are all highly paid and they know there is always next year because there is no eligibility limit other than your teams needs / cap limits. However, there are 31 other chances to catch on. The NFL is a mans sport , and nothing can match the youthful exuberance that we all Lose with time and experience. I loved the nfl/bills so much in my 20’s that iwent to two superbowls. Great experiences i was so happy to attend; yet now it is such a corporate , highly over priced event that there is no longer any amount of money you could pay me to be treated as nothing more than a commodity by a multibillion dollar business who still begs for taxpayors monies while holding communities hostage threatening to move their franchises despite years of faithful support. That leads to the actual players we are supposed to be fans of, enjoy their unique talents. Some live up to that lofty expectation and i salute those who somehow retain their humility. But then we are exposed to many criminals, many with children by several “baby-mommas” as if some badge of honor, and of course , the narcissists who speak about teamwork but whose actions prove they are only about their personal gains and are really not about anything but their “ bag”. It’s just not as prevalent in college and they still play for each other. enjoying possibly their only chance to win a championship. It’s a business still, but not as in your face as ‘THE SHIELD” is. Also , basketball is played much the same as it was in the 70’s , other than held balls and the 3 point line. Try and keep up with pro football , and the myriad of changes makes it hard to grasp each year It’s still way too often decided by too many part time refs and waiting literally on minutes for replay to still come back with not enough evidence or even frankly still wrong. Basketball doesn’t suffer from all the delays between plays , reviews, innumerable commercials . Rare doe it have Overhyped ,overextended halftimes. It’s still a faster paced game. And never tell me about so called football experts, its plethora of podcasters that talk like they know more than regular fans, or all the draftniks who spend hours evaluation tons of mock drafts.. they are rarely even close and do all that wasted “film time” , as only 4-5 0f drafted players from each time will even see plating time. Yeah tell me experts have validity when almost 0 0f them predicted Diggs being traded. Actually criticizing any other opinion sarcastically “because there was no way with that cap hit”! It’s just proof , experts are no more than guessing amateurs and spending money on their “opinions” is just akin to scams. If you can’t predict a major trade like Diggs , how far off must your other advice be ? But my main point still comes down to which event do you enjoy more? The SB , with its multimillion dollar athletes who will do the same all over again next year , with little on the line for them personally as most have already made their fortunes , or the excitement of march madness who didn’t have 2 anthems sung to please its corporate crowd., and is still the same sport we basically all have played. I love the BILLS , but i really don’t care about the offseason that much. Because time after time , the season isn’t won until it actually counts. The SB is good, most time anti climatic, but march madness and the final 4 is still ascending. Give me a BILLS win and i might feel different,,,,but 55 years is a lot to ask! Still, a great anthem tonight! Great game tonight!

Just some random thoughts but also based on being a fan since ‘63 1) this proves you have a small window og given talent / leadership to be a viable sb contender. This staff squandered having Allen, Diggs, poyer, Hyde,Morse ,Edmund’s,white, shady . Kyle Willian’s ,,Milano, as a core group by bungling leads in games they easily should have won. Diggs was added to be the final piece , so it’s understandable his frustration grew as kc’s Talents under Reid kept thriving. 2) this was a rigid process , defensively predominately oriented , drafted by beane as directed by mcd , despite heving a uniquely talrnted qb, who at one point was prohibited from running , contributing to a 6-6 record /hole. And firing og the oc and creating more tornoile. O line coaches Also were turned over 2x with teller let go and positions switched around. More unrest. Feliciono gone w more turmoil. In addition . Two barely avg backs with motor / moss supposed to be adequate but neither reached. Their potential under changing oc’s or line coaches as both did better w other teams , but neither were worthy of 3rd round picks. 3) terrible communication , poor delegation of dutities. Need i say more than 13 seconds,,,hail Murray , cam blowing the coverage in monnisota,,the kicker not knowing to Squibb kick,,,,the miscommunication between Frazier , the special teams coach etc resulting in mcd taking over d calls at points. It’s ridiculous to see in a pro staff. 4). Things go so bad on o , the oc is fired and a prior fired oc takes over. Suddenly Diggs seems less involved/interested as the team involves backs more,,,Diggs id running bubble screens. Separates less. , drip rate goes up. Kincaid involved more yet new contract Knox almost vanishes. Our two fin f/a’s are basically worthless. There is no identity to this offense. The once stable o line is broken apart w more gone ,,and our stable guard switched to center now trade our captain wide receiver and stable players with leadership like Morse and this team really doesn’t look like as the potential that we’re being told that it would. It looks like the same type of loss of talent that Jacksonville went through when they were building their new stadium with their PSL‘s as well and was just a holdover until they could fill the talent of the team up with draft choices it just seems like this could very well. Be a down season for the team and, given the record of this coaching staff and all the talent they had yet. All the failures that they experienced. I just don’t think it adds to any confidence that there’s going to be anything good coming up within the short future other than a new stadium coming about. 