  1. Fractures with ligament injury depending on fracture location, are very common occurrences. It is obviously the worst scenario as long as there was no vascular injury in addition. Had that been the case he would have been hospitalized immediately , and I don’t know, but he was most likely admitted given the need for fracture stabilization and need to assess risk of travel etc, but that doesn’t imply vascular, Limb threatening injury from the start. Will know more prognostically once we know type of fracture and mri results. It wii certainly complicate recovery if ligament tears /meniscal damage is present. It appeared to be a twisting injury on the lone, very brief view i saw and that raises the possibility of a twisting fibular fracture that could involve the knee commonly, and doesn’t mean there was a more extensive tibial / tibial plateau injury necessarily. When they said his entire lower leg was in an air cast, i immediately thought of the possibility of the smaller , fibular fracture being present because in cases of knee involvement alone , you don’t have to also air cast the ankle like you do with fibular fractures. But just speculating until formal reports are out. I think given the time frame , depending on joint involvement or ligament damage , the recovery could extend to delay him playing early next year , but if there is no vascular compromise , I don’t see why it would be career threatening. On the other hand , this is unlikely , but IF it’s solely a fracture with no ligament or meniscal damage, there could be a chance to return this year. Unlikely but not impossible. The real risk with these traumas tho is vascular injury and hopefully that didn’t occur. Certainly is in a great place for medical care, so t’s amd p’s sent to him and his wife ,Ashlyn, who is a really sweet person. Terrible loss for a really good guy by all accounts. Losing he and white in back to back weeks is approaching the emotional trauma surrounding Hamlins experience last year; just hard to believe.
  2. Yep but BURROW IS BACK, and he looked great with chase today. On the other end of the spectrum, the Milano loss is season long ,and is devastating to lose such a playmaker at a position of relative inexperience. . He is the one guy with pro bowl skills that is virtually impossible to replace in season. Really depressing loss all around today. Will hear the next guy up cliche stuff,,,,but there is no next Milano waiting out there to just step in, unless mcd pulls out a sensational season of development. I wouldn’t put it out of the reach of mcd tho. If this o can somehow produce despite Dorsey, we could still stay in the majority of games. Just not sure that will happen after watching the o struggle almost the entire game today. Amazing to watch a player / offense develop in San Fran (Purdy) while seeing dorsey sink against a very mediocre jag team today. You are prob right about the chiefs , but I wouldn’t rule out the bengals after today, while we are looking at something akin to the madden curse in full effect. Hard to blame on LONDON tho as jags come out shining , 2-0 there after a poor start and look very healthy coming out. Was just a bunch of regular football injuries that occur yearly in the NFL regardless of location, but it sure has been a complete 180 since the high of a week ago.
  3. Agree. This guy has great hands and under someone like Reid , would probably be flourishing. I was always a Frazier critic , always very unimpressed with the Edmunds project and feel very vindicated with both changes this year. Dorsey is the same to the offense as Frazier was in limiting the top end of the D, mark my words after seeing patterns now developing. Have to admit tho i think Kincaid is a little “ softer “ than i expected after hearing all the overly glowing reports from the reporters/ content creators covering the Bills. May need a year to adjust to the physicality of the nfl. Was disappointed to see him not fight thru a tackle early in the game on third down and was driven out a yard short resulting in another 3 and out as the game was beginning. If you cant drive thru or break that db tackle , then how bout being smart enough to run the route to be beyond the sticks to begin with? Many times they have run short , underneath routes with him and last week was his most successful converting those to first downs. Really looks to need some time to develop, but that was slightly unexpected after hearing all the post draft hype. I still cant help but feel tho that he is being hindered, under utilized by Dorsey , and after seeing Dorsey fall flat once again today, i am having an increasingly hard time seeing a vision of Dorsey leading this O to at one time be consistent and on the other hand believing he wont be out coached in a one loss and done playoff scenario. He has games where he cant adjust to adversity in game , only to look better the next week. Not sure that is a recipe to success in the hunt for a Lombardi, and he may hang on with the bills much like Frazier as I don’t see him being some sought after HC prospect while not advancing with a talent like Allen. All the homers will be coming for me on here as they can never handle an objective opinion, but let’s see who is right as time passes. I would be happy to be wrong , and want to be regarding this as it’s a win-win scenario,; just not impressed when these bad offensive output games keep occurring at random intervals as DORSEY has these unexplainable clunkers. It really has a feeling of deja vu to me like FRAZIER on the o side as i watch many examples of more creative play calling and schemes all across the league. Bills have poor timing in developing an unproven OC in the prime years of a SB chase with a true franchise Qb.
  4. Hello from Jax. Rough game today and rougher being a bills fan down here. Just wanted to say hey as i miss Toledo. Spent great years there in med school and did my residency at ST V’s/ MERCY/TOLEDO /FLOWER hospitals. I am 66 now , had a great 40 plus year career thanks to the under rated and great hospitals in that area. Was a great city too with nice parks / nightlife as i was in my mid 20’s! These injuries are to game changing type guys. Not possible to just find the same caliber to plug and play. Like last year, this might be too much to overcome. The bengals looked bad until today as BURROWS looked good today. Doesn’t look like luck is on the bills side once again; maybe there is something to the madden curse given these last two weeks. Best wishes, enjoy the fall weather we just don’t get much of here in Jax fl!
  5. I agree about the critical drops, where if the big salary guys finally make some plays above what are routine plays, plays you see other teams stars making at big times, ( watch the chiefs guys making plays for mahomes) this team could consistently control their own fate in games. We just don’t see that happen on any consistent basis. Also, after Dorsey/Allen combined for that bad JETS game , it looked like they were on their way only to revert back to many poor decisions. Despite all the success w josh under center , they went back to runs out of the shotgun and many times faced second downs with long yardage. Again, only 10 runs or so today after 3 games of over 20 attempts and it’s head scratching why they keep three good backs active yet couldn’t effectively use them today. Dorseys play calling was uninspired, and i cant give JOSH a full pass when he at times seems situationally unaware where he refused to just run for what looked like easy to get 1st downs and threw risky passes again. Long gains/ times getting in jags territory were negated and ended up with no points. Dorsey /Allen failed to adjust early enough to the jags taking away their short passing game, or change tempo until it was desperate and was a huge hole. By then , the d was breaking down under the pressure, giving up time consuming possessions as the injuries kept mounting. Watching the adjustment to going more vertical only after being two scores down , coupled with the drops you pointed out , and it was too little , too late once again. Dorsey / Allen seem to get out coached at times and Peterson/ Saleh both got the better of Dorsey predominantly. It feels like two very unnecessary losses, especially todays , when we have evidence like last week that they are capable of much better. Frustrating! Just from being down here in Jax, the jags were looking at this as a big measuring stick for them as the season progresses. They were really primed to compete today , and it was apparent early that the BILLS did not match them in intensity until later in the game. This staff drops the ball at times and this was another example of mentally being out competed. Too many very poor penalties that sustained drives for the jags AFTER WE HAD STOPPED THEM. I think it’s fair to expect better than that from a very mature squad . Diggs CONSISTENTLY shows up; cant say that for many other offensive players from an intensity perspective other than Josh. The mcd/beane team is really facing a battle now given all these injuries. The season may be much more of a climb given the possible critical losses; i mean who is the one guy everybody would agree losing is a huge blow, MILANO. MCD seemed very intense and was trying to get them to “play with more energy” , expects quality and is willing to bench guys not producing. I don’t think Frazier did that enough , and i am still not sure with Dorsey even with his outbursts in the booth. Maybe that’s why critical drops just keep appearing; something just doesn’t translate / transfer at times. Just a thought as i am watching a KC team where their playmakers support mahomes more CONSISTENTLY than the corresponding guys support ALLEN. Not seeing KC GUYS dropping the ball like we see at times with the BILLS.
