What's the point of this team's philosophy?
frostbitmic replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
The teams goal seems to be to win the AFC East every year, and they're doing good there, though their goals could and should be higher. As far as philosophy, I'm as clueless as complimentary football. Do they want to slow the offense down so McDermott's defense is on the field less. If that's the case you need a new defensive philosophy. -

At the end it got to the point where if Gabe caught the ball anywhere BUT at the sideline I’d be screaming for him to “go down”! He seemed desperate to stop, turn inside, and then put the ball on the ground when defenders surrounded him. He never learned. -

I made a post saying this same thing. I think Allen will be having a lot more fun out there. -

the baby is here but geography matters??? there's an obvious hypocrisy with one significant difference. One is a human life -
I think they're different. Grable and Clayton are projections based on potential. Soloman has a track record of incredible production but just lacks prototypical size.

Edwards was always a decent starter he only didn’t get a bigger contract is that in 2022 he got hurt. But I love Edwards more as a 6th linemen in a jumbo package and the first guard off the bench in case of injury with some RT flexibility. I think Van Pran takes the starting center spot and McGovern takes the LG spot. Which solidifies the bench as the bench now has Edwards back on it, Collins a solid vet option if healthy, Van Denmark a capable swing tackle and decent developmental options in Anderson and Grabel -
Kristi Noem is human trash

The problem isn't that she made a mistake 20 years ago...it's that she still won't acknowledge that it was the wrong thing to do to kill it without even attempting rehoming or rehabilitation...and that she was proud of it, and that she couldn't humanely put a goat down. She's trying to turn this into a 20 year old "cancel culture" (which I have always been against) moment about a mistake she may have made 20 years ago...but the problem is she won't acknowledge that she made mistakes here. Like if someone made sexual comments that fell under the umbrella of sexual harassment about someone else 20 years ago, without actually raping them or anything, and was remorseful today about it when it was brought up, OK. If they doubled-down on what they did...like what's being done here...that's a different story. Growing up in South Dakota on a ranch doesn't make it OK to do what she did to the dog or to be attempting to put down animals when you don't know how to properly or humanely do it and then brag about it in a book and double-down on what you did. -

I also think it was Maye. It seems like there was enough smoke there. I don't really follow the Vikings, but I believe it was reported somewhere that their OC (McCown) was Maye's H.S. Coach. -
Yikes that’s a ton of words! As I’ve said repeatedly, the Bills swung for the fences following 13 seconds, believing they were right on the proverbial doorstep…and they missed. Now, they have to reload. Will they be better? Does it matter? They didn’t have a choice but to turnover the roster. Not sure what all the rest of the analogies and yapping is about.

I agree, I don't call it a deflection, that's what @BillsFanNC calls it. You simply thought there was a possible hypocrisy there or maybe even still do and I just gave you my take on that, it was that simple and we didn't have any childish back and forth and like you said, found common ground. -

Yeah, most surprising to me is McCarthy. I like him. Seems like a good dude with tenacity. But nothing that I saw at Michigan screamed franchise QB to me other than his grit. I have a hard time seeing his ceiling as anything higher than “game manager with occasional flashes”. Maybe O’Connell can scheme up ways to help him over achieve. I have no take on Maye. Never really watched him. -

"Keith Davidson, who was Stormy Daniels’s lawyer, just explained that he used pseudonyms for Daniels and Trump in the written deal he drew up, and that Trump’s pseudonym, as has been reported, was David Dennison. Joshua Steinglass, the prosecutor, asks Davidson if David Dennison was a real person and Davidson responds that he was, and that they were hockey teammates. “How’s he feel about you now?” Steinglass asks. “He’s very upset,” Davidson responds to general laughter." (per NYT) Ok, that's pretty funny

Gabe still did it some. He had a TD last year that was vintage deep sideline stuff. His height and good hands, made up for less than top speed and average route running. But most of that success was Allen fitting it into TIGHT windows. That is what he can do that other QBs just can't - hit deep sideline windows with lasers. It would be even more deadly with a WR with hands, routes, and speed - a true boundary WR.