'There’s going to be a lot of new players on the team and also a lot of new coaches and so I think this is really gonna be a rebuilding year despite what everyone feels. That’s not always a bad thing as it happens with every team but from listening to McDermott talk, that’s not what he’s trying to sell. There’s just been too much experience and leadership lost on this team to expect it to be the same as it has been the past 2 to 3 years. It’s been seven years with McDermott and being in we have one AFC championship game to show for and I really think this team under this current coach and manager May reach their pinnacle. The old 90s teams that did so well had a lot of stability within them and that just doesn’t seem to be the case with this current regime. It’s great that they have a fantastic quarterback to build around with Josh but on the other hand, it almost seems like they’re wasting a great portion of his career and this current off-season Has really been almost a complete restructuring of the team and somewhat unexpected. I really think they’re setting them salsa for when the new stadium opens and unless Dermot pulls off some type of incredible year, I really think he might not be around for that time as good as he is, I just don’t think he has what it takes , leave the team to Lombardi. He’s a great guy, but I don’t think he’s a great Gameday coach and I think it’s time to start looking for someone who can maximize joshes unique talents. Just a few thoughts. Hope I’m wrong but on the other hand, something is wrong with this clubhouse and , I’m not sure there’s gonna be any transparency about what’s actually going on. Wishing for the best, but I think there’s just too many holes and too much youth going on and too much changing and turmoil again and the coaching staff and I don’t think they really have an identity and I’m not a big person of trust regarding Brady being able to bring out the best in the office We’ll see this is poor play, and production over the past two seasons, especially the end of the season I think is indicative of something and it may come down to rigidness of the process of the coach and I think a time this year will help sort this out. I just am a little pessimistic about the outcome of this year and really see it as a almost full rebuilding here.

Yep , I would say that’s as well. The jags always give the bills issues and are above.500 against them I believe. Funny how bills homies are so ready to be critical of other teams receiving corps , yet we suffered watching a season with the two fa’s from the fins do essentially nothing, Knox has continued to be an enigma, our wr 1 falling of in productivity drastically during the second halves of the 2 preceding seasons, our great hands rb continuing to drop wide open passes and have fumble issues. Plus , guys w blinders on forget the game that Jax easily beat our bills last year as even the now released zay jones even caught a TD during that game. Just saying , having been a bills fan my whole life , but at the same time having been an original jags season ticket holder to support the community and Jax’s bid to stay an NFL site to enhance the cities financial development , I’ve had to watch the jags beat the bills in playoff games ( ending Kelly’s career etc) and beat the bills even as the jags had inferior talent and it’s been a sad experience too often over the years. Better watch what you wish for as the bills really are in no position to criticize any receiving corp given the WRs beane has supported or, better to say failed to support Josh with at least up until this point. Plus remember Gabe was here as Dorsey misused most players and had to be fired. All I am suggesting is pedersen is a good hc/oc (he does have a Lombardi the bills franchise lacks ) , and has proven he can outcoach McDermott head to head , so GABE MAY indeed have untapped potential. Time will tell and should only be judged going forward as the past means nothing now. Sadly, one of my fav BILLS , Morse , has also added in JAX , and will add a lot of intelligence and stability to bolster one of the jags weaknesses. Really loved Morse as a BILL; guy was well spoken , humble, great leader and was good for josh who i think will also miss Morse. Have to admit these moves make Jax a more likeable team to follow locally even tho they are no where close to my BILLS fandom; it at least shows the owner is finally trying to win and thats been hard to believe with all the prior terrible squads they have fielded in the past. Jax is a small town except geographically, and many football guys live in the very wealthy ponte Vedra beach area or go to the TPC at sawgrass or the LODGE beach club in ponte vedra. I don’t live in those really wealthy areas but just in a non gated part of ponte vedra since ‘85 , and there is only one TARGET ( hey there are really great stores in the open mall area , but for some reason Targets still draws many high income shoppers. I know this having seen them but also from talks with cvs pharmacists in target who have shared w me ) in the area that surprisingly draws lots of people from those gated areas. ( funny, i posted when i met and had a great 15 min visit in that target with then Milano fiancé , now wife, as while traveling thru the area she came up to me as i was wearing a bills hat !). So , here’s hoping i get a chance to possibly run into Morse or Gabe out shopping and get a chance to talk a little BILLS football with them! Hate that they are no longer BILLS , but not sad they are now part of the city / community! Anyhow , just saying bills fans should temper their criticism of GABE/morse/ Jax , until they see the actual product and be honest that right at this moment , our wr corp is a big question mark and who knows how good any bills wr is given the misuse by the past oc’s. I think a case could be made GABE could be more productive in the future than our prior MLB Edmunds will be as a bear going forward. Again , time will tell, but as a BILLS fan, not looking forward to playing Jax next year as we often play poorly against them and they have already added 5 significant new starters via free agency; GABE might thrive on the jags roster as pedersen might get more out of him.