  6. True,He was poor , but run d has continued to be an issue all year. D failed to take anything away consistently today, being terrible in 3rd downs. . D has been giving up 6 yards plus a carry. That and the many missed tackles sealed the game with the long rushing TD. D played perfectly last week. This week unfortunately with all the injuries, things compounded. Bills will be vulnerable to teams who can run effectively in addition to their passing attack ,especially with the small lb corp. Today with the terrible breakdowns in coverage missing the two starting db’s, and all world lb Milano being out, and the o choosing not to show up for 3 quarters resulted in losing to a team who had struggled. This is why despite coming off 3 wins, many still expected the jags to pull the upset. This is a very very good staff, but every year they do something that seems inexplicable, and they manage once again to lose to a jags team that beat them 2 years ago in a similar way, and you would think they wouldn’t keep repeating the same ugly mistakes. Quite a different coaching job, production than what we saw last week The o needed to score more than 7 before the 4th quarter; hard to understand NO sense of urgency until it was really too much to overcome. This is still an issue with Dorsey ; has a game where o is not producing and he does nothing to change the pace / playcalling until its desperation time. Hope he learns at some point ,because this inconsistency will hurt them down the road in the playoff hunt for home field games. At times Allen seems to lose situational awareness where he reverts to making risky throws over choosing to run for what looks like obtainable 1st downs, or at the least getting the team in FG range. Those decisions add up over a game and there are too many examples with this staff when big plays still end up in failed drives with no points at all. IMHO, It’s really frustrating to watch such A talented team at times keep hurting themselves, but it’s become a recurrent theme over several years and seems even more apparent under DORSEY’s offensive guidance. It’s frustrating to watch them go 3 quarters or have long lulls in scoring followed by periods of scoring at will ONLY AFTER they have created desperate situations for themselves. It felt like they had overcome that after all the games following the JETS, and then they throw this type of game out there and it becomes evident why national media types are reluctant to believe the BILLS will ever SUSTAIN success over an entire season. Sadly, the injuries today may have really added another large obstacle to their chances at that SB that looked so possible last week.
  7. Was a season ticket holder for ten years , starting 2 years before the team played as you had to make that commitment to even get tickets. I had 2 club seats , 8 rows behind the visitors bench on the 32 yard line. I eventually quit buying because i had always been a BILLS fan and they rarely came to Jax early on. i just preferred watching them live versus tape delays after going to jags games. One of the other main reasons i gave the tix up was the “nice” weather. Those games are predominantly at 1pm. Only half the stadium gets shade later in the afternoon. It was actually miserable sitting and baking in that sun , where temps radiating off the field often got into the high 90’s/ low 100’s. Many times i had to go sit in the Ac cooled clubs to escape sun burns and heat exhaustion symptoms. But I didn’t want to pay huge bucks to drive downtown and watch the games on tv in the clubs; just seemed ridiculous after awhile. Just this week public health officials and several docs made statements to the NFL to advise moving the games to 4 pm starts to avoid the heat illness situation, which if you watched the MIAMI game last year , is an example of playing games in FLORIDA at this late summer time. I believe many fans stay out of the seats as they stay inside the club, multiple bar areas, the pool in the stadium etc. it is just not a regularly enjoyable situation, especially with the extreme raise in ticket prices over the years. I know for 2 club seats in the 90’s i was paying 8k$ just for the tics , not including parking , food, etc or so a year and prices have gone way up since then. Most of JAX is blue collar oriented , with the beaches areas of PONTE VEDRA, Jax beach, Neptune beach, Atlantic beach being more affluent ( esp ponte vedra where the pga /sawgrass and the WTA have their world headquarters. If you drive along the beach in ponte vedra , knowing the area well as i have lived in the town since 1985 after finishing my residency in TOLEDO Ohio , and live about a mile from the beach) , it is literally filled with huge mansions that make you wonder how anyone accrues that kind of wealth! But the majority of Jax and surrounding communities are small areas of Jax/ northern fl , and most are like good ol boy southern redneck type areas. Great people , family oriented, but not a great area of wealth). So officials are becoming aware something has to change or those seats will periodically look like that pic as people cant sit and bake for 3-4 hours while many are consuming alcohol etc. This is a real thing! I don’t care how good the team is ( and arguably under this owner the product has been terrible on the field.,, hey just 2 years ago he brought in URBAN from Ohio state fame , with no nfl experience and we all saw that debacle. This owner is more interested in London, and his global presence than Jax. This is a toy , means to an end for him than any main interest in a NFL product, as i think he is more concerned with soccer. WAYNE weaver was a much better owner for this community imo). No one, not even the NFL, had the foresight to understand the impact of the sun pounding on people for a full NFL game. Seems crazy, but it’s honestly a real compounding issue with the games. I am just trying to paint a real picture , having lived the season ticket holder life, lived in fl after being raised in Ohio , the NICE weather gets old and miserable very quickly if you sit in a stadium during 4 hours of the most intense heat of the day , while paying thousands of $ to watch a product from an owner who has historically fielded an inferior product ( plus people here grew up as gator / bulldog fans who fill that stadium for that annual cocktail party , so people were accustomed to quality, winning college football here long before the NFL arrived ). The NFL values him tho for his international ties; see the JAGS in LONDON the next 2 weeks. The NFL presence has been good for Jax business; its had a Super Bowl which brought great parties /‘entertainment to the area and there are better hospitals now like MAYO, MD ANDERSON, etc that prob wouldn’t have come to Jax had the NFL not been here. I will say SUNDAY / MONDAY night football jags games are amazing as the stadium is filled and electric, and it’s such a different experience without the oppressive heat. One of my happiest memories was being able to take my father, before he passed away with non Hodgkins lymphoma, ( he grew up poor yet became an engineer for a coal company after having started working at the company store!) to a MNF game against the STEELERS (our home in Ohio was 30 min from Pittsburgh), and there were several chicks in bikini’s sitting around us after having been partying all day to be game ready! Great night, one of the best NFL games i have attended. If more games were night games, this stadium would be filled. The night time games are really fun, but even with an improving team , if they don’t change starting times, those stands will intermittently be empty. It’s great for a single game/ vacation etc, but living in this sun / weather all the time drives you to eventually avoid it / take it for granted etc. Plus, when its still hot like this , the area is filled with water activities , boating , the beaches etc so football games will always be just one more thing, just like VEGAS games will have lots of out of town people as its just one more form of entertainment So it’s not “sad”, its just football is not the only driving thing in this community. It just is what it is, and the NFL is partly responsible demanding 1pm starts, and with the crazy prices it is becoming more of a luxury to attend and at that price point, there is a lot of competition in Florida communities. I have lived in the snow and cold and you can mitigate the cold. You can only “un-layer” so much given the heat and even then , spf creams wear off with sweating ! Wouldn’t surprise me to someday see a season ticket holder sue the NFL for melanoma after their only intense sun exposure was years of being a season ticket holder! You know it’s coming!
  8. Just kidding ,,, but not a rodgers fan who had to go on a national show and profess how he will be the first to be back from Achilles surgery in the same year in time for the playoffs. It’s always got to be about him ,,,doesn’t care about the team without him. I’m sorry, not sorry, the guy is always smug. He also did all those things i sarcastically referred too.
  9. Would be nice. No one ever wants to take a quality guy like BIJAN ROBINSON, BUT LOOK AT a mediocre talent laden team like the falcons , who are 2-0 as BIJAN has 170 yards from scrimmage , i heard quoted today, in each of those games. Guy does not go down or OOB with the breeze. Still , we saw glimpses of power running today. It was so great and something we have never had under the beane /mcd staff. They are great but i just hope they stay focused on what it takes to win when the circumstances affect passing. We saw what too much ineffective passing can result in week one. COOK. Is a good college back , but a little light in the pros. Great job today tho with Dorsey mixing it up well.
  10. Didn’t they also start 0-2 last year? So should they be overreacting as history has proven they are more than capable to right their sinking ship! I am, however , almost giddy after being robbed by three no call personal fouls , one missed by a whole team of refs as said / admitted leg whip occurred during the game ending return , to see Lady karma jump into the lives of the JESTS , and the egomaniacal , Hiawatha /Kayawasca using, rules are for you not for me jab avoiding, new surgical tech seeking , dr shopping for KOBE’S Achilles surgeon , i will be the first to MANIFEST my early return for the “playoffs”,,,,,loveable MR RODGERS,,,,whose ship (titanic) is being captained by WILSON ( not to be confused with the Tom Hanks volleyball companion who was much more likeable) and seems highly more unlikely to even sniff the postseason, rendering said MANIFESTATION (long for infestation) by MR RODGERS ,,,,,mute! Just a thought!
  11. I just saw ALEX SMITH ON ESPN W TEDDY B (prior pat lb) and ALEX broke down a few BILLS OFFENSIVE PLAYS. It was absolutely a crap show; ALEX said he couldn’t even recognize what the BILLS WERE DOING, and one of those series was the one resulting in the punt and losing the game The offensive line , including MORSE, looked unorganized and absolutely lost , as they outnumbered the jets lbs a few times with only 1 LB in the box. The bills attempted To run and MORSE WAS DOUBLE TEAMING A GUY WHILE NOT TOUCHING THE SINGLE LB , who the RB then couldn’t even make miss and was tackled for a loss. The run blocking scheme looked like there was no communication. This was repeated a couple of times, and ALEX called out the STAFF and offense , saying this was just not good enough and he couldn’t even decipher what was supposed to be going on. Then in that last series , he showed confused receivers, one stumbling to the ground and also on slo mo , the one pass where Diggs stumbled as the ball went right thru his hands. It was just to point out it wasn’t all on ALLEN THE LARGE ISSUE HE WAS POINTING OUT was he showed blocking schemes that looked unrecognizable. and a receiving corp who looked confused with routes, unprepared, and in his opinion, JUST NOT WELL COACHED. He was obviously defending ALLEN , and it appeared like ALLEN was not supported by an adequately prepped group of receivers. . Don’t shoot me, it was just a min or two segment , but to have a QB like SMITH saying the concepts were unrecognizable in his eyes, is somewhat concerning given the struggles , lulls of the offense , and overall unimpressive trend the O has experienced the longer teams have had to dissect DORSEY and his offensive planning. MAYBE the team was not emotionally burned out in that CINCY GAME; MAYBE the poor coaching and preparation was finally more than talent could overcome? Just asking!? It just looked badly coached and MCD, DORSEY , AND THE O LINE COACHING seem to be INCAPABLE of consistently fielding a well prepared product on the field, and ALEX SMITH WASN'T SHY about calling them out. “ its just not good enough”, was his and BRUSCHI’S FINAL TAKE. Fans keep expecting a dominant win and recovery from last week today, but SHOULD WE ASK , what really is that based on other than games now well over a year ago and IMO, THIS STAFF has not shown any impressive ability to get the best results out of the OFFENSE recently, and this team still seems to lack a dependable run game at least last week. Seeing the light boxes, we should have gashed that d running as they focused on not being beaten deep! I hope i misinterpreted SMITH , BUT HE BACKED IT UP SAYING THE RAIDERS WIN TODAY. ’ This is concerning for todays game with the raiders likely to be attacking BROWN, AND i think JOSH IS now so preoccupied with mcd not wanting him to run, he has done a 180 and is now hesitant to take even open run lanes to keep moving the chains. I think they are at least partly responsible for his play regression. Like SMITH SAID, this is not good enough as a staff to have results like this showing up on film. SMITH AND REX BOTH PICKED THE RAIDERS TO WIN TODAY ;shows how little confidence THEY SEE IN THIS BILLS STAFF AFTER FILM BREAKDOWN. I know everyone will jump on Rex being an idiot / blowhard , but when he was joined by SMITH and others picking jimmy G over the BILLS IN THEIR HOME OPENER AFTER AN EMBARRASSING LOSS, something just makes me wonder if issues are running deeper than we think. Are we burying our heads about the teams last few games? We will know shortly; I don’t think it will happen but if they struggle again, the talking heads may be on to something. Man, they are hyping jimmy g , but josh on espn now. These coaches talks with him are perhaps getting in his head too much.