Wow , at least his 3rd? It’s a terrible disease , and i believe we all make mistakes and deserve second chances. However, i also believe like any other non-terminal ( at least urgently non-terminal) illness , you have the ability to make choices and only you are responsible for the ultimate outcome when it comes to choosing to save your life or continuing to harm yourself and others. Fame and money are usually terrible in this situation and that appears to be adding fuel to this flame. All i would say now is this person shows no accountability or ability to learn from the past and hopefully he will be taken off the streets before he kill’s someone. Here’s hoping he has some judge who allows this creep to avoid temptation and provides him with a nice solitary cell to watch the Super Bowl from. This is no time for fame, celebrity, or money to be chosen over public safety. This guy, Mahomes or Maauto , has wasted his get out of jail freebies and i hope he never drives again and misses at least this performance by his son at this important time in Patricks life. It seems the consequences haven’t been steep enough yet ; let’s hope something can get thru to the guy. Go 49er’s; never thought i could dislike a team more than the compukes, but KC and Mahomes have doubled down and the entitlement is ridiculous. Thanks to all the BILLS players who basically underperformed and choked away another year where we are subjected to more KC BS! (Go bills)

What will you do when the Bills win the Super Bowl?
DrPJax replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably roll over in my grave because I’ve followed them since ‘63, gone to two losing SB EFFORTS (27/28) , suffered every named loss like MSM/13 SECONDS/WIDE RIGHT X2! Now with the best QB in franchise history, we have a perpetually mistake prone / puckering HC who hasn’t managed 1 SB APPEARANCE ( while a qb said coach passed on has now attended 6 afc championships and his 5th SB, if my numbers are correct; you get the idea), coupled with a GM who has missed on the majority of his FA swings while many of his draft picks ( other than Allen / white /milano/ Oliver and perhaps Kincaid /shakir ) are either elsewhere or underperforming to a point that he has to keep bringing in FA’s like ford/lenny etc to just be practice squad fodder. He finally may have hit on a rb (great hands?) on his 3rd attempt while his prior two had more success elsewhere. His main saving grace, choosing ALLEN, is neutered by so far having surrounded him with a receiving corp known for one of the highest drop rates in the NFL and every year he promises tO “add speed” and we heard that same thing once again after a divisional playoff exit two years in a row on our home field. This loss was even more humiliating as all BILLS fans begged for Mahomes to finally come to Buffalo , and he left laughing with his celebrity entourage! 7 years of the process and promises! So 58 years of occasional great football, some great HOF players , and maybe a rising star. But mostly famously named losses and creative new ways to cause heartbreak for a great fan base worthy of the MAFIA name! Seems appropriate to once again talk about what you will do if they win a SB on GROUNDHOG DAY , because we should be good at fantasizing after 58 years! (Just counting years the SB was played). Should they shockingly win one while I’m alive, as like many vets, I’m much closer to the ending than the beginning, i will have a dirty martini while sitting in the same seat i watched wide right 1 happen while i watch highlights of the parade in BUFFALO and shed a few tears wishing i could be there ! If they win much later , i will request a sponge bath from the hottest nursing assistant in assisted living! If it happens later than that , will have my headstone engraved , His love for patients was only second to his patience for the BILLS. lol,,,hope they fool me and win one soon with its own moniker so people never forget.! Go bills! 0 -
JUST like he caught all the prior deep balls? Did you forget two games where he and Josh “ were not on the same page”? Come on , that’s total denial of a huge issue regarding the lack of talent ,AND PRODUCTION, that plagued this wr crew all season. Shakir and Kincaid were the only consistent , reliable targets for josh this season. Every other receiver , Diggs , Knox, cook , sherfield , etc all had multiple drops and lacked consistent production , and Davis was the poster child for inconsistency going multiple games with 0 receptions. So to expect him to have produced now , when his peak was one game two years ago, is pure fantasy and not based on his current level of production. Could he have been better than sherfield ,,,maybe ,,,but there is no way you can say that with any certainty and i bet the front office will see it the same way when they let him walk. He is another motor, moss, boogie, Edmund’s type of player you can replace as we’ve easily seen , and is overrated compared to other teams receivers such as the packers younger wr corp. This team needs to quit holding on to mediocre talent while wasting a rare franchise QB’s prime years because we all know how rare it is to actually land that important piece in the draft.