  12. I don’t usually blame an outcome on refs, but the NFL is ADMITTING there were 3 personal fouls during this game that were not called? That is insane. That’s at least 30 yards of field position , 20 at least BEFORE OT ever occurred, that should have been called? What if those yards were during a single drive ; at a minimum it was at least another two first downs that were denied and the associated series of downs for the BILLS. It’s not a huge stretch to imagine how those errors might cost a fg or at field position that may have ended with a BILLS score , and certainly with the leg whip the winning TD would have come back. The league already looked incompetent with not calling all the false start penalties in the CHIEFS game, i believe , on the OT setting in the backfield and moving before the snap. Wow, this is why I’m glad i have never placed a bet on any NFL game. What good does going back after the fact and fining players do? Like someone else said, maybe the refs should be fined or at least forced to miss a game. I just don’t understand the reason to make this known now; wouldn’t it be better handled privately with the refs involved, as making it public doesn’t repair anything that resulted from missing the calls ? So the issue is these “ missed” , non-calls were so bad that the NFL felt it necessary to levy fines because the plays were possibly dangerous enough that injuries could have happened ? It’s hard to fathom that many significant penalties were missed by this crew in a nationally televised game where you would think the best crew/ refs would be working. I could “ understand” missing maybe ONE personal foul , but missing 3 major penalties in a MNF game? And all 3 were missed in favor of the JETS!? That is disgraceful for this still to be happening in the age of replay, and yet there is no recourse even when the leg whip was pointed out by the broadcasting team at the time! It’s no wonder you hear or see conspiracy people all over the internet complaining that NFL games are scripted ! Lol. That’S worse than someone throwing 3 ints because MULTIPLE PEOPLE WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSING THOSE CALLS. Well, hope the script features a BILLS win tomorrow !! Good luck to those of you smart enough to figure out how to pick winners against a spread with this craziness added in ! Go BILLS! Unbelievable,,,only the BILLS.
  13. Didn’t get a chance , well, actually I didn’t want to take a chance watching people dissect that cringe worthy, horrible game being handed to a team that was outplayed in almost ever facet. It is still hard to fathom that mcd and Dorsey allowed that mess to continue without doing some type of action to metaphorically slap josh upside his head ( man , when i as growing up in the 70’s, i saw a coach actually punch a kid in the chest during practice! Not ever condoning that type of craziness, but wow, why not at least get in his face, yell a little ,take the ball out of his hands with runs or crap, have a lateral to a guy who passes back to josh as DABOLL used to call, anything but do nothing BUT THE SAME), and its good to see KYLE not be afraid to be honest. Actually not surprised to hear that show was cancelled. Despite JOSH being on it , it was terrible and just a self indulgent bunch of drivel. I like Kyle, but that was just like something you might see on twitch ; just a quirky compilation of Kyles interests and trivia knowledge , not really mature entertainment. Not a big loss,,,,,unlike the JETS game!
  14. Agree w your critical but fair critiques about JA after this game and actually trend of games w increasing turnovers. Hard to get thru to a guy with a quarter billion dollars who has no consequences to be actually accountable. ( he is less replaceable than any other player and the entire staff or beane, i bet if PEGULA was asked). The only actual consequence for not changing is to take away his biggest passion/ desire, which is playing time. I don’t agree with the immature whiners and Karens around who are so fearful he can’t handle some criticism or discipline ; we all have to answer for quality if employed, licensed , etc, as a real life issue regarding pay, position, tenure etc. IF he refuses to run the offense by ignoring wide open short throws , keeps throwing into double / triple coverage, he should be benched a bit until the cliche platitudes stop in favor of good decision making, and to be sure this staff stays employed. That won’t break him in BUFFALO , like the little fan boys worry about so much, especially not more so than continued losing or leading the league in turnovers imo. A little constructive criticism tho, if i may. When critiquing someone’s intelligence , it is always good to prove qualified to do so , and a muscle bound type person has BRAWN,,,,,as Braun is more a name like Hitler’s fiancée or i believe a company that makes things like electric razors etc ! Lol,,,i am just kidding with you and, again have felt your criticisms were fair. These little histrionic, panic driven posters stating to stop being critical of a grown man because it will run him out of town, make me think of gamers dwelling in their parents basement who never had to compete in college, work , or demanding professions. I know in my profession being yelled at, belittled, etc was a right of passage and if one couldn’t handle that by striving to be better and not make the same mistake again, the chance of succeeding was little to none. God, this country and social media driven clout seekers are beyond soft. Poor ,little multimillionaire , superstar athlete might be offended or have someone SAY ( not do, which is different) something HURTFUL,,,,awwwwww !!!! Man, my grandfather, who was an immigrant coal miner, must be rolling in his grave. Mining coal, laying brick, etc, is HURTFUL ,,,,not having someone opine about you on the internet ! Sorry for the tangent, but having grown up with miners, steel workers etc in OHIO, and actually having done a little of that work /life , allows one to maintain a perspective about actual hard times or when to be thankful,,,,like getting 250 million dollars! Lol ! Best wishes, and here’s hoping this offensive mess gets turned around or I can’t even imagine how the KARENS will deal with the criticism that will be coming should the BILLS lose this weekend.
  15. No,,,,gave away a road divisional game AFTER THE OPPONENT LOST THEIR HOF STARTING QB , AND BLEW A 10 POINT HALF TIME LEAD WHILE BEING UNABLE TO CONTROL THE FRANCHISE , QUARTER BILLION DOLLAR QB WHO REPEATEDLY SAYS “ I CANT DO THAT” REGARDING TURNOVERS. THEN AGAIN FOUND YET ANOTHER WAY TO HAVE A SPECTACULAR WALK OFF LOSS AFTER PULLING EVEN FOR OT! This process will always fail under the pressure of sudden death as history has proven and winning a SB IS THE ULTIMATE SUDDEN Death situation. Allen is now 0-5 in OTand they seem to now expect to lose , just like the 90’s SB teams developed their self fulfilling prophecy after losing the first two SB’s. it was interesting to see the ever smug rodgers talking about being positive and thinking self manifestation and lecturing it to the young jets players. His psychobabble , holier than thou BS sure didn’t stop his ruptured Achilles from forming a visible ball in his left calf after it rolled up. Sorry to say but i am over his appearances with Macafee who cant control his long winded , adhd type questions and ball washing just to keep rodgers appearing on tuesdays. Now because of ESPN hiring pat, Stephen a smith, smug, narcissistic a-hole #1 is now leading into pats show apparently. And was again bragging about the Diggs hating b lo stuff. These guys are all insufferable. Mcd is at least a great man , but he has not delivered the promised trophy and the PROMINENT FAILS KEEP STACKING. Sorry , but if he cant deliver this year ( unlikely with crazy mlb situation, still with brown at RT , Dorsey as his OC), they should move on before wasting Allen’s entire prime! Hurts to say , but last night was final nail in the coffin for the process for me. It’s about a SB TITLE, not just making the playoffs.
  16. It was pretty comical as he decided to live for another day. It was over by then,,,unless they had called the missed leg whip. Good thing BEDFORD did his BEBEE ON LETT effort to save those 4 points. That’s inspiring, but lost in all the Allen debacle. Kind of like dons effort was lost in that 52-17 mess. But i there in Pasadena with my seats right on that goal line , just down the line tho across the field. Best memory of my trip going out there ! DONS description of that play is something to hear as its his best SB MEMORY, better than the win with Green Bay. Too bad no one wanted to be a hero with a forced fumble last night!
  17. True , but you have to break tackles at some point ( see whites two arm tackles being broken leading to impressive chunk runs) , and cook is no THURMAN THOMAS,, lol,,,guy is pretty light in the pants and while he can get around pursuit, he is not snapping off big runs and there were times some larger gains were in front of him if he had more balance and power. Better than last year but still quick to be stopped short of first downs. Murray looked good . Lewis looked ok so far. Line cant always hold holes open for long.
  18. I’m sorry; respectfully josh is not “too good. “ You are looking thru rose colored lenses and you are denying reality of the worsening trend that JOSH iS regressing under Dorsey whose offense is unimaginative and lacks production from ant receiver not named DIGGS OR KINCAID. DAVIS continues to disappear as a legit #2 , and again we saw routes that Diggs /Davis almost ran into each other raising scheme design and coaching issues. What evidence is there that DORSEY can creatively get production from the other new WRS who were supposedly so good in camp? This feels like the same issues that closed out last year with chaotic playoff performances. Your franchise qb cant keep leading the league in turnovers and be so situationally unaware. Apparently he missed the well witnessed event of RODGERS Being replaced by WILSON, and continued decision making along the lines of hero ball and regressed to rookey like progression reading. This is an ongoing trend over two seasons now and what objective evidence supports josh suddenly halting his turnover spree? How could you ever make the statement that “ NO MATTER HOW BAD MCDERMOTT & DORSEY ARE, THE BILLS WILL BOUNCE BACK” ! THAT is just homerism and ignores the continued trend of this team giving up large chunk runs at least once a game, poor tackling, and losing via some spectacular defensive breakdown with some walk off ending like in HOUSTON, kc, or last night , as this new way of losing by giving up a walk off punt return in OT has only happened 3 times in the leagues history. This is a pattern of dysfunction and they have fallen into a trend of being outcoached by teams with lessor talent and less tenured coaching staffs. If you want to see actual good quality play from likely playoff bound teams , take a look at the 49ers crushing the Steelers, Miami’s juggernaut offensive production against the Chargers, or the COWBOYS defensive destruction of the GIANTS as legit examples of probable playoff quality play compared to the PROCESS we have witnessed, which has resulted in repeated playoff early exits, amd seems to now have carried over to the 2023 regular season. WRITE THIS DOWN; there is no way the BILLS rip off 7 straight wins , especially if the ALLEN turnover machine continues with this reckless play and this trend of long lulls in scoring after halftime. The up and coming DOLPHINS will blow them out with their offensive explosive play. We scored ONE TD in an OT game , and had RODGERS played last night ,the JETS would have probably won by 30 or more. Meanwhile, Tua threw for 466 yards with 3 TDS, and TYREK HILL destroyed the chargers with 215 0r so yards and a TD! Poyer and WHITE cant keep up with waddle /hill and their tackling of RBS continues to end in bad angles and inability to finish a play. If we don’t find an answer at the MLB position opposite MILANO , AND stick with BROWNS RT PLAY, the tough schedule will result in us being around .500 as the FINS are coached to capturing the AFC EAST. Von , like rodgers , is fighting Father Time now and there is no certainty he will RETURN to be highly effective. The situation with ALLEN didn’t get better with all the off season focus on ‘ understanding he cant have turnovers” , so to say he will “bounce back “ no matter how bad his coaches are , is grasping at prior years play. Meanwhile , SHANAHAN has Mr irrelevant PURDY playing flawlessly enough to move on from their prior 1st round QB , while DORSEY is calling draw plays in overtime on 2nd and 15 against a dominant defense resulting in a three and out and punt return for a game wining , walk off td! I don’t mean to seem obstinate , i just have to see some shred of evidence that ALLEN CAN begin to bounce back. However, so far in the preseason and first game , he and the team look to have the exact issues that culminated with CINCY last year, and while i agree the pass rush looks improved, there is no evidence YET that DORSEY can be a creative offensive coordinator. I would love to see them bounce back, but they gave up a ten point halftime lead to a guy in WILSON who may not win any subsequent games without the defense scoring. It will be interesting to see how others breakdown josh’s performance. Hey , i hope i can apologize and give you props if they somehow get to 7-1, but i cant get there off a 1 td, 4 TO debacle, that feels like a continuation of last years downward spiral. Hopefully they at least stop the bleeding next week , but i think subsequently that TUA AND THE FINS may really expose them. Glad you are holding on to your optimism in the face of this latest melt down; you are a more courageous fan than i am currently. I need to see actual improvement before I believe in a string of wins. Best wishes.
  19. Really great points, and stats with analysis. This trend started mid year last year under Dorsey’s supervision.JOSH said he understood the turnovers could lead to losses. REPEATEDLY STATES he understood, but obviously in certain critical game situations , he reverts to poor decision making that results in point production lost chances , and allows lesser teams to hang around as the self induced pressure keeps intensifying . It’s become a noticeably bad trend , pattern of play, where the BILLS QB no longer distributes the ball to several wrs with any consistency. DAVIS keeps getting few targets and what production IS coming from other than Diggs , beyond the 4 targets to Kincaid? The same offensive lulls keep appearing now. This pattern resulted in teams eventually taking Diggs away, and it’s looking like the same situation is about to recur. What impact did we really get from Hardy or SHERFIELD , after hearing how great they looked in camp? It’s becoming disturbing because JOSH now is not distributing the ball. He keeps forcing deep throws despite open players being free in shorter routes, according to film breakdown gurus over at cover one who brought this up in their post game podcast. . Once Again , we saw Diggs and Davis almost run into each other on a pass pattern similar to the latter part of last season; so is it poor design or is undisciplined wr play, or inadequate coaching ? Once we have a lead , ALLEN seems to do the antithesis of conservative winning football, becoming almost careless and we keep seeing UNFORCED mistake filled decisions leading to turnover deficits that are almost impossible to overcome. As a younger player , these type of decisions would have gotten him benched , but now post contract, he faces no consequences and delivers platitude filled post game pressers where he repeatedly states “ i cant do that”. It almost becomes insulting to listen to as a lifetime fan of the team as i just expected more from an organization led by mcd and beane with JOSH being such a likable personality. This is not the playoff caliber product that MCD preaches is their standard. An 0-5 OT record proves this staff and team has, and will, apparently continue to make crucial game ending mistakes. Tonight was yet a whole new way to lose , as its become the standard to give up some huge runs and then some spectacular last second defensive gaff. As much as i respect MCD as a quality man, it’s becoming a recognizable trademark to have games end with some terrible walk off play. It seems incompatible with expecting post season success ending in a Lombardi trophy; rather , how will we keep finding new ways to lose! Teams like the 49ers, eagles , fins are playing an improving brand of football and they look primed to jump ahead as SB contenders. It’s only one game , yet it feels like a recognizable pattern under this PROCESS. i think its reasonable to ask if MCD’s coaching results have peaked, as his QB with supposedly generational talent, is regressing over certainly the last two games IF NOT MORE. . LEADS don’t feel safe any longer. We lost an in hand , winnable, road, season opening , divisional game to a team tonight who lost a HOF QB WITHIN THE FIRST QUATER, and we even blew a second chance to win with another embarrassing team breakdown ! Maybe they will turn things around ,, but there is a sense of deja vu of prior season ending losses that is hard to feel encouraged by. If the QB PLAY cant be fixed, MCD may be facing his own seat growing very warm, but DORSEY’S SEAT IS ON FIRE. YOU CAN’T BENCH A quarter billion dollar investment, but can you be happy with this type of production? First round draft prospects as healthy scratches; MLB choice not firmly settled despite a whole off season; RT play that has a 6’8” guy being walked back into the pocket several times; lack of a running game compared to a “passing team” like the 49ers ! It just feels like a rinse and repeat of prior disappointments Hoping to see better next week , but cant say I EXPECT better , sadlY, after MCD got out-coached once again by a less tenured coach forced to play a QB he had hoped to replace. Pretty soon even KYLE BRAND may be unhooking his wagon!
  20. Great point about the team needing to be more physical. I appreciate SIMS/ FLORIO ; they are knowledgeable as any national press is concerning the BILLS, imho. Unfortunately i just watched their season opener predictions and both picked the BILLS to lose straight up Monday. It’s a tough opener). Buffalo has had some history of limiting RODGERS so offensively i think if we avoid one of the inexplicable blowouts that mcd’s teams have occasionally thrown out there ( hey , i know it was preseason, but that first team o /d was abysmal and embarrassing against the STEELERS ,and inexplicable once again). SIMS pointed to the JETS essentially having 2 starting d lines , and we all know o lines take time to gel, so this is a challenging opener in NY, 9/11 being remembered, prime time etc. Florio described the BILLS as a Jenga tower,,wobbly where things could tumble out of control. I also caught PETE PRISCO tonight ( he started in the Jax market and i met him at a bar many years ago where i struck up a conversation w his GF/ now wife, waiting to be served. Told her i liked his work , and she took me over to meet him and we ended up having a few drinks while talking football. Really, really nice guy, and he feels people are sleeping on the BILLS ) who picked the BILLS this week. I prefer PETE’S pick , but florio is usually pretty linked in as an insider , and he / sims kept dwelling on wondering if the BILLs have done enough to keep up with the changing talent in the division. Florio believes thE DIGGS strange issues will recur especially w any early adversity. Sims has been a big Allen / bills guy and he is voicing real concern over the support around ALLEN He doesn’t seem to think this roster has enough proven offensive talent.; surprising after his prior years being almost fan like. I agree , the RB room looks better , esp behind COOK. It comes down to that o line gelling tho as cook has to have holes being he is more elusive and not great breaking tackles. I hope McGovern’s knee is ok , TORRANCE looks legit, and brown seems to be a question medically imo ( who as a 6’ 8’ guy with back issues, in my 42 years in medicine, i cant honestly remember a case where mechanical LOW back issues ever disappeared with time ), Dawkins had huge weight fluctuations ( went up over 375 before dropping 40 lbs on what he described as something akin to a very low cal diet ,which is a little concerning given the reality of possible muscle breakdown in the process) are part of the Jenga metaphor that i hope stays upright to protect JOSH ! The O LINE potential looks better than last year , yet rough place to start that gelling. They sure didn’t look great in Pittsburgh but hopefully that was a preseason anomaly. That and the unexpected Cincy collapse have left questions that only playing well in the opener can shut down. More than prior years, I feel like its a prove it to me mindset this year with mcd/ beane, and with JOSH. Going into this year with HOPEFULLY an improved receiving corp (great add with Kincaid ,but behind DAVIS there is a group of unproven guys who we have to HOPE actually emerge). My main question revolves around DORSEY proving he can be creative enough to stop the big 3rd quarter lulls and use the 12 personnel sets effectively. I would love to see JOSH actually be ok taking what D’s give and him not repeating last years red zone turnover issues. He always states “i cant do that “ , yet he kept repeating mental errors. Hoping Dorsey acts like more than a colleague , but actually more like DABOLL, and demands more from josh regarding his mental choices and prep. . He is a generational talent who makes unbelievable throws, but those spectacular throws cant be negated by careless ints. The first week is going to potentially be a low scoring , tight game. It’s Dorsey who has to help josh reach his greatness; he can’t be passive about addressing mental mistakes like it seemed last year. Daboll is missed more than i expected. ( meanwhile Reid and Mahomes keep looking great on offense with great coaching of avg receivers. Mahomes rarely makes mental mistakes, but had a pick 6 that wasn’t his fault as I’m watching. Josh could do well emulating that as the turnovers are his only achilles heel ) My big hope is that they don’t suffer from bad luck injuries or guys just finally aging. Imo , WHITE, MILLER, PHILLIPS, HYDE, POYER are really at points where they could be great or time could finally overcome them. Hyde had the cervical issue and those don’t usually happen as isolated events and hearing he had some back issues already is another “ Jenga” type issue. Let’s hope they have one last big run left as a group, as they have been great to cheer for. I cant fully understand letting the MLB issue come down to hoping a guy who missed the entire preseason be the starter , while finally grabbing a guy to plug in after cuts. He may be the guy , but I wouldn’t be too shocked if the jets have success running against that under sized LB group before he gets plugged in. It’s just some strange moves like this that at times raise questions about mcd/ beane and their roster choices; they DID make a move , but it took until right before the first week on a known area with no clear starter. Here’s also hoping the DL can actually get a pass rush, unlike how last year played out , prior to VON. I think Floyd little is a critical pick up , and i hope he and GROOT finally produce a consistent. pass rush. Pressures are ok , but you need to get some sacks and not give up those third and longs teams converted so often last year. its exciting to have the season back; here’s to them finally having a year where they don’t beat themselves, coaching comes together, and somehow the crazy tough reg season schedule doesn’t take a toll. I think we can win the opener , but only if we have 1 or less turnovers or win the T O battle. It would be great to open with a win , just to dampen that RODGERS hype and smugness. I really like your point about them lacking physicality previously, and will be looking for a change. Will prob see you in the shout box to say hello. Hope it’s a good start buddy!
  21. Hey buddy, good to see you post prior to the season. You are always a very knowledgeable, and realistic fan and i always enjoy you in the shout box. I was just watching SIMS and FLORIOS podcast about their final predictions of the AFC EAST. Surprisingly, BOTH PREDICTED THE BILLS to finish THIRD OR FOURTH in the division. Sims has always been extremely pro ALLEN. BOTH stated they see turmoil on the team based on DIGGS and the poor preseason play. They cited the entire divisions very difficult schedule making for a rough year. However, they both felt the team , by proxy BEANE, has not done enough, especially offensively by not adding other playmakers ( like Hopkins, Cook, despite drafting Kincaid etc. BTW their words not mine) and again just expect JOSH to be Superman and overcome talent deficiencies. They felt both the JETS & FINS have great rosters now. They cited aging players like VON etc as a weakness that could go either way , but needs addressing. They went as far to say they both expect the BILLS to miss the playoffs and FLORIO barely contained himself from saying the PATS would overtake the BILLLS for third place , but felt he couldn’t go that far to formally say that. Florio did say if the BILLS miss the playoffs, he expects big and sweeping changes in the organization. They really feel the PROCESS/ BEANE have dropped the ball and so far missed the SB window during this time, implying they have not won it all with a great franchise QB unlike the success the chiefs and even the success the Bengals have had (my summary from their prior feelings about Mahomes/burrows. Again, should the BILLS strugggle , they believe changes WILL happen. This is a big change from prior years, esp for SIMS, but he really sees them as not making the playoffs. Having followed the BILLS since ‘63 , i watched them do poorly in the preseason LEVY years, then do well. Mcd is not like LEVY, he usually expects good effort /performances , yet i never felt the preseason mattered greatly to him, but still more than it meant to Levy. However , coming off last season where despite wins, IMHO there were big issues developing and it culminated with CINCY. The Steelers preseason game was abysmal , the last preseason game the first team O looked ok but against a very developing BEARS team. Something just feels different when guys like SIMS, who is pretty tied in and knowledgeable , is pointing out it feels like this front office just doesn’t get it with needing to provide proven offensive talent around JOSH. Predicting his BOY BLUE to miss them playoffs is a big change. I think it comes down to Dorsey’s development, and JOSH finally proving he can take the int/turnover issue seriously and be willing to take short open throws ( which i am not convinced he will ever accept as a premise based on his past years of missing very open short routes) If they perform offensively similarly to the final part of last year, those bad predictions could very well come true. Just wondered what you thought; are you surprised someone like SIMS and Florio think the beane /mcd team could be in trouble, despite extensions, with a missed playoff season? Surprised they see the roster with some very significant weaknesses ( have to admit I’m not sure Von. White ,Hyde, poyer are still the same game changers they were), esp compared to the jets/fins ? I’m really not sure what to expect , but i do feel mcd is coaching for his BILLS future. Should they have any gaffs like 13 sec again ( 10 players for first play in Pitt is a red flag for a vet coach /staff imo with 12 penalties as well), an owner cant keep wasting a talent like ALLEN, and missing the playoffs should be a changing point. I thought McD could be a TOMLIN like coach , but you have to get there at least and win one sometime or that is a mute comparison. I think we will get an indication pretty quickly. This team was mentally out of the Cincy game and unfortunately , this franchise has never won a Lombardi, and they have experienced blowing games in the playoffs where they had leads and looked to be in control. IMO, they need to prove mentally they are past last years collapse. It seems concerning that insiders ( I WAS REALLY SHOCKED SIMS PICKED THEM 3RD in division) are actually stating there is something not right , some behind the scene real issues holding this team back. It’s speculation/opinion, but is very pervasive this year. When you see younger coaches of the EAGLES/ BENGALs having achieved further team goals than mcd/beane , it’s a fair question if they have a philosophy that could actually bring a SB to Buffalo. Here’s hoping we somehow pull out a win against the jets to quiet the press. But , hey , it’s just football , and it’s just good entertainment , not life affecting issues. More importantly, hoping you are well and you have an enjoyable season watching!
  22. There is no way to prove any final association with the BILLS final defensive ranking related to edmunds SOLELY. You have multiple factors; WHITE may not ever return to prior form ; a first round draft pick may fail to progress and see the field with ELAM; VON MILLER MAY not return to prior form soon or at all; HYDE AND POYER are both coming off injury filled seasons and are aging; BASHAM AND AJ may fail to progress ; FLOYD , a great signing imo , may not be used as well by mcd and not have his usual 9 plus sacks in his first year in a new system; the CB 2 position may have Jackson staying pat proving BEANE has issues with his drafts ; poona FORD and Tim settle so far have been underwhelming as reported by people like cover 1 and that may harm the run D; PHILIPPS may not fully recover from his shoulder and other injuries issues that continue to plague him here; fraziers loss and mcd’s added burdens may result in more unexpected communication debacles like “13 seconds”. I mean we started the last preseason game with 12 first half penalties and the O started with 10 men on the field for heavens sake, proving once again this staff has communication issues ; the entire schedule is much tougher this year in terms of facing much better opponent QBs , with 2 divisional games now being against a future HOF QB in RODGERS; and there has been no competent competition brought in to compete against DODSON AND BERNARD with NEITHER EVEN GRASPING THE STARTING MLB/ILB job yet and this is more a reflection on MCD& BEANE stubbornly failing to draft or bring in any real players with a history of past success at the position , relying on HOPE JUST AS THET ARE DOING RELATED TO SPENCER BROWN. THERE are just too many factors at play to reach some predetermined conclusion that “ all the people that bashed EDMUNDS on this board “ are in any way wrong about their assessment of his play and worth. Edmunds is apparently having some issues of availability in CHICAGO early on , so it may have been net positive to have let him walk after 5 YEARS of first hand evaluation of his so called stellar play. Let’s see how things play out for him in CHICAGO , before criticizing the BILLS STAFF FOR allowing him to in all likelihood be overpaid relative to his actual results and stats. Let’s see if he remains an impactful mlb for another team. My main point however , is there are too many compounding factors to say any defensive rank drop off is SOLELY RELATED TO MISSING EDMUNDS. The ranking could drop for any or all of the reasons i cited theoretically, but the major issue is not having lost a good ( not exceptional LB), but the crazy HOPING by BEANE that his undersized draft pick Bernard would step right in after barely seeing the field last year. There were some very adequate free agents who could have most likely adequately replace Edmunds , OR EVEN proven to be better replacements , yet BEANE let his ego dictate his replacement strategy , and that may be the most important reason behind any defensive rank drop! BUT we will never really know with all the compounding factors , and if they march KLein out there as the week one starter, BEANE has no one to blame other than himself , and having watched EDMUNDS NON STELLAR PRODUCTION, i would argue they were the ones who let him walk yet never adequately attempted to replace him , and that’s not the fault of ‘the fans who bashed EDMUNDS “ who was known for his trailing technique tackling much more so than him being some hard hitting LB who LEAD THE D TO STELLAR RESULTS. But we’ll never know pending the lackluster insight to attempt to replace him with players he had already beaten out and was superior too. That doesn’t mean he was irreplaceable , just more puzzling MCD Stubbornness,,,,but i could be wrong and only time will give us some clue to the truth. I really like MILANO, but they don’t have any DARYL TALLEY , BENNETT, OR CONLAND, OUT THERE TO SUPPORT HIM , so its another year hoping instead of actively finding a replacement who might be a hard hitter as opposed to the soft EDMUNDS style we lived with far too long! Lol ! Best wishes. Go BILLS!
  23. I agree. The jest are more evil to me, more of a rival i cant stand. It was a total rogers kiss a$$ fest. Wow, how good was that throw,,,he’s ours , he’s our qb , no other qb can make that throw,,,,then he and Wilson doing blind look throws against no rush. Crap, Wilson couldn’t make throws eyes wide open last year ( Wilson is another narcissistic a hole so having rodgers mentor him seems appropriate) so suddenly rodgers teaching him blind look throws is progress?! Their motto of “what now” after everything to refer to what now after you have supposedly done your regular job was junior high motivational stuff. Rodgers acting like he wants to teach players and Wilson now,( as he has never been fond of helping younger players, is an obvious act in front of the hard knocks cameras) ,,,wearing headphones during the game and joking with Saleh ( who during their hof game seemed to treat rodgers as a fellow staff rather than player) and just all the placing Rodgers on a pedestal crap did nothing for me but solidify why he will always be a narcissistic douche imo. Garrett Wilson is another prima donna wr big mouth as well during practice who would grow tiring very quickly. Throw in the talk by Saleh calling the jets “eagles “ while referring to others as crows , trying to attack the eagles who soar high and cause crows to suffocate added to the “make me gag “ diatribe during the episode. UGH! ,,(,i actually watch several eagle nests on YouTube as its a fascinating process watching their behavior , with one here in Jax area and a very well known one by fort Myers’s, as they hatch and raise a clutch each year. If a crow finds the eagle nest /eggs unattended, i have seen multiple times where the crows outsmart the eagles and destroy and eat the entire clutch. Have never seen a crow fly with an eagle , just quickly strafe by them to get them out of the crows area as eagles raid nests and kill the young of other birds.). Lol. Saleh was implying they are the hunted now in the afc east and they are the Eagles while all other teams are crows !? Pretty petty motivational talk for adults imo. Not going to ever be confused with MARV LEVY! They have done nothing as a team yet, but just having rodgers doing no look throws in practice has them acting as arrogant as he is. Of course the narrator of hard knocks , with rodgers referring to him as ‘the voice of GOD’ , had to fly into practice by helicopter. Liev or however you spell his name , is no john facenda ! Rodgers was fan boying all over him, of course, as star chasing has always been a big part of rodgers facade and plays to his narcissistic self importance. It was an hour of idol worshipping as we kept hearing from players how amazing rodgers is. At one point rodgers gave sauce a compliment , only to have sauce go off on this tangent about his goal to be in the hof. Rodgers , as soon as sauce starts explaining his goals , looks off to his right and looks completely uninterested while sauce goes into his story about his mothers encouragement etc. Rodgers looked so bored as you could read his mind , thinking i couldn’t care less kid and I’m sorry i Said anything to spur your diatribe on about getting to the HOF ,,, get me out of here! Lol, rodgers disinterest in anyone else is why he has a history of going thru relationships and his hobbies are self indulgent “ mind or conscious “ seeking endeavors like his drug experimentation , mind expanding Peruvian adventure. He also said the jets shouldn’t be so negative while losing the HOF GAME , and they need to work on their ‘manifestation “ process of meditation or thinking. It was just more rodgers believing he is on a different intellectual plane than even the coaching staff. It was the nauseating crap psychobabble he is known for. Contrast that to mcds culture of the process , earning things, knowing your teammates well and their families , just the blue collar work ethic with appreciation of the BILLS MAFIA as the team seems genuinely happy to represent the BUFFALO community, not interested in self promotion ( the jets also had method man close out a practice ; all this distracting stuff in just one hard knocks episode). It is a definite contrast in team personas between the BILLS and an arrogant JETS squad. Mcd/beane are approachable and a perfect organizational fit , as is josh and most players on this team including their possible budding star rookie tight end. Sorry for the rant, triggered by a full hour of RODGERS on hard knocks ,,,,add the JETS and RODGERS as villains this season IMO and i hope that first game squashes all the preseason hype that hard knocks is reaffirming. I like the bills as more of an underdog , as even the buffalo plus podcast crew mentioned the BILLS seem more humble , more focused this year with a very productive camp compared to the SB HYPED ,, somewhat self indulgent team from a year ago. Go BILLS!
  24. I have watched every match , and this was a good game by both teams. It was definitely the best the USA played in the cup. They had it right there to win , esp with Sweden missing one and the USA keeper blocking one in addition. Smith had played a good game and all she had to do was put her kick in and it would have been over. The usa’s keeper not only blocked one but also kicked her penalty kick in, while 3 USA players , including the always vocal Megan rapinoe , missed their kicks as the Sweden keeper never blocked a single penalty shot. It seemed like karma as RAPINOE was seen dancing on the field after they played poorly against Portugal , yet made it thru to the elimination phase with a 0-0 draw. Many commented, including former USA players , that her’s and the teams resection seemed tone deaf. The USA only managed 5 points in the pre knockout phase with 1 win and two draws; their lowest point total in many cups. The game was really won by the Sweden keeper who blocked 11 shots in the game and many were amazing saves. Personally , I thought it was ironic for Rapinoe , likely playing her last cup , missed her pk so badly. She was a very late substitution and she also played poorly , looking slow and ineffective in her appearance as a sub for Alex Morgan. All i could think was maybe its time to go , as her focus is so much about equal pay , LGBTQ issues etc, when the reason she had any platform to begin with was because the USA won so much as a team focused on soccer, not social issues. It felt similar to all the loud noise heard from the wnba players who complain about pay , yet have a poor product based on market results. It’s ok to have a voice , but it seems they may be forgetting the main reason anyone even looks their way is primarily based on athletic talent and team results. It’s no wonder they are drawing heavy criticism, while at the same time many fans have mixed feelings over their loss as the team appeared arrogant and entitled throughout the cup prior to their best game resulting in the loss. This is not the same USWST that had many role models like Hamm, but now seems more agenda driven, with prior recent players like HOPE being arrested DWI while having her children in the car with her. Nice police cam of her arrest on YouTube. This team is now squandering all the good will they had earned as a great team young American girls could look up to. I agree, they deserved the loss , tho the keeper really played a very good game and even partially blocked swedens winning kick as it barely made it past the goal line only after video review, as the goalie even hit it a second time while it rebounded past her. Tough loss, but you are right , deserved and i really wasn’t upset seeing this US team eat a little humble pie. I understand your view, , but why not keep playing the regular game like the NHL does ? That format has resulted in some great classic overtime games. Why switch to an entirely different format of play to decide such a huge event like a World Cup, after just 30 additional overtime minutes? Hey , even the NFL realized they need be better in the playoffs regarding overtime. While exciting in a way , the pk format gave a result where many felt the best team didn’t move on, just like the BILLS/KC game. I can see pks for regular , pre knockout type games , but i think the final 16 elimination phase deserves a better overtime conclusion and the NHL has it right. ( watching now as England won on pks over Nigeria , and Australia just took the lead 1-0 against Denmark. The World Cup is an event worth watching IMHO ).
  25. Thanks for the info. , I didn’t know that. Is it going to mediation ? Hope you are doing great and getting ready for an exciting season! Really tough schedule this year; if they finally win it all they will have proven they are right up there with the great 90’s teams. The afc looks brutal! I think the D will finally be real under Mcd. it looks like we will finally have a true running game, be able to finish games off and have a real presence in the red zone with the power backs and a rookie tight end who could be a real threat like kelce. Hope they stay healthy. Best wishes and hoping you have a quiet weekend!
